Very light weight and comfortable. Love that I can get them in wide width. Air gets through which makes them nice and cool when running or walking.

The fabric only last for about 1 year before it begins to wear with holes in it. My old New Balance sneakers have been around for 5 years and except for the turned over sole, the fabric is still in great condition. I guess like cars, houses, clothes..."They don't make 'em like they used to." They used to be built to last.

The shoe itself was good, but the shoe strings were too short to even tie. Needed to use the shoes, so had to go out and buy new shoe strings. Guess this is what happens sometimes from buying on line versus going to the store and trying them on.

I am getting back to running and wanted to replace my favorite Asics GT-2080 (10 D) with a current model. The manufacturer said this was the updated version. No way. This shoe is a good 1/4" more narrow in the toe box than the 2080 and even the EE was more narrow. I had to return all sizes...even the men's D width 8.5 in the trail shoe -- it is also more narrow in the toe box than the 2080's.

In my opinion the new generation GT 2000 come up short. Literally. I have had 2000 for a long time and loved them. The first pair, although I ordered half size up. made my feet go numb to the point I couldn't use them. Being an Asics fan I ordered up another half size. These improved that problem. I don't feel that this new release in any way is as good as the original GT 2000 series. I guess it's hard to convince me newer is better.
I'd also recommend:
I'm a die hard Asics fan. These are the only sneakers I've ever worn.

Let me give you a brief background so you know my shoe expertise...I'm a bigger girl who hates running, because I'm a terrible runner! But I love the challenge and competing so I do it anyway. I get blisters like crazy because I'm a terrible overpronater. Every time I need new running shoes I always think, maybe I'll try a new pair this time that will work better, and every time I'm disappointed (but thanks Zappos for your return policy, love y'all!). Anyway, I read the reviews and thought I'd give this one a go. The inside of my feet had blisters on them after one mile in these puppies. I think walking they are fine, but big terrible over pronating runner like me? No way. I always end up going back to the Nike Air Pegasus. So I'll mark this pair off my very long list of tries, and fails.

I run about 3 miles a day and have consistently bought the same model of Asics for the past few years. I just keep getting the new version. For the first time, these are not a good fit. The inside heel/instep on my left foot is super painful and it feels like I am getting a bruise from the shoe. Too late to return them since I've worn them outside a few times but a real disappointment. I wish I had tried these on in the store.

I ordered these in both W and WW and neither fit. In fact, the WW seemed to squeeze tighter. I wore the WW on a walk but they made my feet hurt in a rather unusual spot - on the bottom on the outside of my foot (from my pinky toe to the start of my arch). I couldn't wait to get home and take them off! For W or WW shoes I've had luck with New Balance but I liked the style of these. Back to what I know I guess!

I liked the look, and shoe specs so I thought this would be a great fit...wrong! I normally wear a 9.5W, this shoe felt like a 9N. The heel and arch were especially narrow...the whole shoe choked my foot. Sending this back ASAP.

I have used Asics for years and my last shoe was also a GT-2000. I ordered the same size as my old shoe and am disappointed by how narrow it is around the ball of my foot. I have never needed to order a wide in any shoe before so I ordered the medium. I had to wear a thinner sock just to get my foot into the shoe. My foot is so squished I got blisters on the balls of both my feet after only 1 run. Very disappointed.

Runs too narrow, I'm a size 8 and even asking for a D-wide shoe it still didn't fit. Very disappointed. Seems like it would be a very nice shoe.

I only wear Asics, usually the GT-1000 or GT-2000. These shoes were a huge disappointment! The padding at the back of the heel (back of the shoe that touches back of your heel/ankle) started to wear down around week 3. I average 20-30 miles a week, and I've never had this issue with Asics GT series before. I normally order a new pair every 3 months or so, and with this pair, I might have to replace them before the 2 month mark. Very underwhelmed.

I like the look of these shoes and they are very comfortable. However, the deal breaker is that they are coming apart already. I just wear them as daily shoes (no running, etc.) and the sole is coming off on sides and now has started to peel on tip of toe. I have had the shoes for about 8 months (although the bottoms started coming off after only a couple months). I wouldn't buy them again based on this. Not sure if I would buy the brand in general for fear that they will come apart.

While I have a wide foot, I can generally fit into Asics regular with a slight squeeze. I ordered the extra wide hoping for more wiggle room but much to my dismay I couldn't get my foot into this shoe at all. It's closer to extra narrow than it is to extra wide.

I have wide-ish feet, but usually a medium shoe fits fine. I tried Asics medium, wide, and extra wide and all of them felt too narrow. what gives, Asics?

This is a very narrow fit. Feels like an M and I wear a WW. Disappointed in this shoe as I have purchased this brand before successfully. Maybe it was mislabeled. It is going back.

I have worn Asics GT-2000 for quite awhile. The Asics GT-2002 felt nothing like the GT-2000. They gave me horrible blisters on the inside soles and heels. I would not recommend these for people who are used to the GT-2000.
