After reading the reviews, I bought one size up. ( I normally wear a 45 and ordered a 46). This was a big mistake. After two 4 mile runs, I realized that the shoes weren't comfortable because they were too big. A bit saggy in the toes and the little toe never fit in place. They are more like socks than running shoes, so they should fit more tightly. So I advise buying your true size. After contacting Zappos and explaining the situation, they immediately sent me the proper size and accepted my worn shoes without any problems. Thank you Zappos for the great customer service. My new shoes fit great, are super comfortable and are easy to get on. I recommend them!!

Bought these mainly for use in kayaking and for a paddle board. Once I got them on my feet they felt like a second skin. However, getting them on takes a little longer than I wanted. Could be that I have strange feet where some of my toes (mainly my pinky toe) likes to hug its neighbor. Getting them to all go in their own little finger "hut" takes some patience.

The size listed was M39. These are much smaller than what I normally wear as a Men's US 9. Once I got my toes in (the pinky toe felt pinched) I couldn't get the shoe past my heels on either foot. Returning for next size up if available. In the past 10 years, I've gone up from a 8.5 to a 9 so, I'm usually in a loose-ish 9 shoe.

I don't like the Vibram shoes that have the strap over the arch because they're so hard to get into, but once you wrestle your foot into them, they're great and are excellent for any watersports

This is my second pair of Vibram Five Fingers. My original pair are still good, but I felt it was time for a newer pair. Fit and quality are just as good or better. Can’t wait to break them in on the martial arts mat.

In other European size shoes I wear a 44, but with Vibram 5fingers I need a 45. I've been wearing KSOs for probably about 8 years; I appreciate consistency of style--these are pretty much like my old ones, just a bit more minimal looking.

Our feet are the result of walking upright for the last 100,000 years. For 99.9% of that time we were bare foot. Shoes are recent and until the mid-1800s there was no right or left. Since that time most shoes have harmed rather than helped feet. Heels are not natural. Squeezing toes together is not natural. Women's shoes are even worse. These Vibram shoes (and the Classic style) return your feet to their natural orientation – no heel, no arch “support” and toes separate and straight. If years of shoes has made your little toe making love to its neighbor you may find these shoes a bit difficult to put on. The lack of a heel may feel strange. If so, give them time. They are better than bare feet because they provide a thin protective layer on the bottom and encourage your toes to return to their natural orientation. Bare feet, sandals or flip-flops do not do this. I have lived almost 70 years in the tropics, mostly hating shoes and with bare feet. I did not think anything would be better but these shoes are.

YOU WANT TO BE COMFORTABLE WHEN PEOPLE SAY TO YOU I LOVE YOUR SHOES CAN I SEE THEM & YOUR TOES LOOK ALL SCRUNCHED UP.....NOT GOOD. SO AGAIN PLS GO A SIZE UP THEY RUN SMALL. GORGEOUS & VERY COMFORTABLE SHOES. ENJOY.....

Good fit The strap is in a perfect location. It gives an easily adjustable snug fit. It works much better than shoelaces for this shoe. These shoes let your toes spread out. There is no arch support provided by the shoes. The shoes enable your feet to function naturally and correctly without needing arch supports.

keeps feet cool . It's like walking barefooted with added protection for NYC unforgiving streets . You feel every thing which forces , you to go from a unnatural Heel strike to a more natural forefoot strike . Which at first feels weird and hurts your feet and calves . After a few times of wearing , your foot muscles and tendons start to grow and get stronger . You start to feel less pain in the knees hips lower back . Is it wise to wear one day for the first week . Two days spread out throughout the second week . Three days spread out on the third week until your feet and legs get stronger to wear everyday .Is best to let soak with Epsom salt and peppermint soap overnight and let air-dry or propped up against a box fan , not in direct sunlight .

I have a wider, flatter foot and I have trouble finding running shoes that don't wear out on the sides quickly. I bought a pair of these five years ago and they just started wearing down so I'm purchasing another pair. I wouldn't run in any other shoe.

These were a gift for my boyfriend. We ordered the size 40 as recommended for his size 9 foot. However, he thought they were a bit small exchanged for a 41. To him, the 41 is perfect!

I bought these to wear when doing yoga, but I love them to just run around the house, wearing them instead of going bare foot. They offer a perfect blend of support and comfort. Really great shoes.

Great shoe, it really trains your body to run with proper form naturally. You can use this for all purposes whether it's athletic, or just casual wear. I bought the size that was according to Vibram's size chart, and although it is a snug fit, in the future I would buy a size bigger for comfort.

Bought these as I'm a teacher and on my feet all day. These are extremely comfortable fly under the radar for the most part (eighth graders are easily distracted) I don't run much, but use them for all types of activities including a night on the town, when my band gigs etc. etc. Great looking and comfortable. Have them in black and brown.

I have had a pair of KSO's for like 2 years. They are amazing. I go on a 4 to 5 mile run twice a week and they are perfect. You get some funny stares, but whatever. The KSOs are also great for powerlifting. All in all I wear them every day and they have held up amazingly. I've had them for a while and I am 100% certain I will be buying a new pair when mine are totally destroyed.

I've been wearing FiveFingers for 10+ years. The new ones are definitely small. I'm an 8.5 shoe size but the size 41 (8.5-9) is quite snug. Unfortunately, the 42 (9-9.5, allegedly) was just as tight, just longer (toes too long). So I'm stuck with a shoe that fits okay but is definitely tighter than I like. I've had this problem before, but the very first pairs I bought ten years ago, and another pair I got probably 7 years ago were more true to size and fit me better. Hopefully, these will stretch over time and be less snug.

this is great for a Fivefingers starter the only one better is the v-trek i have 2 pairs of this and v-trek for when i wash one and a pair 0f the aqua for pools or the beach

Very good and very comfortable, but I think you can use it for running only on the grass. I tried to use it for running on the street for 6 miles but I felt so much pain in my knee, because there was no absorption for collision on the ground.

I was new to wearing the Vibram KSO's but not new to the brand. I bought them @ the suggestion of my Dr. after ankle Surgery. He suggested they would allow my foot to go back to a more natural position. It's been a month and my feet feel fine. I wore them around the house and out side for the first 4 weeks then finally took them for a spin on a Dog walk in the park over grass, mulch and asphalt. They were comfortable, except for one spot that rubs on my big toe. But that's more me than the shoe. I'm not a runner, so I can't say how they fee running, but walking, over different outdoor surfaces... they were fine. Ordering a 2nd pair.
