If you have wider feet don't buy these. They are really gorgeous but made for a narrow foot, some lower heel models are wider but all in all the footbed is made very narrow. So cool, but not for my footbed.

I chose this because of the company's commitment to sustainable manufacturing and the ankle boot is very stylish in NYC this season. The wood sole was comfortable and aligned with my arch, the heel height was perfect, however, the leather is too stiff and it was uncomfortable around my ankle and in the toe box. Like some of the other reviewers said, I'm not sure if my feet are up for the challenge of breaking-in these shoes. For the price, I want the shoes to fit my foot a little more comfortably. I wear a 39 in Danskos and found the 39 in Hasbeen fit OK, but if the leather was softer, I would have liked to compare it with the next size up. Also, these boots are made in Romania, not Sweden. Maybe I have been spoiled by Danskos... I ended up going with the US-made No 6 Clog boot. I wished Zappos carried No 6 boots!

These are really cute and look well made. I like that the shoe base is wooden and that the rubber sole can be replaced when they wear down. But my right foot felt a half size too small, so much so that I checked that this was a matching pair. I do have one foot bigger than the other, but normally the fit isn’t this dramatic. Have to return.

I love these boots. I had spent the last two years buying knock off boots and cheaper Hasbeens. I love all my Hasbeens and these boots are cute with a dress or pants. I am somewhere between a 8-8½. 38s are often too small in closed-toed shoes so I went with the 39 for the boots. I definitely cannot wear them with only tights - thicker socks are needed.

While these are absolutely gorgeous and well made, the fit was off for me. The ankle opening was way too wide making my ankle look like a toothpick sticking out of a bucket. I wish these would have worked as I had my eye on them for some time. However, I can't get past how big they look on me. Had to return :(

I really wanted these to work. They are such a cute boot, but sadly it did not work out for me. The boots were too narrow for my feet and the ankle was just too stiff for me. I will just have to stick with their sandals.

I love these boots! I was worried to buy these after reading about how stiff and hard to break in these were. The first time I wore them I wore them with socks. The next time I wore them with tights. Now I can wear them with bare legs with no problem. I am resisting the urge to buy them in green. They are so stinking cute!!!!

I LOVE these boots, and lived in them almost daily through an entire winter. I have slightly wide feet and it's true that the leather is very stiff when the boots are new, but after two or three wears it started to stretch and soften, and now they're the most comfortable boots I own. The one thing marring their perfection is the lower-quality glue holding the rubber sole to the wood: It started peeling away almost immediately, which is incredibly frustrating for boots that cost as much as these do. The wood of the clog also wears away, as all wooden soles do, but the point of the rubber is to protect that from happening — not much help at all if the rubber disintegrates at such a rapid rate! Still, these are the coolest, most comfortable clog-boots available right now. I'm thinking about getting another pair to have on hand for this coming winter, since the pair I wore nonstop from October-April are really showing their age.

I am SO disappointed in these boots. I am so mad right now that I just spent all this money that I had to write this review. First of all, these aren't even made in Sweden ... they're made elsewhere!! So I paid all this money for a whole lot of false advertising. Secondly, the materials are SO cheap ... I feel like these things are made of styrofoam and cardboard. I can't imagine ever breaking them in. For this kind of money I was expecting a sturdy heel and quality leather ... FORGET IT. Finally, the fit is ABSOLUTELY not true to size. I am normally a 7, and these are at least half a size too big, but also fit really weird in the heel ... I know if I got one size below (no half sizes, of course) my heel would be slipping, and my toes would be crunched. More importantly, though, shoes running a size too big NEVER happens with a quality brand ... when I have to order a full size below, I know I'm getting a cheap, janky product. UGH!! This is my first, and LAST, pair of Swedish Hasbeens. I'll stick to my Danskos, which are at least made in the United States.

