Excellent cold weather ski jacket, and warm enough for out and about. Looks great, quality feel and features, highly recommended.

Bought this for my son-in-law for his birthday. He LOVED this jacket and it fit him quite well. He is over 6 feet and I was worried about the sleeve length, but because he is slim, I purchased the Large instead of X-Large. I was happy to see that the sleeves were generously long. Others might find them too long.

I had a carhart so this is a major upgrade. Our whole family buys nothing but North Face. The,quality lasts and they fix it if it's broken! Love the recycle method. Great company!

I needed a jacket for Tahoe snowboarding and also for the occasional rains in Bay area.
I didn't want the 2 or 3 layer heavy jackets and the "shell" jacket doesn't work in Tahoe unless you add your own layers. That's where this jacket fits in perfectly. It is thick and warm enough, as well as not too heavy or bulky.

I'd been waiting for a reasonably priced high quality down filled jacket warm enough for freezing temperatures, and I found it in the Gateway Down Jacket!

I really like this jacket. It's hands down my favorite jacket. It keeps me warm in cold weather, while being a lot lighter and less bulky than my equivalent length parka. It also makes for a great rain jacket when the outside temperature is 50 deg F or below. I'm impressed with how well thought out the jacket design is, from the snow skirt to the pockets to the pull string cords. It's also very good in the wind, although I haven't mastered how to keep the hood from lifting up when I have my hands full and can't zip it up all the way due to my work lanyard. I definitely recommend this jacket.

This is one of the best down jackets I've own. It's not as heavy as parkas but still pretty warm and comfortable. Works well in Chicago's sub-zero degree weather. Highly recommended.

Great jacket. What I really like about the jacket is that it's incredibly warm without being heavy or restrictive. I wore it during the recent polar vortex and was comfortable.

Great down jacket! Had both criteria I wanted: the warmth of down, with the flexibility and less bulky size of other down coats.
