I love this product... i spent all weekend online trying to find a jacket. After researching various brands, I settled on this jacket (I have owned NorthFace in the past as well). This one is not only unique and stylish, but also very comfortable. I wear this to work everyday, and it has kept me sufficiently warm in February. For far northerners, something one grade heavier would work better for the coldest of winters, but for Maryland weather this is great.

Very nice jacket. The sleeves are very thick and include the same Sherpa type material on the inside. It is a relaxed fit so it is wider through the midsection. Overall very functional and warm for short periods of time outside.

This is it. This is what the Denali should have evolved into long, long ago. It's softer, warmer, and all in all, just more awesome. This is my 4th Denali, and I'm not sure any of the other ones will get worn anymore. The one thing this is lacking, it doesn't have the wrist snaps to link up to an outer shell, though it still zips in. Oh well, I wouldn't want to cover up all the awesomeness. Think Patagonia's Classic Retro-X, but better.

Warm, soft and does the job

I use this jacket primarily for casual use. I love the feel of the older style fleece. It feels like you are wearing a blanket. This jacket is really warm but I would not recommend in windy conditions.The fleece does not cut through wind as well as the denali 2. Additional things to be aware of are that this version does not have pit zips nor sleeve snaps. All in all I love the older style look and feel, and it keeps me super warm. However If I was looking for functionality over all else I would go with the denali 2.

I wear this jacket around town almost every day. Although I haven't had a chance to take it camping yet, you can bet it'll be a staple amongst the rest of my gear. It's perfect to throw on during chilly mornings in the spring and fall, and should be great for strolling around during the winter months.

The "shaggy" feel helps out on the warmth factor. Jacket does look bulky.

Got this for my son for Christmas. It was exactly what he wanted. The only complaint he had is when the collar is not zipped all the way up, the one side of the collar hangs strangely. (Maybe that's why in all the pictures on this website it is shown zipped up to the top). Anyway, I ironed it down for him and he is mostly satisfied with it. (I did not put the iron directly on the jacket, I put a cheesecloth towel between the iron and the jacket).

This jacket is wonderful; however, the sleeves are long. The fleece is much softer than the original Denali jacket, but the sleeves are also a tad wider. Overall excellent and meets North Face standards.
