Comfortable, light-weight, and dressy enough to wear in the winter with khakis. My son wears this boot for both boy scout camping and to school where he has to wear a uniform and dress shoes. They are classy enough that they go with his uniform and light-weight enough that he can keep them on all day and be comfortable. He also wore them for a weekend camping where it rained the whole weekend while they were outside, The rain did get into the boot from the pants leg, but if he had not spent hours in a driving rain, I believe his feet would have stayed completely dry. Even with the driving rain and walking through woods and fields, his feet were only slightly damp (from dripping down his pants leg into the boot). A great boot. This is the second pair I bought and my husband also wants a pair for work.

I purchased this boot to be an everyday boot. I wanted something that looked nice and would keep my feet nice and warm. So far this boot has lived up to what I wanted it for. These are comfortable boots that I can wear all day long in comfort. They are lightweight and have a good deal of flex to them. I had some rubbing issues in a couple of spots while they were breaking in but now they are fine. These boots are not what I would call rugged. If you work on a construction site or are planning on doing a lot of hiking or hunting in the outdoors, I would recommend looking for a different boot. If you want a light duty boot that is comfortable to wear all day and looks nice then these might be for you. These boots say they are water resistant and so far my feet have not gotten wet even in heavy downpours. I would not go sloshing through mud or water puddles though since that just seems like asking for cold wet feet. As of now I would recommend these boots to others, just be mindful of what types of activity you are buying them for.

My son loved these boots but they run a little short. He's still a growing boy and I ordered a size 13 which usually leaves a bit of room. These were right on the big toe with no wiggle. Too bad. He really dug them and they are great looking to "boot." Get it?

The fit of the boot was great, comfy and considerably light for a boot. Lack of styling overall. They feel similar to hi top DC shoes. Very good.

Very comfortable and good looking boot. Surprised by how water resistant they were on my hike. Casual and good-looking yet workable and comfortable.

Upon opening the box, I was surprised to see how these boots were not as big and bulky as I was afraid they might be. I would compare them to a skate shoe, but one that has been built upwards and given a more rugged sole. They feel very nice, and arent heavy whatsoever. The size 10.5 that I ordered feels a bit tight width wise, but I usually have to break in all shoes that I buy. They look very good with bootcut style jeans, and do not look bulky like in the demo video. Time will tell how these last this winter, but I am very satisfied for now!

Love them BUT after only wearing a couple times the top seam has turned whote although they are suppose to be water proof other than that they look and feel great.

The only gripe I have against this boot is that it started to fall apart after about a week of everyday use. The leather on the toe began to separate from the outer top cap and the rubber on the bottom cracked entirely across both soles. But, honestly, it's the only gripe I have. Totally comfy boot with awesome traction and totally warm. Probably just a defective pair.

I've had these boots for just over a year and they have not held up. My experience has actually been with two pairs. The first pair I ordered started separating between the layers of the sole within a week. I sent that pair back as defective and the second pair lasted maybe 4 months before the same thing started happening. The photos below are from now, 13 months into the second pair. As you can see the sole of the left shoe has started separating from the shoe itself as well as the other layers. The sole of the right shoe straight up cracked in half and a large chunk just came out of the sole of the heel. I haven't worked these boots very hard. They just failed. It's no wonder that DC doesn't offer them anymore. This is a classic case of "caveat emptor". Latin for "let the buyer beware". I had two pairs of Timberland Chocuroa's before this. I would highly recommend that boot and brand over this one.
I'd also recommend:
Timberland

Probably the worst boot that I have ever bought. Wore in light snow for a few days and the sole on the toe was starting to fall off. Ended up getting a replacement pair and the same thing happened but even quicker. Fits great. Fairly comfortable. Horrible quality.

Zappos asked for a review...here goes: Single worst boot I've ever owned. I only blame myself for going 'cheaper'. I bought the boot mainly for motorcycle riding. Within one weekend the sole on the left toe was coming off, and the stitching on the right boot was tearing (from rubbing against the back break). This happened within TWO days of light riding around town. Do yourself a favor and buy a real boot from Timberland. More money, but 100% worth it.
