Customer Reviews Dr. Martens Drench 8-Eye Boot

A great choice for anyone who walks in the rain but doesn't like the look of typical rain boots. They fit differently than regular Doc Martens. I always order a size down for leather Docs, but for these rubberized ones I kept my true size based on other reviews, and I find them to be a great fit. They do have some weight to them, but nothing too severe. The first time I wore them I walked a mile in NYC and know these will continue to serve me well.

Pros: - Really did keep all the water out! - Has much more structure and stability than most rainboots! - The soft, fleece lined removable insole is a great feature which adds comfort - Nice grippy soles for walking. - Overall, a much more substantial and sturdy boot for rainy weather! And look so much better than other rain boots - I'll definitely wear them when its not raining! Cons: - Even lacing then as tight as possible, there is still a bit of a gap between my leg and the boot so water can get in unless you have big socks on that you roll over the top of the boot - Unfortunately for me, I have trouble with all Dr. Martens when it comes to fit (I really do need a narrow and am in between sizes - I so wish they made 1/2 sizes! I'm either in a pair that are a bit too short and give me sore spots or a pair that seems way too big overall). But I love Dr. Martens styles and durability and will continue to buy them!

These boots are perfect for rainy days and the winter! They are water-proof, so you can slosh around in any puddle! I loved these boots so much, they have a great style and are very comfortable! I would recommend these to anyone, boy or girl!

I bought this for my boyfriend's valentine day's present! Really nice design and fast delivery even that busy season! Men usually wear one smaller size for the boots but this model he wears his usual size. Maybe it is made by rubber. Also Zappos helped me so well when I asked to change the size and sent the products right after that day! That was super nice!

Awesome shoe! Only complaint is how narrow it is. I don't feel I have a super wide foot but it is tight. Other than that these shoes are awesome.

These are stylish Doc Marten's, but that's about it. My husband's feet froze in these, and they started to fall apart soon after getting them. The pull loop on the back detached completely, and then one of the grommets pulled out as he was lacing them up and the rubber tore. And these are supposed to be 100% waterproof, and his feet got wet after a trek in the snow! I would only get these if you are very gentle on shoes and don't plan on wearing them in the snow. Luckily, Zappos hooked us up with a refund!
