These boots are great! But I usually wear a 9 - 9.5, so I ordered a 9.5 so I could wear thick winter socks. I had to keep ordering down, the right size was 8.5. Frustrating, but not a huge hassle thanks to Zappos great return/exchange policy.

I live in Maine and it's cold here right about now. I needed and wanted a boot that would have excellent traction, keep me warm, be comfortable for a long winter walk, and not look like a lumber jack's boot so I could wear them when I go out. I am thrilled with my Keen's. They fit the way Keen's fit -- comfortable, good arch support, wide enough for a wide-ish foot, snug (but not bad) around a fairly wide calf. These will last me forever, I hope -- the best I've found after a very long search. I wish Keen would make shoes I could wear everyday to work -- these are serious boots, but look good enough to pass for just enough style to get by in city life. Most important is that I feel safe in them and for once don't have to worry about falling down on the ice. The grips are great! Thanks! Shipping and service, excellent from Zappos, as always. My last winter boots lasted eight years. I needed to replace them. I have never been happier with a boot purchase! These fit the bill. Warm, dry, with wonderful arch support and great traction. I can wear these all day Nd my feet feel fabulous. Thanks Keen for an amazing boot!

I love these boots! I grew up in the south, so when I moved north 15 years ago, I did not own a pair of snow boots nor did I know how to choose the right pair. I spent 13 years trying out different ones with no success in finding a warm, dry, comfortable, fashionable boot with traction for snow and ice. Lsst winter I found these Keen Betty Boot II at Zappos; I ordered a pair even though I thought they were pricey. Well they are worth the price. They are so lightweight that my husband said they would never keep my feet warm, but he was wrong, they do keep my feet warm. They keep my feet dry, and they have a lot of traction for safely walking in the snow and ice. I wear my pants tucked in and get many compliments. When they first arrived, the calf of the boot felt stiff on my leg but it did loosen up after a few times wearing them. Oh, did I mention that they do keep my feet warm? I now have them in every color available. I wear a size 9 in all other shoes, and even with heavy socks these boots in a size 9 fit perfectly.

I wore these shoes every day for three weeks straight, traveling around Scandinavia and Iceland in December. I carried a backpack across cities on foot in the snow, and my feet stayed dry, warm, and comfortable. The tread was great and I felt very secure in them, and the zippers made them simple to take them on and off without having to fuss with laces. I bought them half a size up, in order to wear them with the thick Smartwool socks, and they were well worth the money. The styling feels a little clunky and chunky, but if you are looking for an easy-on winter boot to keep your feet happy while walking for miles, I wholeheartedly recommend them.

These are awesome boots! Super warm (tested to -10), grippy on ice and stylish. I had 5 ppl ask abt them!

Great snow boot and we have had lots of snow this winter. I normally wear a size 8 so that is what I originally ordered. I had to return it for an 8 1/2 which fits great. I wear them with a normal weight crew sock and they are warm. They zip tightly over my snow pants when out shoveling. I originally ordered the black on black version but when returning for a larger size only the brown was available and I like the brown better! Great boot. Thanks to all the reviews that helped me pick this one.

I love these boots -- and I love Zappos! These are true to size, a little stiff at first but okay by day2. The heel cups and arch fit my feet very well. I need a wide toe box and Keen always delivers there. I wear a 9.5 but I ordered a 10 first, trying to allow for thick socks. They fit, but my heel slid forward and I could tell it wasn't sitting right in the foot bed. I went online and had the 9.5 the very next day with the Zappos lightning fast exchange process. Have been wearing the boots every day since delivery! I'm in MN and the cold weather means nothing to my feet while in these boots.

These are exactly as promised.... I wear a 7.5 but ordered an 8 so that I could wear them with thick socks. They're very grippy on the bottom which i need because we have two large dogs that pull, and icy sidewalks in the midwest. I don't love the color but I'm glad to have these, the black ones were sold out in my size.

Loved this boot...had a lot of frigid weather lately and my feet were never cold! They are very comfortable to wear long periods of time. The arch support was the reason I bought them and I have not been disappointed.

These boots are well worth the price you pay. They are extremely comfortable light weight and great for walking on snowy icy conditions.

My second pair of these boots! The heel lining tore on my first pair after a few years, which you would think would disqualify another purchase, but with added layers of socks they really do the trick in heavy, deep snow and ice. I would say they run large. I normally wear 7.5 to 8.5 and ended up with a 7.5 in these, which still leaves room for two layers of socks. And sometimes? In Chicago? That is just what you need in your boots.

I'm thoroughly happy with these boots. I got them in anticipation of a harsh, snowy winter, and they're proving to be just perfect -- extremely warm, waterproof, and great traction. (I'm an "ice wimp" and was elated to find I can walk my dog through icy streets without fear of slipping.) The footbed works very well for me. I have a Mortons neuroma that makes it painful to wear most shoes unless they accommodate my orthotics. These boots are entirely comfortable without orthotics, even on long walks. Being totally focused on comfort and traction, it was just an extra bonus that the boots are attractive; I got a number of compliments from my more fashion-conscious friends. I highly recommend these for getting around in the winter.

