Nice shoe, runs large and will stretch. It's kinda tight in the tip...got a blister on my small toe. Overall still a good shoe.

These are nice boots and I like them. They're a bit sloshy in the fit, hence 4 stars. (I am comparing them to the Merrell Sight which provide a truly fabulous fit.) I bought these to have an weekday alternate to the Sight that looked a little less, shall we say, rugged. Overall I am pretty happy. And Zappos, as usual, provided great service.

I have always been a fan of Merrell shoes, and these are no disappointment. I love the way they look and offer a lot of support: I'm usually very picky. If I had one complaint it would be that I feel like I have to be very careful with them because they're so expensive. I've never paid this much for a pair of shoes, so I need to take care of them.

The shoes are great. The fit well and are quite comfortable. As mentioned in other reviews. The laces seem to be poor quality which is unfortunate for otherwise a great shoe. Hopefully Merrell will address this.

I have been a long time Merrel fan for hiking boots but had not tried their casual shoes. These shoes are comfortable and well made but felt half a size bigger than many of the other Merrels that I have worn. They are a bit conservative for my tastes but extremely comfortable. Unfortunately I convinced myself that the slightly big shoe would work, but it really has not. I should have exchanged for a slightly smaller size.

Great boot. if you vary by a half size depending on the brand (as I do) go smaller. I'm a 10-10.5, ordered a 10.5, 10 would be better. otherwise, great!

These are nice boots. The fit is comfortable and it is supportive. The construction is quality, the instep is stiff to provide a good step with out being uncomfortable. But, I ulitmately did not keep them because of two issues: I felt that the leather wore very easily, especially on the tow, and that it would quickly look beat up, and it appeared their design tends to pronate some, which would be good if you naturally suppinate in your step, but for someone who pronates it seems to worsen the problem.

I generally love Merrell shoes, so when I found this pair of Chukka's I was all over them. I was secretly hoping that sticking across the toe would not be as pronounced in person versus the picture online, however once getting them it was worse. If you're really looking for that smooth-toe Chukka style boot, these are NOT going to fit that bill. Without that stitching these things would be perfect, good leather color, comfortable. However that stitch just kills the style. Sorry Merrell, I'll look for some more stylish boots. :(

This is a very good shoe: very nice looking and well-made. The color and stitching is nice and the foot bed is exceptionally comfortable. The shoe also has a nice sole that grips well. If this shoe were priced $75-$100, it would be as expected. However, to qualify as a more expensive shoe it needs some improvements. The ankle collar needs a little padding, the leather is stiff (not supple in the least), the tongue doesn't have a centering loop to prevent the tongue from slipping off to the side, I would prefer the tongue be the same color as the rest of the shoe (not reddish), and the shoe runs a little large. I have the low version of these shoes and that version runs true to size and has a padded ankle collar. The leather on that version is also stiff and the color is off (a little greenish), but still qualifies for 4 stars.

More of a square toe than shows in pictures. Top rubbed my ankles raw. I love Merrells, just not this model.
