I wore these boots in the pouring rain. They ARE waterproof BUT these boots are DANGEROUSLY SLIPPERY UNDERFOOT WHEN WET. They ARE cute, so I'll keep them to wear on dry land!

Baby Bear's Bed of Boots! I am 40 year old mom of a 1 year old that lives in Portland, OR. It's wet here 90% of the Fall and Winter and I was looking for rain boot substitute. Something with better stability (have had an ACL replacement), support and style than just a rain boot; and more weather resistance than a fashion boot. I am often hauling my toddler in and out of wet places and can't afford to take a tumble. I feel very secure in these. Fitted feeling around the arch (the outer strap is adjustable). Leather feels soft and broken-in right out of the box. I wear a 10.5 but got an 11 to accommodate socks, and it was the right call. I have a wide calf, and this fits perfectly. Plus they're cute on your feet. Thanks for hitting it out of the park on this one Merrell!

This boot is a good choice for a minimalist. Good sole, no heal. Has a barefoot feel to it. It is cute without getting in the way of being functional. However, I feel this boot ran small for Merrell. I have 10 1/2 and 11s in different Merrells - the size 11 in this boot was tight, both in length and width with just an average sock on, no boot socks. I have average width feet. Shaft is not too big, wouldn't zip up the whole way on my larger calves.

These boots look great, but unfortunately they fit strangely on my feet. Too tight across the arch, loose at heel, floppy at the top. They just didn't work, too bad I really liked the look.

These are great boots if you do not have wide feet or rather toes. For some reason my little toes felt really jammed in these. I am returning them but really wish I did not have to. They are super cute, waterproof and not too tight on the calves.

Love these boots! Spent a week in NYC walking through puddles and slush. Feet stayed dry, warm and comfy!

Love these boots! I took the advice of other reviewers and ordered a half size up and they fit perfectly with socks. I wore them everyday on a February trip to Kyoto. They kept my feet warm, dry and comfortable. They're also super cute and go with everything.

I ordered the next size up due to the review of others. Usually I wear a 9 1/5, ordered a 10. At first they seemed really narrow, then I felt inside and realized that there was a cardboard piece across the top of the foot. Once I removed that, the boot was great. They are lightweight, warm and easy on my feet. A wonderful, minimalist boot.

I had bought these boots last winter and when I started wearing them this year I noticed they were giving me a blister due to the lining ripping inside one of them. I chatted with one of the customer representatives online and I really did love the boots and they sent me a brand new pair. I received them two days later, I love this company!

Terrific boots! Good minimalist construction. Comfortable, lightweight but warm enough for average Midwest winter days. Soles provide good traction and they keep my feet dry. They look great with jeans but also work with slacks. Would definitely recommend.

I received these boots 4 days ago and in those 4 days I have hiked in the mountains, ran around in 6 inches of snow for hours and ran errands. I never want to take them off. They are so warm and comfortable and they always look good. Best boot purchase I have ever made. I highly recommend them!

These boots are amazingly comfortable and beautiful. As many reviews point out, it is hard to get your foot into the bottom of the boot even with the zipper all the way down. The boot has a very sculpted ankle area and due to this it makes the bottom of the shaft area very slim. Once you get your foot in though it is very roomy and break in time was short. I am a member of the big calf club and they were snug for the first week or two but quickly loosened up. I'll never fit more than leggings into them, but that's okay. They look great with leggings, skirts and jeans. I ordered my regular size (9.5) and even though I have wide feet they broke in quickly. Love!

Great boots! I waited a year to buy them and don't know why! They are very comfortable and go with just about everything. I like the sporty look of them and have gotten a lot of compliments on them already.

I agree with the reviewer who said these are a good minimalist option. I'm a Vibrams gal whenever possible but live in a rainy part of the world and need boots. These have been great so far.

Love these boots. I have worn them in the snow all day in Colorado and in the rain in Georgia. They fit to true to size and have good support in the arch and heel. Tough enough for any weather and lighter weight than standard rain boots.

These boots are comfortable, water proof and great looking. However, I did have to size up a half size. For me Merrell shoes are comfortable right out of the box - never a breaking in period.

Love these boots. They look great under jeans. Comfortable with room for my custom orthotics. I ordered them a half-size larger (8.5), because of reviews that they run small. I had to exchange them for my regular 8 because they were too big. The only Con is the gusset at the top rubbed my leg raw, after a few hours of wearing them. They're too snug to tuck my jeans in and I don't wear long socks. I'll either wear a bandaid in that spot, to stop the rubbing or I'll figure out a way to soften/fix the gusset stitching.

These boots are very cute. They have a nice rugged sole without looking too clunky. Great with jeans or leggings. I thought the straps around the ankle and calf might tighten the boot. I did try but it really made no difference. I wear a size 10.5 and have slender calves. Many boots look ridiculously huge around them. These boots are not as snug as I would like, however they look good.

I really like these boots. They are warm and waterproof. At first I didn't think I could get them zipped over my jeans but after a few wears it's been no problem. They come to my mid calf which was shorter than I expected but I was happy about it in the end. I get lots of compliments on these boots.

I love Merrell boots! I have 3 pairs but this one has to go back. I have very narrow feet and normal arches but could barely get my foot down into the bed. Once I did, there was plenty of room, so going up a size was not an option. It is a strange design flaw for Merrell and the legs are much wider than on my others.

Love these boots! So very comfortable and I get compliments on them every time I wear them. Making the most of the "cold" snap here in Texas, so I get maximum wear out of them before it's flip flops for months on end. Don't hesitate if you're looking for a waterproof, comfortable, somewhat warm, calf length boot. I did go up half a size larger than my usual show size.

I bought the Lakota boots from amazon & they were too big, so I decided to go with these boots half size smaller, 81/2. So disappointed when I got them! My foot wouldn't even go down in them! Ugg....I finally got the right one on & it felt fine, but no way was the left one going on! Thought if I could get them on, they would stretch out, but these will be going back too! I guess all Old Gringos run different! So.....now I'm thinking of trying the Razz, but not sure what size! :(

I bought these about a week ago and I love them! I had to exchange for a full size smaller because they run large. I specifically bought these because they have removable insoles which are orthotic friendly. I also bought them because of the super extra grip traction on the soles. Winter will be here soon and I feel confident about the non-slip capabilities of these babies. The boots are very cute, like utilitarian rain boots. They are well made and comfortable.

This is the first time I've had to size down from 6.5 to 6 in a Merrell boot. I have two others in 6.5 But they are super cute and, as always with Merrell, comfy. They hit pretty low on the calf, and are a little tighter on my calf than the typical boot. I haven't tested them in the Seattle rain yet, but I think they'll hold up nicely.
