Ordered and received my actual 8.5 size after receiving and sending back two pairs that were half a size and full size larger. These are perfect. Patagonia must have taken heed to people's reviews and altered their templates. These shoes are really light and not sturdy for rock/boulder hiking. No real support. They should be fine on regular, groomed trails. We are going to Iceland, which is why I purchased them (waterproof), and I don't plan on hiking on anything rocky or rough. They pack well, are crushable...another reason to buy them for travel. They feel great without socks as well as with thin, hiking socks.

I've been looking for comfortable, light weight walking shoes for a long time. I've lost count of how many pairs took the round trip from/to Zappos. Then I found these, and they were everything I wanted. They are comfortable, have a nice sole with traction, and they are pretty. Also, the minimal support doesn't get in the way of my high arches like so many other shoes do. My experience has been different from others. They fit my size perfectly, and even though I have wide feet, the width was fine. They look narrow, but loosen the laces, and they fit. The soft material gives, and the toe area is wide enough, not cramped at all.

Fantastic, comfortable, nice looking. But I took everyone's advice and ordered two pairs; one size up and half a size up. The 1/2 size up was huge. 1/2 an inch too long in the toes. Just get your actual size. My new order is placed.

Very versatile, light, attractive shoe. So far I've used it for mountain biking, hiking and approach shoes for climbing. Caveat though: they seem to run rather small and for narrow feet.

Love these. The Activist is a great casual shoe and travels really well. They are easily squashed for packing with no detriment to the shoe. The nylon is very comfy and looks different (in a good way). They do run a bit small, but not outrageously so. If you wanted more support, I'd order up a size and an insole would fit. The laces are super long, but double knotted they don't drag on the ground.

Great service. The color is not what I thought. They look blue but are definitely purple. I do not find them slim but actually broad across the foot. Very lightweight.

Very cute and lightweight. I had to order a size larger than my other Patagonia sneakers. These don't have as much cushioning as the others Patagonias, so I left them home for a trip involving lots and lots of walking. But I normally do 4-7 miles a day around town, and these are comfy for that. Haven't had a chance yet to test the water resistance.

I really like these shoes. Comfortable. Lightweight. Different/Not your ordinary looking sneaker. My one complaint is that the shoelaces are really, really long.

These looked like a great pair of sneakers and I was so happy when they arrived. But I could barely get the right shoe on, it felt so snug and narrow (I have a small bunion, and the right shoe is always the first I try on). I had to return them. Maybe I'll try a 9.5.

Great looking shoe, but sadly, the attraction ends there. This shoe has zero arch support. A nice fit for narrow feet.
