If you are looking for comfy tall boots that fit wide feet along with big calves, then look no further because these boots are it. I am 5'5 weigh 178lbs and have calves that measure 15.5-16 inches. These boots fit nicely on (bare skin with ankle socks) but fit snug when I am wearing skinny jeans inside them. Hence since I know my jeans fit into these boots I know my tights or knee high socks will too. I have had such a hard time trying to find tall boots that fit my wide feet along with my big calves and the search is over, I am thinking whether to get the black ones as well. I bought mine in chocolate and they are true to color. LET ME WARN YOU THOUGH....the boots fit SNUG with my SKINNY jeans which I am wearing with ankle socks. I don't have any more room for anything else. So if you are trying to find snug boots around the calves, then these are the boots. The ankle area is not tight at all. There is room around them. I love the fact that they have zippers on the sides. It makes getting into them very easy. LOVE these boots!

I love these boots! They are super comfortable and look great. They fit great over skinny jeans, but aren't too side to wear next to skin. I can wear them all day without any problem! I want to get them in another color.

I've been looking for tall boots for my "muscular calves" for awhile. I discovered the "wide-calf" and "extra wide-calf" section here and decided to give it a whirl. I have a 16" calf and thought this would be perfect. (size 6 and the description says 17" for a size 8 I believe) Out of the box and onto my leg, it was a bit snug at first. But the side panels are elastic, which is perfect to get the boot on nice and snug. I've been wearing it almost every day since to get that perfect comfy fit. So far so good. The shoe part is a tad roomy, but not so much where my feet slip everywhere. I'm able to wear these over jeans. I'd recommend these to anyone looking for that pair of tall boots and are in between a wide and extra wide AND have smaller sized feet.

My calves measure 16¼" and I wear a size 11. I do not usually write reviews, but since the one I read pushed me to buy these boots and they are great I thought I would put my two cents in. I usually seem to be in-between a wide calf and regular. One review said they are snug with skinny jeans and that is exactly right. But they are still comfortable. They look great. I have not owned tall boots in many years because I am hard to fit. These exceeded my expectations. I really expected to have to send them back because the wide calf was way too wide. I am glad that I took the plunge and ordered. I am very happy with them.

The boot was a great buy. The first time I wore them out was for over 7 hours and they were comfy throughout. I'd buy them again period.

I LOVE these boots. They fit perfectly and look amazing. My only complaint is one of the shoes has some small scratches on the leather at the top of the boot. It was like that when I took it out of the box. They aren't too noticeable so I will deal with it. But the boot itself is fabulous.

Returning this boot because it looks cheap and of poor quality. I could see glue and a poor die job. Very disappointed. I want to replace Fitzwell boots purchased in '09.

More comfortable than I could have imagined! I have very wide calf and after one wearing they stretched to a cozy fit. I am able to wear leggings under without any issue.

Zappos is a wonderful way to shop without leaving your home. I ordered 5 pairs of boots, kept 2 pairs and returned the others. Returning is very easy which is a plus in my book. Thanks for your great service.

Have very large calves and this fit! Can even tuck in leggings and skinny jeans too. Happy with the purchase. Fit is comfortable and the price was reasonable. As always Zappos service is amazing.

I love these boots! I have an 18" calf and the fit is perfect. I ordered the extra wide. They fit great and are very comfortable. I have wide feet. I wear an 8 but I always order half a size larger so I have more room. I ordered an 8½ and I wish that I had not, I should have ordered my size, 8, as they would of been perfect! I just double my socks and that works. But next time I will order my true size. The boots look great, and feel great, and I have gotten lots of compliments on them already! I will definitely be ordering for from Zappos again!

I love these boots! I have wide calves and am on my feet all day (teacher). These boots fit great (plenty of room around my calves) and my feet aren't tired after a full day of teaching. They were also some of the best priced boots I looked at. Definitely a good value.

I love these boots! They fit well every where, they are so, so comfy and stylish. I have not owned a pair of tall dressy boots in over 15 yrs. Besides being vertically challenged, and overweight, I have wide feet, bunions, hammertoes, and had my left ankle replaced (which left it significantly larger than my right!). A couple yrs. ago I ordered a pair of wide width, and wide calf dress boots, from Zappos, and had to send them back, because they were too tight around my left ankle, and irritated the hammer toe. Thankfully I was dealing w/ Zappos, returns are free and hassle free!

Very cute boots and super comfortable. They definitely run big. I would order 1/2 size down from what you normally wear. I am going to reorder them in a 9 instead of a 10.

Very stylish and nice looking boot, however the WW width is not a true WW width and the calf circumference dose not match the true circumference of boots in a WW width category.

I usually wear a 7 but bought a 7.5 as that's all they had and figured I could put insoles in if needed. The footbed was way too large but the calf fit great, roomy but not too roomy. I knew even with insoles the foot would be too big.By this point they had a 7 so I picked it up and it fit much better. The foot was a better fit but the calf was now very tight - even at wide. I've kept the boots cause they're very cute and comfortable and am hoping the calf may stretch a bit.

I wanted wider calf boots to tuck my jeans into. These would be PERFECT for doing that (for a girl with big calves), but they're too big just to wear with dresses & tights or leggings. With that in mind, I'm returning and still searching. (I realize I'm looking for the holy grail - don't burst my bubble.)

I have purchased a number of fitzwell knee high boots over the years, and I particularly like their style, comfort, and that they have a nice selection of boots for wide calves. I initially noticed that the quality of the leather was not as nice as other fitzwell shoes I've purchased. These were also a tad snug around my calves, but the elastic has enough give that it works. Overall, I'm satisfied with my purchase. I really wish Fitzwell would come out with some brown knee high boots with heels.

I love the look and style of these boots, but I must return them. They are just not wide enough for my big runner's calves.

The details say these boots have a 17" calf. They don't come close to zipping over my 16.5" calf in the size 8 (with skinny jeans) while two other brands did zip with the same stated circumference.

Well, these will certainly fit wide calfs. But like most Fitzwells, the comfort pad irritates my foot, the cut of the foot is weird, and the shaft width is huge. The leather is not great quality, either, and sags immediately around my ankles. Cute boots, but I wish they were better quality and cut.

The only good (wicked irony) thing that I can say about these is that they did actually zip all the way up around my giant 17 inch calves, and without a flared top pirate look. However, I wanted to wear them out, not just play in the snow. They are backed by yucky 1970's poly and the shaft is a glued on wrinkly plastic hybrid material of some sort. The whole thing has a molded galoshes feel. My 70 year old mom would like them for utilitarian use but they scream discount store wanna-be. Cheap.
