Wanted these in black, but Zappos was sold out. Found a pair in vintage brown on another website for half as much, so I bought them. I was a little worried after reading reviews about sizing issues, but I ordered my usual size 7, and both boots fit great. I love leather-soled shoes; they shape to your feet and are very comfortable. As others have noted, the soles are slippery at first so just scuff the bottoms on cement before heading out. All in all, these are really nice boots: quality construction, beautiful styling, lovely color. (I love these as much as I love my Frye boots -- and that is saying a lot!)

Absolutely beautifully made shoes! Soft soft leather inside and perfectly comfortable to wear directly out of the box. The first time I wore them I had them on for nearly 12 hours and walked all over San Francisco and went to a concert in the evening with no complaints. I wear a 6.5 and ordered a 7 as I had read to order up...7 was perfect. Thank you Bed Stu!

This is a great boot. The workmanship is amazing. I don't regret my decision to buy at all. Worth every penny! I must say, though, I have a narrow to normal sized foot and this boot fits like a glove. If your foot is on the wider side, consider yourself warned!

Really my favorite shoes ever. Just the right mix of feminine and menswear. Great quality leather. Great proportions and detailing. Super comfortable from the moment I put them on. The only slight issue is the soles are a bit slippery, but that can easily be fixed. I tried some more expensive versions of similar shoes, including Rag & Bone (http://www.rag-bone.com/cozen-boot-/d/6742C2404) and these look and feel much better--more worn in-less stiff and stuffy.

They are exactly what I expected, great quality all around, feel great on and I love the double zippers for ease. Bonus- they're fairly lightweight. Other boots similar to this have been much heavier! Love these with a sassy skirt.

It was like slipping on a glove. Clearly well made and very comfortable. It can be dressed up or down, which is great. I have small feet and fall somewhere in the size 4.5/5 range. A size 6 can often be just a bit too big, but these fit perfectly.

Loved these booties right away! So cool, very well made, and super comfy! I wear them with everything. They look like the toe curls up in the picture, but they don't.

I LOVE this shoe. I feel so damn cool wearing these I wish I owned more of Bedstu's stuff. Like other reviewers said, each shoe fits a little differently because they are hand-made, but after a few wearings they are broken in and I can't tell that they feel different from each other at all. The bottoms are extremely slippery and I had to put some pads on the balls right away (almost fell down the stairs first time wearing them).

Felt almost half to nearly a whole size too small for a boot. Very cute just not as expected for the price point.

I used to be a size 8 and am now closer to 8.5. After reading the reviews, I chose to go with 8.5. I had to exchange for a size 9. My feet would advise you to round up and then size up a 1/2 size.

Super beautiful shoe but the soles didn’t offer enough padding/support for my foot. Maybe in a size larger it would have been ok, but they seemed to fit small.

not for someone with a narrow heel or small ankles, I overlapped the closing and they still were to big, looked sloppy. The quality and look of these boots cannot be beat, I wish they fit! I tried several styles and sizes I couldn't get the right fit. So you know I my ankle is 7" (around) my calves are 12".

These are gorgeous boots...they are tight, though, and run small. I do have a high instep but don't usually have trouble with boots. Feel tight where the seam runs across the top of the foot. I'm going to try the next size up because these are so cute...wish me luck! (Do seem slippery as others have noted.)

These shoes are great, the leather is soft and doesn't hurt at all wearing them for the first time! I got the Bedstu oxfords but wanted something in a less strange color. These are easy to put on and looks fantastic. The only bad thing is that the leather soles are kind of slippery - might want to scuff them up a bit and be careful while walking.

I liked these boots but when I took the right one out of the box the toe had been nicked or torn in the toe and there was a bit off a flap with white underneath. It kind of makes me wonder about the complete leather of the shoe. I’ve sent these back to Zappos and ordered another pair from Bed Stu, so we will see how those are when they arrive.

Stylish, with a comfortable insole. The cap is quite and the boot requires break-in before it starts feeling comfortable. Seems to run about a half-size small—my toes felt strangled the first several wears until the boot started to break in. Still a bit snug, but I think they’ll break in nicely. Recommend going up a half size if you prefer a looser fit.

These are super cute, but definitely not made for people with wide feet. I don't even have a high instep and I couldn't bear how tight these were. I am returning these!

Perhaps I just received a one-off lemon. But when I pulled the laces tight, the leather on one of the holes ripped, almost all the way through. For the price, it really shouldn't do that. On sizing, my feet are pretty narrow, which I think caused the heel to slip a bit. If you have "normal" width, it's probably true to size.

Shoe was a tad to big and I didn’t like the type of leather design in stains they did advertise after u receive them about having color differences but one shoe looked like it had a dropped stain drips And one shoe tongue was longer than the other It was not carefully inspected

These look so awesome and I wanted to like them so bad but my heal completely slipped even though the shoe was the perfect size (wouldn't have been able to go down a size). It seemed like the heal wasn't cupped enough.
