I am a letter carrier that walks 6-8 miles a day, plus climbs over 500 stairs a day. I try not to spend too much money on shoes because I usually only get a few months out of them. Let me say 1) These are by far, the most comfortable and the lightest shoes I have worn. 2) they would hold up well for someone who walks a few miles a day. 3) The leather quality is absolutely outstanding. I beat the day lights out of shoes, mainly from scuffing the soles on concrete and brick stairs. These held up fine for about 3 months. They are still wearable, but I have almost gone through the little bullet shaped tabs on the bottom. Once again, I pound on shoes. Having spent 20 years as a letter carrier, I have tried dozens of cross-training and walking shoes. These are without a doubt the most comfortable and cushioned pair I have owned. The only thing that will stop me from buying another pair is the cost. I would end up doubling the amount I normally pay annually for shoes if I continued to purchase these. Hopefully, I can catch them on sale or eventually closeout.

I wanted a black leather sneaker but the right heel is too big and my foot keeps slipping out. Therefore, I have to return them. Hopefully, I can purchase a ladies version in a wide size.

Very thick sole, so good protection for the heel strike. But, very little lateral support. Feels like my foot is trying to slide off the outside edge of the sole.

These are horrible. My foot slides off the outside of the shoe. Feels like they made the upper wider but not the sole of the shoe. The heel is REALLY thick. They look like 'special prescription' shoes. Sadly I wore them on pavement and now I'm stuck with them.

Very good buy. Solid enough for trail walking but light and extremely comfortable. I was also very impressed with the Zappos fit recommendation that looked at my previous purchases and recommended a size up from my normal size based on this particular shoe's characteristics. It fits perfectly so no return and re-order necessary. Great shoe and a neat tool too.

Being a Aircraft Mechanic I am on my feet almost 10 hours a day walking on concrete. I love the fit and feel of these shoes. The sole offers a different feel compared to the Omni Grid Walkers that I normally wear. They hold up very well to all the chemicals and greases I am around. I usually change them out before they are worn out due to how I walk.

I am on my 3rd pair, wearing them everyday. I have supination and these shoes are very comfortable for that issue. As with most low top sneakers after 6 months I can tell I need to get a new pair, even though the construction has not started to breakdown. The lower price is why I bought these and have found them to last just a long as the other recommended shoes for supinators. I highly recommend them for supination support and 6 months of wear.

I was looking for a little less expensive shoe than my former brand, which had gotten out of control on costs. I should be buying new shoes every 6 months as my under-pronation (supination) really is tough on shoes. Several web sources recommended this shoe as suitable for my ankle architecture.Time will tell how they hold up and how my ankles feel in a few weeks. For right now what I do know is that the shoes appear to be constructed well with quality materials. I tried a less expensive brand first and there is an obvious difference between the $75 pair and this show at $100. The big thing I noticed quickly is that this shoe is very light, about 1/2 the weight of my previous $120 brand.
The sizing was initially a problem. I tried the size specified by the dimensions and it was too small. I wear a 9D by the charts and by my previous shoe brand. I had to get a 9-1/2E to make for a comfortable fit in this shoe. I have a high instep and larger width felt a lot more comfortable.
Zappos did not have the larger size in stock when I first ordered but upon request they were able to get the proper size within a few days.
Now, only time will tell if the shoe holds up

I bought these shoes for my grandpa as he was having foot pain so intense he could hardly walk. After trying on 11 pairs (yes, 11... Thank you, Zappos for awesome customer service!) he absolutely loved these shoes. He has VERY wide feet and these were the only ones that fit him well. So if you suffer from hammer toe, plantar fascitis/heel pain, and/or have wide feet these are the shoes for you. After only a week of wearing them he noticed a significant improvement in his foot pain and almost cancelled his podiatrist appointment because he didn't think he needed it anymore. Give them a try. Thanks Zappos!

I have used the Saucony Echelon sneaker for years now. First introduced to them after foot surgery. I am a mailman who has tried several brands of sneakers and hands down this brand is the best quality sneaker in a walking style there is.They have been a big help to me over the years.

I'm on my feet on concrete floors anywhere from 8 to 10 or more hours per shift in an auto assembly plant, so these shoes are Godsends! If I get a couple of months out of a pair of shoes I wear to work I'm doing very well and these will last as long as 6 or 7 months before they're completely worn out. Good foot protection too, if I stub my toe against something. Very comfortable, stylish, soles last quite a while. I love Saucony shoes overall and don't purchase any other manufacturer, except one pair of Under Armour which turned out to be so-so as far as quality and comfort. Highly recommend these shoes for durability, comfort and style!

I bought these for my husband. He loves them! He is very picky with his shoes and he has told me numerous times how much he likes them. I bought the exact size he wears, 10¼ and they fit perfectly! They are very good looking shoes!

Having a hard to fit wide foot with a high instep, I am thrilled with this shoe, which I ordered in the E width. I am also surprised at how light this shoe is, while also being well-constructed. Though rather high-priced, I am relieved to find a shoe that I can wear for long stretches on my feel officiating swim meets.

As lightweight as you'll find in a sturdy walking shoe with superior heel and pad cushion. Fit tightly (though I didn't even need to change sock weight) but not uncomfortably so. Naturally, no popping out of the heel. No signs of wear or lessening of cushion at fifty+ miles. Have already bought two more pairs as backups since you never know when a line is going to get discontinued.

This was the shoe I wanted, but they were all gone in my size, a womenS size 8.5. So I took a chance and ordered a men’s size 7. I am so happy that I did because they fit perfectly and Saucony has discontinued this shoe, so this was my last chance to get it

I bought these 2 wks ago to alleviate pain in the ball of my left foot (made worse by a 5 block walk on the street to/from the parking garage) and achilles tendonitis in my right foot that I've had for nearly 10 mos (my PT recd shoes with a 6 - 12 mm heel-to-toe differential).
I haven't had any pain in my left foot since I started wearing them, and the achilles tendonitis is better (but I've also been seeing a PT for 8 wks). The shoes are stylish enough that I can wear them on casual days at work, and they are very comfortable - more so than the New Balance shoes I bought at the same time.
I'd also recommend:

First, Saucony is a great shoe. This particular style has an arch that is just too high and makes my foot supinate (outward roll). The inside cushioning is outstanding and I considered keeping them, but returned them because Zappos has the best return policy!

I encouraged my husband to buy these shoes after reading the reviews. He's worn them for 2 days and they are the worst shoes he's ever bought. So that was $102 down the drain since Zappos won't let you return used shoes. Would definitely not recommend these shoes.
