Very flexible (packable) rubber but due to the lightweight nature of the upper it would slouch and get baggy around the ankle; I think it would be much better if the ankle were narrower which would also make them easier for walking in. My biggest complaint is that the band at the top is narrower than the boot shaft itself (in an effort to make sure the boots don't slide down; I'm sure) but then makes a strange silhouette and would make it difficult to put over your jeans without getting a lumpy effect. Your calf looks like it's encased in a sausage with an elastic band holding it up at the top. Cute color (red) and definitely a great boot if you just need to keep your feet dry while traveling but not something I would wear in the rain in my home town; I'd prefer something a little more substantial and stylish.

A lightweight boot is what I wanted... not clunky to walk in so these are perfect for me. The sole is extremely flexible but lacking in support. I wouldn't recommend these for women w/large caves or who need a comfy sole. The slightly elastic top may be uncomfortable with extended wear. These are cute and simple.

They are exactly as described. Flexible and very comfy. Will be very easy to pull over jeans, leggings, etc. Since I will be walking around a lot in these (Scotland trip) I may purchase some nice gel inserts to help with endurance. All around attractive boot.

I wish these boots fit me! My somewhat wide feet fit in them fine, but I could barely fit my calves in them. There's no way I would ever be able to wear these even with tights on. Bummer! I'm returning them, but wish I didn't have to since they're cute and I like how you can fold them to pack them.

I found these rainboots to be lightweight and roomy enough to comfortably fit the arch supports I put in them. I've got a narrow size 7.5 foot so I bought size 8 and it fits perfectly without buckling on top of my foot. I've also got a narrow calf and what's great is my leg doesn't swim in the shank like it does in most rainboots that are sized to fit larger calves and/or tucking in jeans and yet I've still got room to tuck in my pants if need be. When I'm done wearing them, they roll up and snuggly fit into their bag for storage. I love these boots!

I've been needing rain boots. I've gotten the inexpensive kind you buy at the grocery store in the past, and they work but never really are as comfortable as they could be. My kids have been telling me to get Hunter boots. However, while the little kid Hunters have flat and flexible soles, the adult version has a more structured sole and heel. I've come to really like zero drop, minimalist footwear. I prefer a flexible sole that lets me feel the terrain under my feet. So I'm trying out these... haven't given them the walking through the muck test yet, but they are quite comfortable in my living room. Enough room for my toes and still secure on my feet. The foot-bed is bendy and thin enough to feel the ground through them. They do have padding, and a nice insole inside. But they are better for people who don't want a lot of support, but want to be able to feel the ground a little bit. It makes me feel more sure footed when walking on slippery or uneven terrain to be able to feel what's happening a little bit, instead of having a stiff heavy shoe. I got the bright yellow, and I think they are cute. Not as stylish as a Hunter, but nice enough to walk around town without looking like you just came in from mucking the stable. For a travel boot, or someone who likes the feel of minimalist footwear, these are perfect.

These boots are exactly what I've been searching for for the past few months. I am a Lems wearer. Lems are super lightweight, natural foot shape shoes that are super comfortable but get absolutely soaked in the rain. I needed rain boots bad. My old rain boots squished my toes and made me miserable. These boots have a super wide toe area. No squished toes with these boots except I did order a full size up, thanks to the advice of some reviewers. They are lightweight, super flexible, and I can actually stretch my toes out all the way while wearing them just like I can in my Lems! This is seriously a dream come true.

Very good boot. Not clunky, easy to walk in. Comfortable with thick sock. Unobtrusive, especially in the grey color. Folding for packing is a bonus.

Boot works well. Was in the rain and mud for a whole day and my feet were dry and clean. I bought these because they had a wide mouth for your calf. They just barely fit in that area on me. Would recommend them overall.

I love Zappos. I was going to use these boots as garden boots but the top on the calf rubbed a bit on bare skin when bending over a lot working in the soil. They would be great as rain boots through - however I live in the desert!

My 10 year old daughter loves these! They're soft and fold down compact, but the are also comfortable and look good on. She is waiting for a rainy day!

I just bought these for a trip to Ireland (in December). I needed something packable and waterproof and these look like they're going to fit the bill. I do like some arch support since I do a lot of sightseeing when I travel, so I put in my orthotics. I want to wear them with winter weight socks, so based on reviews I ordered the next size up (they didn't offer half-size options). Was I glad I did, because although I wear a 7M I needed the 8. Wondering if that was due to the addition of the orthotics, which conceivably could change the fit, I compared these boots sole-against-sole with my 7M Merrell Jungle Moc's and the Baffin size 8's were exactly the same size and shape as my Merrell's in a 7M. FYI: There was no packable bag with one pair (obviously an oversight) - it pays to shop early - I wouldn't have had time to do an exchange. Unless I update this review when I get back because they didn't work out, then they performed well for me and I'd recommend them. Thanks Zappos for getting these to me quickly as usual!

This is a MUST purchase if you're planning a trip to Venice or some other destination where it might be rainy. My boots arrived 2 hours before we were to leave -- Thanks, Zappo's! I stuck in some inserts and some wool socks and I put them on when we arrived in Venice. They were perfect for the rain and high water we experienced for the next few days. The boots are lightweight, a good fit over skinny jeans, cute color. The pack bag is great and easy to stick in your carry-on. I'm planning to wear them here at home on rainy days too. Note: if you have ample calves,order early to be sure they will work for you.

I bought these to wear on a trip to Venice in the high water season, and they were perfect. Not only did they work in Venice's flooded streets, I ended up wearing them for hours on other days when it just rained a little, because when they were paired with warm knee socks, they were more comfortable than my other boots! I've worn them a ton since then and I still love them. I like that because they roll up and are super light that I can carry them with me if it's going to rain later and I don't have to wear them all day.

Very comfortable and they truly pack right up with no wrestling or hassle. A great thing to keep in the car or for travel!

I bought a pair in yellow. I love the color, love that its easy to pack and keeps my feet completely dry. I will wear it even when I am not traveling.

I loved these boots but they were just too small. I wear a true size 11/42 and these are really 11/41. If the company starts making larger sizes, I'll be back. I liked the look, the minimalist feel, the lightness, and the packability. The grey color was more grey and less white than it looked in the pictures, which was a plus for me.

Bought these for my daughter who will be traveling to Ireland! She was thrilled with them. I consider her calf size as "normal" and they were not tight at all. They aren't as tall as I thought they would be but will be perfect for travel since they are packable!

These boots were ok comfort wise but my friend said that they looked liked Santa's boots, and they do. They were a little taller than I wanted. I settled on the Kamik Heidi and they are a good height. I am 4' 11" with only 10 inches between my ankle and under my knee. Plus the Kamik is just as "packable" but without the bag.

These boots were beautiful but it was impossible to get the foot thought the bottom part of the shaft. My daughter tried 2 sizes but none worked. Had to return.

If you want something inexpensive and lightweight, this is the boot for you, but I found it much less comfortable than the Hunter boots.

The boots fit well, but looked terrible. I loved the idea of a packable boot, but the rubber was so flimsy it looks saggy and wrinkly. I returned them.

I ended up returning these because i was going to use them for travel but they were way too heavy and didn't fold down as much as i thought they would.

These look very nice but they were not comfortable. Fabric liner is very rough & scratchy. The overall width was ok until the banding around the top, was very binding & constrictive. Must return.

Not arch support; therefore, I will be returning. The boots do roll up into a pouch, but are heavier than I expected (weight is probably needed so they stay up).
