First I'll say that these shoes look great. Really happy about the style. The comfort is a bit taboo with these. I've had them for two weeks, I walk a 3 mile round trip to work at a fast pace through nyc. The first day I wore them my right little toe was entirely blistered as well as a small blister on my left heel. I had to use a piece of wood to stretch out the right side toe area. Although they were initially very uncomfortable, they have broken in a good amount in 2 weeks. At this rate I expect them to end up pretty comfortable.

Normally wear size 9; wear a size 8 in these. "Medium" width fits my narrow feet just fine. Crepe soles are smooth-walking, but my cobbler can't resole this type. My past pair of these lasted about 18 months, with 5 day-per-week office usage. Beeswax leather finish scuffs easily, but doesn't look bad when it does. Overall, satisfied enough to have bought another pair.

I have been looking for a nice basic brown show that I can wear with chinos as well as jeans and these fit the bill. I bought these to replace a pair of Keens that I bought last year and were so uncomfortable I threw them out. They take maybe a week or so to break in so when you first put them on they feel narrow and pretty uncomfortable (maybe like that favorite pair of jeans you have when they come out of the wash). Once they break in though they are really great. I hope they don't change the style so I can just buy the same pair of shoes for the rest of my life.

These shoes look great. They are breaking in slowly and feel mostly comfortable. They feel a half size smaller than my Clarks desert boots of the same size.

Tough to break in, I have worn all day for about ten days. Still need a shoe horn to put them on. Pretty comfy while wearing.

Sizing is a little weird with these so I figured I'd write a review to help. I wear a size 11 in everything. Size 10 in chick taylors. I ordered a size 10 but they were still too big. I ended up going with a size 9.5. They fit perfect.

Disappointed! I owned a pair of Clark's similar to these several ago - most comfortable shoes ever. But this pair, not so much. Virtually no 'give' when walking. And they got that 'broken in' look after literally 20 seconds. I put them on for the first time and walked across the bedroom floor to see how they felt. When I looked down, there was a 'fold' across the upper; I don't mind them looking like they've been worn, but not after 20 seconds. On the flip side, they are a good looking pair of shoes - perfect to wear with jeans.

Style is pretty good, but obviously not out there. Biggest dings are comfort: they cut in my heel, and just generally don't have any support. I'm hoping that they'll break in with time, but I'm not really looking forward to wearing them through the break-in period.

I really liked these shoes a lot -- they came comfortable from the box, wore-in nicely, had good laces and support, the insoles were good. The only issue is the gum sole (which is my first time owning shoes with a gum sole) wore out very quickly. I wore these in the office to work, almost daily, for 10 months and the fore-foot already is cracking and getting holes in it. My feet now get wet when I step on wet surfaces, which is quite irritating. If these were more durable I'd rate them higher, but as-is they just aren't what I was hoping for simply due to their longevity.

I had very high hopes for these shoes as I've had many pairs of Clarks that have all been outstanding. These shoes have a fantastic look however once you get to walking around in them you'll quickly notice the failings present in the design. They're fairly stiff out of the box but with a little working break in pretty quickly and show a beautiful patina as a result. One feature that is extremely disappointing is the under foot support. Most of the shock absorption is handled by the very pliable rubber sole but under foot inside the shoe is very small oddly positioned heel pad which makes for a slightly bothersome walking experience. The sole itself once dirtied is impossible to clean and will stay looking filthy for the life of the shoe.

I'm a big Clarks fan, and have worn the Desert Treks for years. I bought these (Beeswax Leather) to have a nice business-casual shoe for work, and they definitely deliver on style. They have a great look. But wow, these are uncomfortable. The rim of the shoe around the ankle is extremely stiff. In fact, the heel portion is so stiff it actually cut my Achilles heel the first day of wear even though I had socks on and did no excessive walking (I have a desk job). There is zero suppleness to the leather used, but I'm holding out hope they'll break in and start to feel like the Clarks I'm used to. In all honesty, even they look great and I intend on remaining a Clarks customer, I wouldn't purchase these again.

Really liked the style and fit of the shoe; however, when walking in them the top front discolors where the toes and foot bend. I hated to have to send them back.

These shoes look great but they are stiff as hell out of the box and will take weeks of contact wear to break in. Add to that the gum rubber soul that turns black almost instantly and the poorly placed heel pad to make this is a shoe that is a complete failure at being worthy of its price and branding.

I would not recommend this shoe. Pro: They are pretty comfortable, look good and the actual leather is fine. Con: They fall apart. Fast. I've had these shoes for about 7 months. I'm replacing them. One month in a shoelace broke. I replaced it. Then the other broke. Then the replacement for the first. Then it got a hole in the bottom of the shoe all the way through the insole. I don't tax the shoes that much. Probably 60-70% of their use was indoors around my office. Yet in 7 months they needed to be tossed out. I've never had a shoe last such a short amount of time. They look nice and feel nice but if you want a shoe that will last, buy something else.

The shoes looked great on the website and when I first received them. After about two weeks of wear, the leather/suede material just does not hold up. It appears the break in was over 6 months instead of two weeks, and one of my laces even broke. I am an IT professional and do not put much stress on my shoes. I got a second pair of these shoes just to rule out that I got a bad pair, but the second pair did the same exact thing. One other annoyance--the insole only goes half the length of the shoe and then cuts off as if I wasn't supposed to notice! The soles of the shoes are made out of a soft sponngy-rubbery material. Brand new the soles were white and felt good. After 2 weeks, they turned blackish from walking outside. Due to the softness of the soles, the toes and heel both show signs of serious wear after TWO weeks. I thought Clarks was a reputable brand, but after trying out these shoes, my loyalty will lie elsewhere.

These shoe look good but thats all it is. The are very snugged i could barely move my toes. The main problem is the foot support. These shoes hurt so bad wearing them i felt needles under my foot.

Do not buy. Worst shoe ever. My feet hurt so bad I had to trash them. But not before I tried insoles and pads and everything else. Really wish I had my money back to buy real shoes. In fact, I won't ever buy any Clarks ever again.

These are the most uncomfortable shoes I have ever worn. I was hoping they would break in, but after a few weeks not much has changed. The shoes look good, but they feel terrible on the feet. I should have returned them before I tried to break them in. Money down the drain as I will most likely be throwing these away.
