I recently became a mail carrier and I needed really good snow boots for the winter that I can walk in eight hours a day, six days a week. These were my first pair of Keen shoes and I absolutely love them. There was no need to break them in, they felt great from the beginning. They keep my feet warm, dry, and have good traction. I see some people have issues getting their feet in and out of them, I do not. They are snug but they are also laceless, hence the snug fit. I love the way they look, too. I will definitely be getting another pair of Keen boots. And thank you, Zappos, for the great customer service!

Although they are a little hard to get on (not terrible) once they are on they are extremely warm, comfortable, and grip the ice/snow great! Would highly recommend these boots.

I bought these boots for a walking/hiking trip to Ireland, but did not get a chance to wear them at all before the trip. With my fingers crossed, I put them on right before the first hike and found them to be amazing! They are warm, sturdy, with great traction, and fantastic ankle support. I did not feel as if I had to break them in at all, and now that I'm back in the US, they're also perfect for the snow and ice! As with all my Keen footwear, I had to go up 1/2 size. So, as long as I keep this in mind, all my Keen purchases from Zappos have worked out wonderfully!

I love Keen shoes and with the crazy winter weather this year was looking forward to owning my first pair of Keen boots. These boots are very narrow and we're very hard to put on and are not traditional Keen fit. I wear 9.5 in their shoes, so I ordered a 10, which you really need a size larger
I'm so disappointed these did not work. I tried a few other Keen styles and they did not work either.

Great light boots, but if you have a high instep they are almost impossible to put on. Would definitely recommend for someone without a high instep. Once you can manage to get your foot into the boot they are great. But too hard for me.

I bought these boots for a vacation I was taking to Iceland in February 2015. These boots were nearly perfect for this trip. First, they are very lightweight. I tried on a lot of different boots, and so many of them are so clunky and heavy. I really liked that they were lightweight and easy to walk in. Second, they are very comfortable. Sometimes I find when I go on a trip and I'm doing a lot of walking the shoes I'm wearing hurt my feet. I didn't get any blisters or anything from these ... no "breaking them in" phase. In terms of sizing, I ordered an 8.5 (I'm normally a 7.5 or an 8), but I bought some very thick socks for them, so I think an 8 would have worked if I wanted to wear normal socks. But definitely not excessively larger than my normal size. Third, they are very warm! We had some brutal wind, snow, and rain, and these boots kept my feet warm. One day they did get wet on the inside and they stayed wet overnight, but I think it was because we were exposed to some serious snow and rain for several hours (it's also possible they got damp from my feet sweating ... we were doing some serious hiking). I would recommend these boots to anyone. My one thing is that I wish they came in all black ... I got the blue pair, and they're nice looking, but I think I may have preferred to have a pair that was a bit less... flashy. However, I did get some compliments on them, so maybe it wasn't a big deal anyway! Really love these boots. Would happily buy them again.

Wilma! As soon as I slipped the first boot over my toes, I knew this was the pair for me. Slipped, because there are no clasps or laces to adjust, just elastic at the top. That sounds bonkers, I know, but the sizing is true and the boot really is marvelously constructed. It's seen me through two outings in Boston (February 2015) so far and I've not shied away from snowdrifts or icy puddles.

I wrote a review on these before, but now that I have hiked in the snow with them, I have to update. I first bought the blue pair and could not get my foot through the shaft. I bought the grey ones and they are tight, but I can get my foot in with socks. I wore these to hike in the woods in the snow and I could not be happier. They have the great thick sole, kept my feet warm and dry. I could not ask for more. I am very happy!

These boots are absolutely awesome, and amazingly warm in spite of how lightweight the insulation is. I ordered these and The North Face Chilkat at the same time, really expecting that I would prefer the TNF pair because the insulation in those seemed so thick and dense. The problem is that it is too thick and your toes are crunched. These boots fit like most Keens, with a nice wide toe box. The insulation is SO warm. I have Reynauds in my toes yet even in -20F degrees, these boots kept my toes toasty warm while out snowshoeing for 2 hours. I do not have any problem getting them on or off - and I love the lacing system. I don't typically have to tighten or loosen them, just pull them on and go!
I normally wear a 9 and ordered a 10 in these so that I could wear slightly heavier socks. However, I have not found that necessary at least so far. Love them!

Simply put, I love these boots. Was looking for a good all purpose (rural-use) winter boot for the cold, high altitude Southwest desert. I required a gusseted tongue to keep snow and mud out. Having a narrow foot, I've often overlooked Keens because they look so wide. These boots are super comfortable and I just pull 'em on and go. I can scramble up steep trails or wear them in town. The laces could easily be swapped out for real laces- the ones they come with are sort of stretchy elastic, but they work. I highly recommend these boots. I wear either an 8.5 or a 9 and I ordered the nine which was perfect. I have thin calves and narrow feet. No problem pulling them on.

