The shoe is very stiff soled and supportive, with a very good insole. I had trouble because the tip slopes too fast, and was pinching my big toe nail, which hurts. I had to return it. I have very "bony" feet, very low volume, so perhaps my foot slid forward too much.

This had a very pretty design and was well crafted in all leather. I usually take 6.5 size; however, it was a bit too short and my toe it the front of the shoe. I exchanged it for a 7 but unfortunately it ended up being too large all the way around. The heel slipped off and the shoe felt the half size larger that I had ordered. I am not sure if the 6.5 was off in sizing or there is that much difference in their half sizes. Unfortunately I did not keep the 6.5 to compare to the 7. The toe box on this shoe is wide and not particularly attractive in terms of making the front of the foot rounded, but I was willing to exchange that for the cute design and great construction of the shoe.

I love the Ikebukuro. This is my second pair. The fit is perfect. The look is cool. The comfort is unbeatable. This shoe is pricey, but worth it.

I own several pairs of finn comfort ikebukuro. Best walking shoe ever. The fit runs true to size. I wear 7.5 women’s 10. I love the wide toe box and you never need to add additional inserts for extra support. Can’t go wrong buying Finns.

I bought a second pair of these shoes and sent my old pair in to be resoled. I was able to compare where the old pair had stretched to accommodate the anatomy of my feet. I have very high arches, wide feet, and bunions. I find these shoes very comfortable, easy to break in, and my feet bother me a lot less than they used to. They are my everyday shoes, and I work at getting 10,000 steps a day. Excellent quality.

I have lots of feet problems including severe neuropathy in one foot. These shoes are unquestionably the most comfortable shoes I've worn that are not open toe. They're supportive, have excellent arch support and don't cause my feet to hurt nearly as much as other shoes. The cost is not insignificant, but once you bite the bullet you won't regret it. My biggest issue is that most of the colors are not very fashionable. How about a patent snakeskin or something cute like that ??? :-)

I have been wearing Finn shoes for several years, their shoes are expensive but comfortable, long lasting, attractive, have excellent support, just a great shoe! Finn shoes are well worth the price!

These are the best shoe for people with severe foot problems. My daughter is a nurse and has had severe bone and ankle issues since birth and surgeries. She would not be able to be on her feet as much as she is without the support of these spectacular shoes. They are simply the best, and so thankful that Zappos carries such a great variety of colors to choose from. These are expensive, but when it is a matter of walking and working, with less pain....it is well worth it.

I have very hard to fit size 10N feet, no padding on the balls. My days of heels are over. But prayers have been answered with these! Even though I require narrow size, these Finns fit perfectly with great support. I have them in 3 colors now. Wear them with everything, slacks, jeans, skirts, dresses. Price matters not when you can find a shoe that is perfect for everything right out of the box!

I love the latest color of pale blue. Will look great for spring and summer. Also, great for jeans! There’s a pattern on the toe rather than the usual white toe. Love them!

I really wanted to like these shoes. The pattern was really cute but the shoes had the oddest position for an arch support. It was positioned in such a way as to really hurt my feet. I had to return the shoes. They were true to size and width, but oddly the arch support was awful.

Superb walking shoes - comfortable all day! I just returned from a walking vacation, all-day walking on cobbles and pavement. While not a fashion statement, the comfort and quality are definitely five stars.

These are my 3rd pair of Ikebukuros. My podiatrist first recommended a slight rocker bottom for my turf toe, and these fit the bill. They fit me so well that they’re the only pair of shoes I don’t have to put my orthotics into.

I am recovering from extensive foot surgery involving all my toes. My doctor advised me to get a shoe with a wide toe box. I was really disappointed in my choices for shoes, but then I found Finn Comfort Ikebukuro shoes. They fit well and have a comfortable footbed with plenty of rooms for my Frankenstein toes. They also aren’t as hideous as most of the orthopedic shoes I’ve seen. Yes, they are pricey, but it’s a lot less than paying for additional surgery.

I just received this shoe in Indigo. It is my fourth pair! This pair feels just like the Black Napa pair I bought last year. The upper is firmer than the Nubuck leather, but still comfortable on the first day of wear. Love the Indigo color with my Fall blue jeans. My foot is a little wide so these are perfect. They have enough space to avoid squeezing my feet at the big toe joint. The toe box is roomy! I’ll probably continue to add more colors to my collection, to wear for 3 out of 4 seasons. I try to wear these for every occasion to always be comfortable! They are very well made and hold up well.

Got these when I was having terrible plantars fasciitis pain. They took care of it. The styling is slightly “clown shoe” but it’s worth it not to have pain.

I did not want to like these shoes, because of the price and only being able to wear them on casual Fridays and weekends; but the olive and navy ones are cute and well made. Being a minimalist that only buys quality products, I just kept the olive ones. I love the wide toe box, which is the main reason I bought these. They make my feet look smaller (not that I care about that, but someone else might appreciate that characteristic of the shoe). I'm really happy with these sneakers.

I love this shoe, in all colors. It doesn’t come in W widths, my wide foot is comfortable in it, so worth a try. It seems a bit short, so I ordered two sizes and kept one. The red was sort of a screaming Holy Cow red, so I returned for a subtler color, though I loved the red. I love this brand, it’s my go-to and I wish Zappos carried more of the line and in various sizes.

I agree with other reviewers that this model runs small, so order up. Beautiful construction, comfort right out of the box due to the padding, and, they make your feet look small! I loved the red but for me, a neutral would work better. I’m waiting for the floral pattern to come back into stock.

This is just an initial review, not a long term wear test, but they’re impressive so far. They feel well made, and have excellent support for my high arches, unlike almost all other shoes. Aesthetically they’re, well, about as good as you can expect for an orthopedically correct, sneaker-like shoe. I got the silver color and it’s not terrible in my small-average size—maybe even borderline cute, in a geeky way. If you have longer feet or need a darker color, they can get clunky looking. I know this because the friend who turned me on to these shoes has a pair of black size 9, and they look like a serious orthopedic appliance. But secondhand from her, they are the most comfortable shoes she has ever owned—and she’s been wearing them for a year now. A note about fit: I agree completely with the other reviewers who say they run a half size short. I started with my usual 6.5, and had to return them for a 7.

Extremely comfortable shoe for walking. Only problem is that I felt like Frankenstein. The shoe is so clunky. I am looking for something sophisticated for a European trip. This was not it.

A godsend for my terrible feet. Perfect arch support, lots of room for my strange toes, and the best footbed ever in a closed shoe. I worried that the canvas-like material wouldn't hold up well, but I've worn them daily in all kinds of bad weather and they still look great. I bought pair #2 this summer because -- frankly -- I can't wear any other shoe!

I walk a great deal and have tried oodles and oodles of shoes to find one that fits just right without adding orthotics, pads, what have you. I had shied away from these due to the hefty price tag, but in despair, finally took the plunge. Now I am kicking myself for not having done so earlier - these are truly heaven sent. To think of all the co-pays to the podiatrist I could have saved. These are pricey, but they are also sturdy and will last a whole lot longer than the soft shoes i've been trying. These are really a superb shoe.
