After my second down-filled jacket started bursting from the seams with feathers, I decided to switch to a primaloft insulated jacket instead. I also realized that I needed a hood AND waterproof exterior; my down jackets had neither and as a result, just weren't as warm as they could be even though I'm just wearing it as an every day jacket and not for skiing. I found this and wasn't sure if it was going to be warm enough, but it is warm! It has a thickness that traps heat in so it won't escape, and you can't feel the wind through it either. I'm happy with the fit - not too boxy, pockets perfectly placed - and the sleeves are plenty long, even for my long arms. I got a medium because north face runs a little narrow in the hips and I like the extra room for heavier sweaters. It fits as shown on the model. I'm 5'6", 135 lbs.

Love! I was so excited to receive this jacket today. I was a bit worried about the sizing, because I know that The North Face Jackets tend to be cut narrowly. The XXL was perfect. I am 5'3" and I usually wear a size 16 (regular). The jacket is beautiful and I am sure it will be warm. It has a tailored appearance for a ski-type jacket. It was exactly what I was looking for.

This coat is a great weight but still keeps me toasty. I get a ton of compliments on the color (weimaraner brown), which is like, well a weimaraner. Like other reviewers said I wish the furry lining was in the sleeves, but maybe that would make it too hot. Good hood, stays on and fits well over hats. No wind gets through. I'm 5'3" and 110 lb and I ordered the small which fits perfectly. I can easily fit a thick sweatshirt or fleece under it with room to move, but it still doesn't feel like I'm swimming if I just wear a long sleeved shirt. It is shorter than most jackets, so I'm not sure if it would be good for skiing. I got it for dog walking. I wish it had a few more pockets, especially one on the inside. Very happy with the jacket, and Zappos was fast and friendly and the best as usual.

This was the first nice jacket I ever bought myself, and I'm still delighted with it over a year later! It is warm, comfortable, cute, water/windproof, and did I say warm!? So happy I chose this! I'm 5'5", 130# and the medium fits perfect with room for a vest or hoodie underneath.

Being in Afghanistan in the winter is tough enough, but this new jacket is keeping me warm and toasty. Love it!

Nice jacket. I bought it for my trip to Alaska next September. Yes, planning my wardobe already. The inside is cozy with the "fur" but the arms aren't. I'm not sure about the warmth factor without the "fur" in the arms. I won't take the tags off just yet.

This is a nice jacket and the weight is warm without being too bulky. It is a boxy fit. If you are ordering the pink beware that it is actually orange. The picture looks pink but the jacket is NOT pink, just very, very orange.

This is my first North Face jacket but I'm sure it will not be my last. I love the fact that it is not bulky but it keeps me warm. I have only worn it once but I'm happy to have it for the winter.

Great jacket! I love it. The only thing i would like to see is more fabric around the end of the sleeves.

Love this jacket! Super warm but light weight and stylish. My only complaint is the inside of the arms should also be insulated with that warm, fluffy material like the rest of the jacket but I still love it! Definitely recommend!

Really wanted to keep this jacket, but it was not made for curvy figures, it's basically straight from the underarms to hips. I was also disappointed that it did not have a 2-way zipper, all my other jackets of this type do.
