The brown leather is really nice with subtle mix of tones. The black leather seems cheaper. The heel is too high, a little awkward walking in them. It is an all rubber heel with good traction. The brown one has a fake leather wrap around the heel that has started to chip away on mine. They have held up fairly well, I have had them over a year. They tun true to size, but a little narrow.

Cole Haan shoe features a Nike interior. It is quite obvious that Nike's finger prints are all over the inside of this shose. Gone are the days of a genuine Cole Haan interior of soft leather, removable footbed, and impressive stitching. All replaced by molded plastics and foam. Oh well, it was a great ride when you made great shoes. It is not to say that these are not good shoes, because they are, I just prefer great shoes.

I love this shoe, but it falls apart. I wear them to work pretty much every day and it doesn't hold up. I have bought 3 pairs in the past 8 months. When the price is under $70 its worth it, but it sometimes goes all the way up in the 90s.

Felt a little tight. Width did not feel true to size. Order up.

I bought 3 pairs of these in Mar 2018. I love the style / look. Fit is great. I’ve gone through all 3 though as the leather on the heel scuffs too easily. Wish it were higher quality leather. Won’t buy again

My son always wears 7.5 in dress shoe but he said these fit him way too tight and small. He loved the shoe and said it felt like it is comfortable but had to return and ordered a bigger size. Hopefully those fit.

Great looking shoe and works with just about anything from dressy to casual. They run a bit small and are tight in the toe and heel. Thought they might loosen up after a wear or two, but haven't. Order in a larger size and width.

Comfort and style is great. I have had several pairs of these shoes. The reason I gave a 3-star review for the overall is that, though they are comfortable and stylish, they wear out pretty quickly with daily use and my last pair developed the dreaded squeaking that is mentioned in other reviews. It sounded like I was walking on squeaky toys around the office (on both sides). The squeak started occurring pretty early on, so I would say I put up with it for half of the life of the shoes. I bought the Feathercraft Grand Venetian Loafer this time around instead. So far so good, though they aren't quite as pointed as these. As a first impression, the Feathercraft shoes seem to be better quality leather and constructed more durably. Time will tell. But, I didn't want to drop another $100+ on squeaky shoes.

I bought these Lenox Hill Venetians ten months ago and they've been my favorite pair of business casual shoes ever since -- I really like the look and feel of them! The reason for only three stars? I'm sorry to say that after nine months, one shoe squeaks every time I step down and that's not acceptable. I just noticed that a few other reviewers had the same problem, so evidently it's a design issue that shows up for some people, but not others.

Love the look of the shoes, but the middle of the shoe is far too tight, and the heel is a little loose, leading to an achy foot and a chaffed heel after one day.

I bought this shoe before, every time you buy one it fits different, they are not consistent with their size every pair the same size fits different, but it is very well made shoe for the money.

Immediately developed a large wrinkle across the right foot.

Disappointing bc I really like the style of this shoe. Very narrow fit as others have stated. Sizing is just off. Tried several sizes in the medium width which was way too narrow and then tried the wide width which I'm not and the wide width was way too wide. Cole Hahn needs to do a better job their sizing.

Too tight!

Overall the shoe had a very comfortable fit but I found the heel to be very high which madde walking awkward. My shoe repair guy fixed it and now I have a very nice pair of shoes.

I've owned over a dozen Cole Haan's over the years and these were my most disappointing purchase. If you're looking for comfort, these are the shoes. Soft leather, easy to break in. However, this is a squeaky shoe. It has a rubber sole with a high gloss finish and if you walk on tile, or marble floors, it's embarrassing. These shoes draw attention for the wrong reason. I thought after I broke the soles in it would stop, but the squeaking continues. Now it's the leather from the shoe. The leather is so soft that it makes noises with each step. Not a good choice and I wish I would have sent them back. If you buy these, add some ear plugs to your cart.

Returned... way too narrow

This is a follow-up review. I have owned this shoe for about seven months. This shoe is very narrow and uncomfortable. I have never had this issue with a dress shoe. I exchanged the first pair since these run about a half size larger (long length, narrow width). I now have a squeak in the left shoe. I took it to a shoe repair shop and they said that they could do nothing with it since they do not carry soles that fit Cole Haan shoes. They also informed me that someone else had come to their shop earlier that day with the exact same shoe and the exact same problem. I didn't believe the person helping me until he repeated this again when I was on my way out. He confirmed that he was serious. Although these comments are difficult to imagine, or verify, I am certain that the problems that I have had with this shoe are unacceptable.

These shoes are unwearable.They are so rigid you can't walk in them.

Suggest you NOT buy this shoe. Uncomfortable. Stretched 1/2 size after 1 wearing. Just say no to this shoe.

The 9 1/2 is way too big. The 9 is way too small. Nice looking shoes but who do they fit?

Looked good, but started to squeak within a month. The left shoe squeaks so much that walking around the office is awkward. The shoes announce me coming and people look up at me as I squeak by. Totally unacceptable and embarrassing. Makes the shoes unwearable.
