Didn't fit!! The sleeve is too tight (for a 13" MacBook Air). I have a Herschel sleeve, purchased a few years ago, for a 13" MBA. (It's grey - the upper quarter is dark grey; the lower three-quarters - light grey.) That older sleeve, even with a plastic snap-on cover on my MBA, is a perfect fit. The new cover I received, when laid on top of the older one, is just about half an inch too narrow. (The length - the left-to-right dimension - is okay; it's the width - top-to-bottom - that is not the same dimension as my old Herschel cover.) So I will return the 13" dark red cover, and I will order a Herschel sleeve for a 15" MacBook Pro (for my 13" MBA). I'd rather have a sleeve that might be too big rather than one that is too tight, where I have to jam my laptop into it. And, with that tight fit - the new one - every time I zip it closed, the zipper will rub against the corners of my laptop. (My older Herschel didn't have this problem with the zipper.) This is similar to buying a pair of shoes. You take a Size 10. The salesman has only Size 9 1/2. And, when you tell him the shoes are too small, you get the answer, 'Well, it's only a half size too small. And the shoes will 'give' the longer you wear them.' Hey - shoe guy!! They're too small - wake up!!! I really like my original Herschel sleeve. The material is tough! No problems with the material ever ripping or tearing. My laptop is well-protected when I travel. And the zipper is big - no worries about the zipper failing. But the new one I just received is just that half inch too small. (Herschel - adjust those computer-run sewing machines. Add a half inch.)

This case is very padded and keeps my Mac very safe. There is nothing bad to say. The zipper is very nice and never gets stuck or caught on the bag. There are no pockets or anything for papers which is no big deal.
