I am ridiculously happy with this bag. I want to let you all know what a great purchase it has been. I am a one bag at a time girl and I really labored trying to find my next pocket book. This one is great because the straps are long enough to go over and stay on your shoulder and its tapered design, where the top is wider than the bottom, means you can see the contents really easily, plus the size is ample without being bulky! I can fit all three of my glass cases, a small wallet, my smart phone, a book, and my iPad, with room to spare! The black with brown matches everything I own. Nice quality materials. Inside pockets are helpful for organizing my lip balm, ear buds, check book, receipts etc. This price for a bag is a splurge for me, but this one is worth it. Plus, after looking around, I found the price is really reasonable for a higher end bag. I tried other Dooney & Bourke bags before I found this one. While attractive to the eye, one was too small and the long strap was hard to stay on and the other was so heavy and had a small opening and wide bottom making it impossible to see the contents. Hope my review helps you decide whether this bag is for you!

I am not a big purse person. I tried this on in a store and was surprised that it was light and comfortable on my shoulder. It has several compartments that are great for organizing. The outside pocket is perfect for a cell phone. I needed this to fit my iPad which it does. The leather and quality are all nice. I am very pleased with this bag and have received several compliments. Zappos service as always is fabulous.

I love a Dooney & Bourke bag, almost all styles but this one is in the top 5! A perfect size, great color for all year around, and it was delivered on time and in perfect condition! For the price, you can't go wrong.

I lean to timeless styling in big ticket handbags and D&B's Charleston Shopper fills the bill there. The size is also perfect for me. Large enough to get everything I need to carry into it without overwhelming me. I am a smaller person at 5'4" and 108 pounds and some shopper totes were just too much bag for my size. Very practical design in the pebbly leather that helps hide wear. I love the caramel color accents on all the bags and the caramel bag which is self trimmed is very attractive too. I had a hard time choosing colors as they all looked great. I like the flat straps that help the bag stay put on my shoulders, unlike rounded straps in some other manufacturer's designs that seem to slide off for me. Like the zipper close top which I much prefer for keeping inside contents more secure over the snap close tops of some other shopper bags. Like the interior design with separate slip and zipper pockets for ease of organizing contents. Also the outside back zipper pocket comes in handy. Fabric used for interior lining seems durable. Only thing missing on my wish list is the little feet on the bottom, like those Hobo International uses on their bags. My drawback with the D&B Charleston Tote I have is one of the straps is maybe ¼" longer than the other but assuming that might happen with all their bags, I didn't exchange it for that small hiccup. One of the many advantages of buying through Zappos is how easy they make exchanges or returns if you need to do that.

Love this shopper. Perfect size and so roomy. Easy to find all your personal items. I usually have to remove items from my purse to get to other items, but not with this shopper. I stay so organized. I want the green one. Holds up well and does not buckle. My new favorite purse. Thank you Zappos. You rock.

Do not order Dooney & Bourke products. I never received the item, incompetent customer service, refuses to refund the item. 6 months non-ending nightmare.

The Charleston Shopper is beautiful. Perfect size and so roomy. I did return due to the strap was not long enough to keep on my shoulder.

How many of these have I bought? I have no idea because they are the best bags out there and that includes my very high end bags! The size is comfortable, even for people who are not so tall. The zipper affirms security and easily. The straps are comfortable, long enough to fit over a coat, but not too long, and stay put! The price is right so that one might be able to indulge in all the wonderful colors available. There are even suede Charlestons available now if you search for them. This is a bag which can hold all you need in an average day and the width is not outlandish like some bags so it is not unwieldy either. This is what all bags should be like!

I really like this bag. There is nothing I don't like. From the pink interior which makes it easy to see inside to all the interior pockets and out side zipper and not too heavy either! Oh yes it does have the feet to protect the bottom of the bag. Very high quality. Of course, excellent service and delivery from my favorite place to shop Zappos!

This handbag is very smart looking and has plenty of room inside. It was exactly what I hoped it would be.

Best purse I have ever had! My boyfriend got this purse for me last Christmas (2013) and I couldn't be happier. Great quality leather and interior fabric. I am hard on purses and I haven't even got a scratch on this one. I have never had a more durable and high quality purse. I absolutely love it! It has great organization with a key hook, multiple pockets, some zipper and clasp closure. It's great! Definitely recommend buying it!

Lovely bag. Big enough for all my stuff with room left over. The color is perfect for the season this year. Beautifully made; as all Dooney's are. Quality shows every time.

Oh, my goodness! I absolutely am in love with this shopper! I carry it as a purse and it holds everything I need to take with me and is not too heavy! In additiion, it's very well-made and will last for years to come.

Great purse for work! It has survived this past cold NY winter! the leather is quite soft and there are plenty of pockets/compartments inside. My only two concerns are 1) the shape does not completely stay. You have to constantly put something inside to conserve it. 2) the straps are a bit shorter than pictures it is sometimes a problem when you are a wearing a big coat!

Cute bag for the price! Not quite as big as I was hoping for, and the stitching is a little bit cheap looking, but I am super picky about the details. I'm returning it for the Frye bag that's a bit bigger.

This is a beautiful purse but I chose the Fossil because of the numerous inside compartments it offered. If they were not so similar looking, I would probably have kept them both!

This is a very nice looking bag. I compared it with a MK bag but the MK won. I do have another Dooney, and that may be why. I just thought it was time to try another style.

Not felt like other style of Dooney & Bourke. I am a fanatic of D&B but this one does not seem constructed with same quality. It looks and feels cheap construction. It's too sad.

Loved the style of the bag. Wanted the popular spring color orange. The color was not as pretty as the tangerine. Could have chosen some of the other colors,but I am stepping of of the conservative mode.The style is beautiful.