Zappos gave me the best shoe buying experience I have ever had! I have a severe case of plantar fasciitis, and these Keen boots provide the support that I need, and I was also able to to insert my customized orthotics. I bought them a 1/2 size larger to have room for both the orthotics and thick socks- it was perfect. If you have this foot problem- I highly recommend this winter boot.

Really appreciated the one-day turn around for these boots. Needed something in a hurry and based on the reviews decided to give these a try. Wear an 8.5/9 dress shoe and a 9.5 sneaker so ordered the 9.5 and it fits great. Roomy enough for a heavy sock but not so loose to be floppy. In the midst of snowmageddon (we'll have 3' by the time this is finished) and the boots performed perfectly! They have kept my feet toasty warm and completely dry. Five stars for the boots and Zappos!!

Thank you, Keen, for these boots! I have been having some foot and heel pain, but I walk many miles each week - rain or shine - and I refuse to stop walking. These boots are like foot armor! I cannot feel the ground under my feet because of those excellent reinforced soles! Yes, they are warm - very warm. They might be a little too warm, but I compensate by wearing lighter outfits when I have got the boots on. I was worried that I would have to start driving to work due to foot pain, but these boots did the trick. I am just worried what I will wear on my feet when winter is over.

I was waiting for it to get really cold to write a review. I wanted a warm boot, easy to slip on, and comfortable enough to take the dogs on a long walk. I've been looking for a long time. My feet are always cold. This is the boot! I was out walking for 45 minutes yesterday in 14 degrees. I had on wool socks and my feet were perfectly comfortable. I"m sure there are warmer boots available, but they end up being so bulky, walking is not fun. These also had good traction (I was walking on frozen snow)--no slipping at all. I have 15" calves and they just fit. I always wear a size 7 Keen and these were true to size, with lots of room for thick socks. Keen can be hit or miss, but when they get it, I think they do a good job.

These boots are amazingly comfortable and warm and true to size! These boots are on the wide side, which is great for me because I have problems with bunions on both feet. But I am returning them because when I walk in them they feel very still in the sole. Would love to keep them for all the other reasons but cannot get past the fact that my foot does not flex at all from heel to toe when I walk. I love Keen products and as always Zappos rocks! I am going to try a couple of other styles Kamik and North Face boots simply because Zappos makes online shopping so easy.

Boots are stylish and warm. went to MN for christmas and did well in snow and ice. normally, wear 8-8.5 and decided to go bigger because of winter socks. there is still quite a bit of room so maybe should have ordered an 8. have planters fasciitis and can wear these comfortably for about 5 hours.

I have been clomping around the house in three different sizes for a while now, trying to decide which ones to keep. I thought for sure the 8½ would be perfect but got a 9 to be sure and ordered the 8 as an afterthought. But everyone was right, ordering half a size down (8 for me) was just right, even with two pairs of socks or heavy socks. I also wore them in the car on super cold days (I live in Seattle where super cold is 38°F) and my feet stayed warm. Once I had the size right I started testing out the waterproof part. I have a big dog and we went tromping through puddles and mud in the pouring rain in December and I could even break into a run with him on those days when he had been stuck inside too long. I love Keen shoes, they fit my feet really well and I appreciate the toe protection. In terms of style, I wore them to work, to a Christmas concert and doing errands as well as on my walks with the dog. They are a bit clunky, but for their versatility and warmth and waterproofness, I felt fine about them. Super appreciate Zappos' great service and return policy. I need to return the bigger pairs now but so appreciate having time to try out the different sizes.

These are nice boots. The foot bed is very comfortable. I like Keens and have worn them before, especially after I suffered a foot injury. The arch support is good, and it helps that the boots give added support to my ankles. The toe box is wide enough to allow my toes room, which I appreciate. I ordered a 7 and a half even though in other shoes I am normally a 7. These boots are good quality, look just like the picture, and while a bit stiff to begin with, break in easy.

My heart is breaking. These were really cute....but my wide feet couldn't take them. (Size 11/12, and a heavy set person) I also have a high instep which was not a problem with these boots. I felt like they also had good arch support which only makes it harder to say goodbye. I really liked the fur lining. It was soft and comfortable against my legs so that I could just wear regular length socks in them. They also seemed like they would do well in the snow. Booo. I wish Keen made "Wide"!

I ordered these boots to be my "go-to-the-the-barn-every-morning" boots. I had a different kind of boot last year and I wore through the backs of them. I like the easy-in style of these and true to Keen form, they feel great from the jump. I have started wearing them on my morning hikes with the dogs, and they are super comfy...they'll be great once the snow flies.

Comfortable boot. Looking forward to wearing them when the snow falls. I needed a bit larger boot to wear wool socks. This boot fit the bill.
