I bought these for my youngest daughter. She has worn Bearpaws for years but they were worn to a nub so when I saw that these are waterproof it solved two problems in one boot. Cozy inside but suitable for crazy New Jersey weather. They do not come in half sizes so they are a bit sloppy in the fit. One complaint the fleece insole is so thin and flimsy it gave no support and after two days was already packed down and wearing through. I solved this by using a pair of sheepskin insoles from LL Bean. These are great for any boots. This also helped the fit. But for the price I would expect Emu to do better. They do have better arch support than either Uggs or Bearpaw. The sole is a bit stiff and not very grippy for icy conditions but a great buy for puddle prone kids that like the cush of sheepskin. Four stars because of the insole.

My daughter doesn't like to change into snow boots to go outside for recess, and she loves her Uggs, so these were a great solution as since they are waterproof she can play in the snow plus they keep her feet warm. And she wore them all day in school. They pass for Uggs too so that solved the fashion requirement. The downside of these are the insoles do not compare to Uggs and they wore down quickly to a point that they were very nubby inside. The second downside is that the soles wore down very quickly. I've passed Uggs down to my son, then to my nephew and my niece -- after going through 4 kids, the Uggs were still nice enough to hand down. With these, halfway through the winter I threw the first pair away and ordered a second just because she didn't like any other snow boot. So, $99.95 may seen inexpensive when compared to Uggs, but buying two pair. Well, I guess it was still less than a pair of Uggs and snow boots, but no hand me downs with the Emu.

This boot is great, but I'm disappointed the fun patterns and animals boots don't come in sizes larger than big kid 4.

My daughter likes these boots - they seem very warm and run true to size. They are a little plain for her liking (she enjoys fancy shoes!) but we have had many of these boots in the past and I was looking for warm and waterproof, which these are.
