I had an identical mat for nine years and can't even guess how how many hundreds of hours I practiced on it. It was as good as new, only better. I practice primarily hot yoga (not Bikram), and I only use a hand towel-no towel laid over my entire mat; the grip is as good as they get short of rubber. I only bought a new one because my original was lost.

My daughter in law has this mat and recommended I buy one for my wife. She love it!

I like that this mat is thick and sturdy. It is a bit heavy so I would not travel with it, but well worth bringing to your practice.

Used for the first time today. Mat was slightly slippery. But, much less than I anticipated. Love the color. Glad I finally made the upgrade.

Manduka products were recommended to me by a yoga friend. She has had her mat for years. I am not disappointed. It has great cushion that feels good and helps me balance. I'm assuming that this mat will last a lifetime.

I have had my Manduka Pro for about 10 years and it still looks brand new. I bought this one for my husband for Christmas and he's thrilled to be using a mat that he doesn't slip on and is good for his joints. He is 6ft and likes the standard length.

I am happy with this mat! I need a mat to cushion my hip bones, stay in one piece (not flake away), long enough and sticky enough. All needs are met! Excellent.

I had been using the health club mats. When my yoga teacher told me about this mat, I decided to make an investment in my health and get it, the lifetime guarantee is what made the difference in which mat I chose. I'm glad I got it! I can't objectively rate the durability yet, since I've only used it about 8 times.

I love this new mat! It's a little slipper at first, but seems to be getting better as it gets a little worn in. I also love the Odyssey Blue color.

Only complaint that it's heavier than I expected but it's thick and great on my knees.

I use this mat daily. I like the grip and the fact it is still very portable. It has just the right amount of cushion, not too much but enough to soften the impact on the elbows and knees during the more advanced poses.

I bought my Manduka pro a couple of month ago. I love it. No slipping, lots of cushion but firm. Best mat I've ever had.

I followed the steps to break it in on the packaging, and think I need to use the salt method one more time because I find I slip a bit in downward dog. I have full faith it will be broken in in no time with no slips. The only downside was shipping to Canada was pricey.

The last mat you will ever buy. Super stable, Sticky, and not smelly. Awesome!!!

I bought this for myself for an early Christmas gift after talking to my yoga instructor about getting a "real" yoga mat. I have used it both at home and at her studio several times and I love it. It has a great thickness to help especially wrists and knees. I do slip a little every once in a while, BUT I sweat ALOT so this is not the mat's fault!

My husband and I both have a pro and they are excellent yoga mats. They break in quickly and have great gripping in both regular and hot yoga classes. I did have to get used to the heavier weight while carrying it back and forth, but to me it's worth it for the thicker mat.

The PRO mat is the best mat I've ever used! Whenever someone asks me what kind of mat to buy, I tell them to take a try on my mat and can't believe how cushioning, long and spacious it is. I recommend the PRO mat all the time to my students and have purchased them for my family as well. Note: it is a bit heavier to carry around than some mats, but once you use it you will never go back.

I was bored from the common mat from the gym, and as I was progressing in my yoga pratise I decided to look for a more professional mat. After read many rewievs, this one was my choice an I can't regret. It has good grip, both to do transitions between asanas and to do more static or inverted postures (it is said that is even better after several uses). I didn't need to do any treatment to improve the grip. In addition, thickness for me is OK. The only thing you have to consider is that is not a mat to carry so often because is heavy.

Fabulous. Sturdy. Sufficient padding for joints. I don't slip or slide.

Thick enough, sticky enough, and such a great color.
