This is my first pair of Blundstones, and I lucked out on sizing on the first try. I consistently wear a US women's size 10/European size 41, and the size 7 fits me perfectly when wearing mid-weight socks (I can still wear them with heavy socks, but they're more snug than I like). I have rather wide feet, and these boots have plenty of room. They are very stiff at first, and did require a little bit of breaking in. Straight out of the box I wore them to an all-day punk festival and did experience some minor discomfort due to the stiff leather creasing across my foot at the base of the toe box, but they softened up after a couple more extended wearings, and this is no longer a problem. And the boots did save my toes from getting crushed in the pit, which is kind of nice when you're an old punk and things don't heal as fast as they used to. They've become my new fave winter boots, and are great when I volunteer working with animals and have slippery wet floors, uneven terrain, and sometimes overly-enthusiastic creatures to deal with. They fit the bill for sturdy, waterproof boots nicely. I've been wearing them frequently for two months, and am sold on them; I ordered two more pairs (brown with the burnt orange gussets, and black with the red gussets and soles) to give myself some variety. The brown on these particular boots is very dark--espresso or dark chocolate brown, getting close to black. The olive green of the gussets is more of a moss color--not drab or brownish, and a bit brighter than I expected, but still a nice, unexpected color that doesn't draw too much attention to itself. I've had several compliments on these boots from both men and women, including Blunnies fans as well as people who have never heard of them, but just like my boots.

There's a lot to love about these boots. My only problem is the lack of ease in putting them on and taking them off. If I can master that after finding some advice, I'll happily keep them.

My husband bought a pair a few years ago and finally I broke down and bought a pair. Stylish yet rugged and functional. I wear them around the barn but also out to casual dinners.

My hubby has extra wide EE feet and it is just about impossible to find shoes that fit him. Sadly, he often buys inexpensive shoes that he can "make" fit. Well, that was until I got him a pair of Blundies for Christmas. He said they're a little hard to get on, but once on they felt incredibly comfortable from the very first time he wore them. He would not lie, nor hesitate to refuse to wear something he doesn't like! Blundstones have a wide variety of style numbers for what appear to be basically the same shoe. The key is to find a chart of Blundstone boot styles and their corresponding widths and toebox shapes to help you find the style that’s right for you (just google "Blundstone style guide"). I did this and WE couldn't be happier.

My husband LOVES these boots!

These have quickly become my favorite pair of daily footwear. They are sturdy without feeling clunky, and easily handle mud and rain. The elastic gusseting gives a very nice feeling of ankle support without feeling constricting. I've worn them to work, to the dog park, on a hike, and as an everyday shoe. They are stylish, versatile, comfortable, and overall a fantastic choice. Looking forward to adding to my Blundstone collection! Love these boots. Worth every penny.

I have another pair of these boots that are 8 years old. They are still in decent shape but look bad....so bought myself a new pair. I have just worn them once but they fit well, seem sturdy and I still love the style. They are expensive but if this pair lasts for 8 years...and I wear them pretty hard in snow, ice and mud of New Hampshire.....then what a bargain!

Great knockabout shoes. At first, felt a little tight over the bridge of my foot, but that broke in well after only a couple of wears. Color of the boot is darker brown in person, as compared to the picture. Certainly not an issue. I look forward to beating these up!

Arch support has improved over the years. Still need time to break them in. Perfect shoes for EVERYTHING.

These are a very strong pair of boots. The leather is a very dark brown, which I like. They run a little narrow. I bought a 9.5, my regular size, they fit perfectly in length but they fill slightly tight in width. I'm not sure I would order the size up. I'm hoping they will break in. Overall I am very happy with the boots.

These boots are amazing. I am an interior designer, and am often on construction sites. I can wear these boots with pretty much any outfit and feel comfortable and stylish. I can also wear them in the mountains in rain and snow-LOVE them!

If you're going to wear them with thick socks, such as wool, get them in your regular size. They seem a half-size larger; and I have a wide foot.

I bought these for my husband. They function great for our pedestrian lifestyle through winter, spring, and fall. His pair is true to size and the leather is nice and soft. They are very handsome.

I have been wearing these boots forever and never had a problem with crumbling soles. Maybe you people do not wear them enough.

This is the second time that I am returning these shoes. You should state that they are a full size small smaller. They must have changed their sizing because I have several pairs of these boots in the past and they fit true to size. They have changed.

Second pair of Blundstones and zero complaints. My four-year-olds are still kicking; just wanted another color option. Beautiful, sturdy shoes, on which I get lots of compliments. Blundstone does not disappoint! And neither does Zappos! Great customer service is a true rarity these days.

I have been thinking about these for years, but have always been very happy with my Keen boots. I've had several pair over the years, but now it is time to replace them and so I took the plunge. I love them! They are so comfortable it is like I am not wearing anything at all. They are a little difficult to get on, but that is only because the are stiff. I think with time that will improve.

I will never buy another pair of Blundstone boots unless they correct the problems defects with the crumbling soles. The soles literally crumbled beneath my feet. There were pieces breaking off and thought perhaps it was just a defect with my pair however I read numerous reviews on other sites the same compliant crumbling soles. What a shame as these were comfortable and nice looking boots.