My first pair of Swedish Hasbeens and I opted to go up a size based on reviews here and elsewhere. I take a 39 in most clog brands- Dansko/Sanita, Sandgrens, Lotta from Stockholm, etc. In Sandgrens I need to size up to 40 with their mid/higher heels and I’m glad I did so here as well. My feet are on the wider end of normal width and these do not pinch or rub, and don’t require breaking in the way my Sandgrens did (brutal blisters taught me to trust in shoe stretch spray which I haven’t needed with these). I can wear thick socks comfortably and the heel still slips a little as is standard with closed-back clogs. Construction seems top notch and the color is fantastic. I swore if they ever brought back the green I’d pounce and I’m thrilled despite the hefty price tag. I hope to get years of wear out of these.

Super fun and stylish with jeans

These boots are amazing! I get compliments everywhere I go. At first, I was unsure if I would keep them because they seemed too small at first (toes touched the front). I listened to my fiance who told me that the leather will mold to my feet and they did! I will admit that it hurt a little the first couple days because the leather is hard but they quickly start to soften. I'm usually an 8 1/2-9 and got the 39. I think the 40 would have been way too big. These boots are stylish and comfortable. Since there is a platform in the front, you don't feel as though you are walking in a heel but you get the extra height. As for the price, they are worth it and this is the most expensive shoe I have ever bought. If you want them, you will not be disappointed.

SOOOOO painfully narrow. I love the look but can not enjoy them for the discomfort.

My daughter absolutely loved her Swedish Hasbeens! However, she needs size 40! We are returning size 39 and now hopefully someone will benefit from it coming back! We will be ordering the size 40 as soon as we get credit.

So cute and great in the snow. I wear them to work with dress pants and on the weekends with skinny jeans. Very comfortable and sleek for a clog.

I normally wear a 6 or 6.5 and have wider feet with low arches. I can wear the Lacy sandal in a 36 no problem, but I had to size up to a 37 in these, and they felt great out of the box. I walk A LOT and had no discomfort walking 2.5 miles to work in these. Because they are a little bigger, they fit will in the width but are not big enough to be uncomfortable. They are beautiful shoes that look great with jeans and dresses. I've had quite a few pairs of SHB (some 36, some 37) and the quality is just amazing in the boots. The only con is that this boot tends to rub on one of my ankles, so it can irritate at times.

I wanted to like these desperately but they were SO stiff, they felt awful on. There’s no way I would have been able to wear them enough to break the leather in, so I sadly returned them.

I was so excited about these boots! And then they arrived....and they were impossible to get on! Once I finally squeezed my foot in, my foot felt like it was being compressed from all sides. I usually wear an 8 and ordered a 39. And then the ankle was way too stiff. Sigh...they were so cute, but back they go.

Bye-bye gorgeous green clogs! :-( So very beautiful and so very small. Short in the length. Tight through the toe box. And way to snug in the heel. I wear a 39 in Dansko clogs so I ordered a 39 in the Hasbeens. WAY TOO SMALL! I'm fairly certain that I would need a 41 in the Hasbeens, but I'm not going to try as I fear that the ankles would be huge. Such a bummer because they're simply divine.

LOVE, but they do need to be broken in.

I’m usually a solid size 8 but I heard that these run small so I ordered a 39 and they fit perfectly. I’m not sure what type of arch support these have - they’re clogs, so they are as comfortable as I imagine clogs can be. There was almost no breaking in needed, I can walk far city distances in them and am very happy so far.

fits as expected -- be sure to buy 1/2 up from your regular size though as swedish hasbeens run a little small. these boots are AMAZING! I LOVE THEM.

Love the green color. Absolutely love the boot. Initially awkwardness if you are not familiar with the brand.

I love these. Classic, comfortable and stylish. I have to admit that you do have to break them in a little because of the thicker leather but it is well worth it. This is my fourth pair of Hasbeens and the first bootie I've ever owned. They're worth the investment and will last for years if you take care of them. I got the tan pair so make sure to spray them with a waterproofing spray to preserve them even more.
