Opening was way too small. I mean size was ok ONCE I got my foot in. Still a little tight though. This was second pair I ordered. First ones fit like a glove! Sadly returning these.

This shoe did not match up with the Rockport leader bike 2 shoe I bought at the same time. The size felt tight the shoe felt heavier which makes might feet feel tired. The biggest issue was the fit. They did not fit my arch or shoe size. I instead opted for the Rockport Leader 2 shoe

The styling is fine but the toes are a bit too round and the leather is a bit too shiny for my taste. The shoes fit well and are quite comfortable as soon as I slip into them...except that they are incredibly hot. If your feet are often cold, buy these shoes. If not, consider them for winter but never for summer!

These are very well made shoes and would have been suitable for both smart and less smart events. The width of the sole corresponds to my previous shoes but the amount of leather across the widest point is not generous and the hole through which one has to insert one's foot was small and tight so I had to force my foot through with a shoe horn to help. This was not improved much with a thin sock. The hole size might give with wearing but the leather is not sufficient for a wide foot and would not be sufficient to adapt over time with use. As a consequence, they fitted lengthwise but not by width and I have had to return them.

I'm usually very happy with shoes I purchase from Zappos; however, this pair just didn't do it for me. I've never had to order wide styles before; however, I probably should have with these shoes. Another disappointing thing about these shoes is the backing where the heel of my foot sits is already starting to fray...not the greatest quality.

I’ve been getting these same exact shoes for the past 12 years getting a new pair every 4 years. I’ve always ordered the same size. This year my usual size is too small and too narrow even though I ordered extra wides. I tried a 1/2 size bigger and that size is too big but the width seemed just right. Something has changed about the sizing now I don’t think I can wear these shoes anymore. I have to order about 1 full size smaller than what I would for my sneakers, as an FYI.

The opening where foot enters shoe is way too small. Also the elastic is so small (short) that it does not stretch enough to get foot into shoe easily. I will not struggle to get on a pair of shoes. I have been wearing loafers for 50 years. THESE ARE JUST MADE WRONG!!

Longer than I expect for a size 7, too much room past my toes. Narrower than expected, and wide sizes not available at this time. Very tough to get my foot in the through the hole even with thin socks; would be impossible with most of my socks. Not sure a wide would have a better foot hole. A nice looking shoe in general, but a bit dressier than I was expecting.

Ordered 4e XW and could not even put it on. Very narrow.

If you have exceptionally wide feet like I do then these are not the shoes for you. I could not get my foot into the shoe because the opening was too narrow. I regularly wear a different style of Rockports in 4E width.

Ordered 10.5 EE(W). These "slip on" shoes were anything but. I could barely squeeze my feet into the shoes. I was pleased with the excellent customer service and free return shipping.

Very nice looking, extremely comfortable, fell apart after 2 months.

These handsome shoes had odd rub points at the heels and toes, and required a lot of moleskin patches, extra insole padding and strategic trimming of stray stitches before they stopped tearing up my feet. Once those issues were sorted I walked many comfortable miles in them. Seven months on, though, the heels have worn completely through. After a previous pair of Rockports that were insanely comfortable out of the box, and lasted for years, this pair was a big disappointment.

very difficult to slide on

Squeaking was unacceptable. Walking in interior spaces was loud and annoying. Shoes were returned.

I tried really hard to like these shoes, but they are too stiff and just not comfortable. So I found myself avoiding them. I'm sending them back.
