I love this coat. It makes me want to walk my dog no matter how cold and windy it is. It is super wind-repellent. It runs small, I got a size Small at 5'2" 110 pounds -- the XS was way too small for me, which is rare in non-petites. I also tried a Triple C, the longer 700-fill version. Always wanted a super-long down coat but this one disappointed me. Though 700-fill, it felt thinner, lighter and less wind-resistant than the Miss Metro. If the Miss Metro came in a longer version, or had a snap on and off part you could attach at the bottom of the coat like the way hood snaps on -- that would be fantastic! I have totally designed it in my mind and it rocks. Alas, it exists only in my mind, so I am sticking with the Miss Metro as is:) GOTTA change that stupid name, though. Puhlease. At least MS. Metro, right? I wholeheartedly recommend this coat. Is it flattering? Absolutely not. But is that really the point when it is 10 degrees out? I think not. It is almost fun to look like a big doofus (which happens when you wear the hood and pull it around your face.) I get a lot of smiles and waves when I am wearing it out with the dog. It might be because she is adorably funny-looking, but I think it is me and my Ms. Metro. ;)

I own the metropolis as my mom owns this one. The only real difference it seems to us is the style and “print”. Both are super warm and hold up great for 4 winters now!

Living in the Bay Area 40+ years generally all I needed was a raincoat with a zip-out wool liner for the few occasions temps got below 45 degrees - then I moved to Colorado!!! Love, love, this coat! I am 5'4" and wear a 12 - 14, size L was spot on. This coat is everything I wanted: Quality construction, nicely finished pockets, knee length, beautiful fabric (not shiny), great shade of gray (not pale), roomy in the shoulders, sleeve length perfect, not super puffy, no flashy buttons, strong, easy zippers for my arthritic hands, no feathers on my clothing when I remove the coat and a hood that doesn't fall to my nose. Feels light, but warm.

Completely unflattering, but so warm. Super practical.

I'm 5'5 and this was way too long on me. felt super light for the freezing chicago winters, but i didn't try it outside. Medium fit to size, loved the grey color, but I wanted something a bit shorter and warmer. :(

This jacket was EXACTLY what I needed! The length is perfect to keep you warm during a New York winter. Material held up really well throughout the whole season, and is super easy to wash. Gray color is flattering and practical. Love this jacket and intend to wear it for many more seasons!

Ultra light , true to size , nice fabric , soft and warm .

I usually wear an XS in all types of clothing BUT I have another NF parka (Arctic Parka) that fits great and is a size Small so I ordered a Small in the Miss Metro. Miss Metro runs smaller so I had to reorder a size down (XS).

This coat is very comfortable and warm. I live in Montreal and I only need to add an extra layer on really cold days. Also can wear to the mall without overheating. Highly recommend!

I love this jacket so much. The materials are great it's really soft comfy and cozy!. I love wearing it, it feels great on me. Super stylish also

Love this coat, but it ran large on me. I have another North Face parka which is an XL, but of course, they don't fit the same! I wear a size 12-14 in blouses. But since I like it so much, I am re-ordering in a L.

I have worn this coat for 2 winters now and it is my go to coat for all winter weather. I wear it pretty much everyday. Snow, wind, bitter cold..this coat keeps me warm. I get caught in the rain quite often because I walk to work and even though this isn't really a rain jacket, it does keep me dry and warm. My only complaint is I wish it lasted longer...the matte black is wearing off in places and starting to look very worn. I will probably buy this coat again for next year but I wish it lasted for a couple more winters.

I live in Edmonton Canada and our winters are very harsh, so I was searching for a very warm coat, a longer down-filled coat with a hood. The miss metro has a nice design and I like the navy color. I wish they had an XXS size since I feel that it runs bigger than what an XS usually is. The sleeves are a little long too. That said, it's warm and I'll be wearing it regardless.

Basically looks like a big blanket, didn't like the look. I could live with that cuz the length and the warmth was good (it's not that cold yet) but feathers were poking out of it so I've returned it.

This coat is very good for Michigan winters. Bought February 2018, so I wore it at the tail end of the winter and it worked well. Washed it to prepare for the coming winter and followed the directions exactly as they are stated on the coat. Took it out of the dryer and the filling is all balled up. Now not wearable.

I bought it for the Chicago winters and it is not warm enough for sure. I have a 600 down fill from 6 years ago that was warm and is now worn out. I wish those would be reintroduced I wish I could return it as it did not serve the purpose at all.

i have a couple of NF jackets that i love. totally worth the money. but they missed the boat on this coat. it's not warm enough. and i live in vancouver. i can't imagine wearing this in the cold prairies or in the mountains. i had to return it and buy a long puffy down jacket from MEC. i'm sad about that: i love NF quality.
