Great shoe. Too big, and a little too stiff. I understand it is leather but it will take time to break these in.

Outstanding, well-made, good looking moc toe boot for daily wear. I tried on several boots before through zappos including the Redwing Moc Toe and Thorogood Moc Toe and found these to be the best in terms of comfort and quality. The leather on the cordovan color is excellent and hits the perfect balance in being rigid and supple at the same time. I know these will break in beautifully and can't wait until they are fully broken in. Runs about a half size large and feels like a true E width. You may pay a little more for this boot but when you put these on your feet you know you're going to have them for a lifetime.

These have been excellent boots. I had red wings and they killed my feet. These started out a bit narrow but broke in quite nicely and fit my feet perfectly. I have received tons of positive comments about how they look. I will get another pair for sure. So far no issues. Very high quality and USA made!

I bought these mainly as motorcycle boots and I'm very glad I did! Crashed my Harley a few days after I got them, and besides some scraped up knees, no damage done (the bike, not so much....) Definitely broke in my new boots! I got the Wolverines first and returned them, because they looked like Herman Munster boots in real life. The Chippewas in black are super stylish and have a lower profile. I wear a size 13 in everything and got a size 12 here. Fit perfect.

Well-made, very comfortable. Better than other brands work materials - such as Red Wing.

Excellent boot. Better than the Red Wing 1907 in my opinion, more stylish. I like that the toe box isn't as bulbous as the red wing. I am a 10 in Nike, I am a 9 in these Chippewas. Get them tight because this type of shoe will stretch a lot. Very comfortable. Zappos needs to fix the name so it's easier to search for. Currently it's spelled moc toe instead of moc toe. Hard to find.

I buy Chippewa boots for work and have always loved the quality and the fact that they are made in the U.S.A. When I needed a boot or shoe for the weekend I decided to see what Chippewa offered. I found the styling of these boots very eye appealing. The leather is a nice dark brown with a little hint of red highlighting. The leather is pretty supple right out of the box. I wore them all day after I received them and my feet felt fine. They do feel like they run a little large but with extra thick winter socks they were perfect. I love the contrast of the white stitching but wonder what it will look like after the first polishing.

I love these boots. I just got them today. Everyone raves about Red Wings which are great but I think the Chippewas look much finer. Both are hand made and go way back. The size is much smaller normal but I anticipated that and went with a 10. I usually wear an 11½ on average and prefer smaller boots. Maybe get two sizes and send one back? I highly recommend these. These were my first Chipps and certainly will not be my last.

Good pair of work boots for general wear and light projects. Compared to a number of other brands, I thought these were excellent quality. The boots were easy to break in, have decent arch support, and are reasonably stylish. They are at least a half size larger, and run wider than other brands. Other brands seemed a bit narrow to me, and I like some room in the toe box. The only complaint I have is that I can feel the arch seam on the bottom of my foot. I may get inserts because I'm a little "nootsy" about things like that. Overall great value for the money. I hope to have them for many years.

First off these are beautiful shoes with great leather, stitching and hardware. BUT the stiffness in the heel backing feels like a blister waiting to happen (not a millimeter of give). Add onto that that the laces need to be cinched up like a fat girl in a corset to avoid heel slip (seriously, the heel has the same waxy smooth leather INSIDE the heel bed but nowhere else inside). Who needs a shoe horn when you have one built I guess... Everything about actually wearing this boot rubs me the wrong way, literally.