After trying on several winter boots from Keen and Columbia, I finally found that the Wilma boots are perfect for what I need. We live in snowy and wet Michigan and the winters are horrible w/o the right pair of snow boots. These are warm, stay dry and provide good traction when walking on snow/ice. I especially love how soft and comfy the shaft part is and the ability to cinch the laces as tight as I want. My only complaint is that it doesn't have the hook on the top of the toes to keep the gaiters on the snow show but maybe I dont need gaiters w/these afterall! The height of the shaft keeps any snow from getting in. Definitely recommend but make sure you try several pairs bc the first pair I received just didn't fit right and I exchanged for the same size/shoe and it fit great!

I bought these last year and I could not get my foot inside the shaft. I bought them again this year in blue and same thing. But I tried one more time and got the gray and the laces open up enough or me to get my foot in! Yeah. They are great and I will use them in the winter for hiking. I have not worn them yet - I just received them - so I will update later.

I have had UGGS for so long and have loved the warmth but I have slipped many times in the snow and ice so decided to look for good tread. Keen Wilma Lace won the contest. Love them. Warm, good tread, light weight and great colors.

I bought the Wilma Lace to try after the Betty boot II didn't work out for me. I love this boot. It is super comfortable, has awesome tread and grip on the bottom for traction on snow and ice, and snugs up nicely to the leg to get a nice secure fit (just what I was looking for...the Keen Betty boot was just too loose in the ankle for me). I know some people mentioned that the boot is hard to get on. I didn't experience that once I got the right size. I did have to go up half a size (10) from my regular Keen size (9.5) as the toe area was a little short. I'm able to wear midweight smartwool socks with the boots comfortably, and could even wear heavier socks if needed because there is just a bit of extra room. I got the Magnet Gray/Natural Gray color and I love it. It matches well with a variety of clothing. For winter boots, I think they look pretty attractive too. I'd buy these again. And, as always, Zappos rocks with their customer service and delivery.

I'm not sure if this boot has been updated in the last few months but I had no trouble getting it on. A lot of the reviews state they were impossible to get in to but I didn't have that problem. Granted I do have a lower instep but not too far off the normal. Plus the laces are elastic and can loosen quite a bit and the fabric top is gusseted. It is very lightweight even though it doesn't look that way. It is flexible and easy to walk in. I have a few pairs of Keens that are 8.5 and they are a tad small on me now so I ordered a 9 in this boot and it was too big overall on my foot. I have re-ordered the 8.5 so I'll have to let you know on the fit. Otherwise, I think this boot is warm and comfy, and it doesn't really look like a snow boot. You can get straight leg jeans over the tops with no problem. Love that they snug up to your leg at the top too. I will say that there is not as much arch support as I'd like or that I've found other Keens to have but I will probably use my orthotics or other insoles in it anyway. Yes, you can remove the insoles and orthotics fit! I am hoping the 8.5 works because I really like the quality of this boot.

These boots are awesome, just like every other pair of Keens that I have worn. They are very warm and comfortable and easy to pull on and off. As always with Keens, order half a size larger than you normally would.

Yes, these are a little tough to pull on, but I am finding them worth it because of how well they stay on my feet. They have wonderfully wide toe space, are light weight so my feet don't get tired after walking miles in them. The laces are super helpful in getting the right fit whether i am wearing thin or thick socks.

I love these boots! They are the most comfortable snow boots I have ever owned. They do have one drawback though. They are extremely difficult to get on with socks, but they are warm enough to wear without them.

Very comfortable boots. They are supportive without being stiff. I have a narrowish foot but not narrow enough for a narrow width shoe. I have no trouble getting these boots on my feet with wool socks on. Lots of room in the toe box so I expect my toes to stay warm and toasty. I ordered these in my normal hiking boot/athletic shoe size, which is 1/2 size up from my regular shoe size. I'm ready for winter now....

After reading the reviews I ordered a half size larger than I normally wear and it worked out well - they fit perfectly. Also per the reviews the boots are a little difficult to pull on. They are fitted around the ankle so it is a little hard to get your foot through that part. Don't try to get them on with really thick socks but the boots are so warm that you won't need them. I always have cold feet but mine were slightly sweating in normal socks in these boots. They are extremely warm and comfortable boots and the minor inconvenience of a little extra tugging to get them on and off is worth it. The style is great and I have had many compliments on them.

I bought these because I wanted some better quality winter boots than my Uggs - and I have been very pleased! I usually wear a size 8, but that was half a size to small, so I sent them back and ordered a new pair in 8.5, who fit perfectly! Sending the other pair back was free and easy. I have used my new boots for walking full days on a five day trip to New York City, and also through snow-filled hikes in Wisconsin, and these boots have loved my feet! They are super warm, comfortable and over average cute looking compared to other nice quality winter boots. So if you are looking for some nice winter boots, you will be pleased with these!

Agree with other reviewers - because of the lace-free nature of this boot they are difficult to get on - but not off and are very comfy and warm. Easy to walk in - they are not clunky. Keep feet warm and dry on hour plus dog-walks in the snow. Gave it 4 stars for comfort only because they really are a pain to get on, but once on - they are great.
