I got these for a 5-day festival in the woods and wore them the entire time. It was really muddy for the whole trip, but these definitely proved to be worth their salt. They are awesome in the mud and really do feel like a second skin. The mud was mid-shin deep at some points, and they stayed with my foot (as opposed to normal shoes that would start to pull off or away from your heel when stuck in the mud, creating blisters) They were constantly wet and muddy for the duration of the trip (they dry pretty quickly but due to the conditions i didnt give them much of a chance to) but oddly this didnt bother me in the slightest - most likely due to their breathability. And they really do "Keep stuff out" as their name indicates - despite the fact that i tromped through all that mud, pebbled/rooted trails, slippery rocks, streams, etc, they kept my feet safe and rub-free. This was my first pair of fivefingers and I def recommend trying on a few different styles, as I found that each fits a bit differently. You need to find the style that works best with the shape of your feet. They only thing i deducted a star for was for style, because honestly the general public just cant handle their awesomeness. I wore them to the coffee shop pre-camping trip, and the guy in line next to me literally jumped when he noticed me feet hahaha! He apologized for being startled by my footwear. Clearly he doesnt realize they are stealth and give your ninja-like abilities.

I love these! I have tired other vibrams, and these have fit me the best. I have very narrow feet so having the strap go around my heel helped it hold on to my foot better than others. I use them when I am paddle boarding in the lake. They let me really feel the board and not have to feel the slimy lake bottom.

I've worn these for 4 years, hiking on Alaska mountain trails. They have been great, but I'm going to get the TrekSport because they have more rugged soles. One of the only problems with this shoe is foot bruising if you step on a sharp rock. Other than that, they are comfortable, rugged, and are great for hiking. Love them.

I love these shoes! I got them because I wanted nice, durable shoes for hiking this summer and they're awesome. They definitely provide a different feel - they're supposed to strengthen the muscles in your feet and different muscles in your legs if you're very active with them and I can definitely feel that. It is like walking barefoot. Putting them on takes a minute just because of stretching out the top and adjusting your toes and the rim of the shoe around your ankle is important for the fit to be comfortable.

I love this. Perfect for beach and hiking.

I have a few pairs of Vibram Five Fingers and love them. I bought the KSO to use on lunchtime walks on a trail close to work, for their added protection for the sole of my feet. I have very high arches, and have found these Vibrams very difficult to get on, as the opening doesn't have much give. And because of my high arches, it fits tight around the back of my heel, so they gave me blisters the first time I wore them. I'm hoping with use they'll stretch out a bit, but going forward, unless it's a lace-up design, I'll be staying away from these 'glove'-type Vibrams. They also fit wider in the toes than my other Vibrams and I have feet that are on the narrow side, so it's tough to get my toes in the toe pockets why struggling to get my foot into them in general. I also own the Alitza [which I'm wearing now] and the SeeYA LS which is probably the most comfortable shoe I own, and my go-to for any non-trail activity. So it pains me to write a nothing-but-positive review, but I wanted to warn other ladies with high arches, since it's tough to return them after taking them out on a muddy trail. The construction and design, razored soles, etc., are the usual top-knotch quality you'd expect from Vibram, so I would imagine most people with average arches and feet width would love them.

I bought these for my son who had been begging for them for a while...he loves them and wears them everywhere, beach especially. He states they are very comfortable,and they easily rinse clean and dry fast. I am seriously considering buying some for myself, I think they are pretty cool.

Purchased for my daughter who has started competing in powerlifting. Has had two meets 3 weeks apart. Increased deadlift 40 lbs. the second meet with these shoes.

I ordered these "by accident" they weren't the style I was expecting. But it was after I clicked "submit" that I realized it. So I thought, I'll try them. Got my toes in fine, but could NOT get my foot in. The opening is just tooo tight.

Love the shoe, but a little hard to get on. I'm flat foot with no arch so these Vibram are perfect for me. The only problem is I did a lot of walking in them and walked a hole in the bottom of the feet part. And I only had them for 6 months.

These were comfortable on my bunion. But I have a high instep on my right foot. This fivefingers has a strap that goes around the Achilles tendon and then velcro closure on top. Due to my high instep it pulled the strap too tight on my Achilles. This style did not work for my foot type.

I have been searching for a pair of Vibram Fivefingers. These run small, also, the are very hot on my feet.

at least 2-3 sizes smaller. the opening for the foot is impossible.

I really can't comment on much about the shoes, because I couldn't get them on my feet. I read and followed the instructions for how to put them on, but I couldn't push them on far enough to be able to grab the tab and pull them on the rest of the way. All I can guess is that they run a full size too small.

I could not get this shoe on my foot.

Unfortunately, I returned this shoe. I have tried other styles in this type of shoe and they are extremely comfortable. This shoe is just as comfortable, but almost impossible to get on because of the way this particular style is constructed.
