Great boots, stylish, different, unusual. Excellent quality one comes to expect from the Frye company. I got the distressed black, as I'm not much of a brown-wearing person. They were a tad too distressed for my tastes, so applying a touch of mink oil did the trick. They blackened right up, and are now ready for inclement weather, to boot!

These boots are absolutely amazing! I love the Frye brand. I almost didn't get them because of the price but they are so worth it. They are even better looking in person.

Love these boots! I feel like they were made for me! I had to order a half size up, because my size wasn't available, which is okay, but I'll have to wear big socks with these boots. So I would say that they are true to size. Also very comfortable, with a nice cushiony insole and they are easy to pull on. I have an about average size calf, and these are easy to slip on over skinny jeans. Love them!

I was flabbergasted at Frye's unbelievably high quality when these boots arrived, although I shouldn't have been, since I have the harness 12R and they are wonderful quality too. I also have dealt with Frye's repairs (for a much older pair) and the Frye Company and they have always given me incredible service (like Zappos!). Anyway, I found these boots here: http://www.squidoo.com/frye, read the funny blurbs and then HAD TO HAVE THEM. Bought them from Zappos. I am so glad I did - they fit great, my usual size 8 fitted me perfectly, just a little wiggle room which I love. I'm a perfect 7.5 in heels, but in boots I like a bit more room of course. I got the brown, never wear black for some reason! They're still badass as all get out, and go with everything! Skinny jeans are super in them, like the other reviewer said - they're easy to tuck in, but not too loose! (I have probably average width calves).

I have coveted these boots for several years. I purchased the shorter version in black a year or so ago and have been fairly happy with them. But, these babies have been the ones I've truly longed to own. I guess I'm the exception to the rule, though, as my usual boot size of 9.5 has always been too tight with Frye boots. I'm not sure why; all my other Fryes are 9.5 and I don't wear them very often because they end up feeling too tight after wearing them. Weird, I know, that should be the opposite effect but for Frye boots and my feet, it isn't. I own a ton of Old Gringos in 9.5 and never have this issue. At any rate, I finally decided to purchase these and ordered a 10 to see if they offered a more comfortable fit. HUZZAH! Success! So, if you have feet like mine when it comes to Frye boots, try ordering a half size up. You may just find your boot nirvana! ;) P.S. As always, Zappos service is top notch! Love Zappos! In fact, I probably love them way too much! ;)

These boots are simply beyond GREAT! The fit is perfect and the quality is OUTSTANDING!

Very well made boot, true to size with wiggle room. I am an 8.5-9 in Frye, and the 8.5 fit me perfect. I wore these right out of the box with no issues the first time. I rubbed them down with mink oil to protect them which made the boot darker only for a a couple of hours then the original distressed look was back. I get compliments wherever I go with these fabulous boots. The only con is the price as you can see...and I will be darn sure I get my use out of these to make up for the extremely high price. 5 stars all around.

All I can say is OMG! These are the sassiest boots I've ever owned. Yes, they are expensive and yes, I had to scrimp and save to get them but the minute I saw them in the box I felt like I hit the Lotto. After doing my "happy, happy, joy, joy" dance I put them. They felt like I had worn them for years. If you didn't get them already, you will have trouble finding them.

I like the Jenna style Frye boot in general. This one is no different! I love how much lighter this one is in comparison to the disc tall. Everything about the boot was as expected. LOVE THESE BOOTS!

Awesome boots! Frye boots are great anyway, true classics, but the addition of the skull motif and studs is magical! Fun, funky, cool laid back fashion that will never go out of style. Fit is great. Love these!

These boots are so comfortable, I absolutely love them. The calf size is perfect not too tight and not too loose. They are totally worth the money.

Shut the front door and call me Frye Crazy! These Jenna Skull Stud Talls have to be the coolest boot Frye has ever made! I have 7 pair of Fryes and adore them because they are always top notch -- gorgeous leather, great fit, guaranteed to last forever. But these babies? Well, I have died and gone to Frye Heaven. I ordered a 10, which ended up to be perfect with a medium thick sock. There's room to tuck in my slim jeans, but not too much room. I wavered between the black and the brown, and ended up going for black. So cool. Slightly distressed, fabulous edgy, and all the better to show off the skull on the side. Although I seldom wear shorts, these boots would most definitely rock with shorts too. I'm not a dress/skirt kind of gal, but I imagine a blue jean skirt in simple lines would work as well. Not sure how I got so lucky as to snarf up the last pair before Frye upped their price -- by a lot! They probably quickly got wind of how fast these babies were selling out and had to up production to keep up with demand, and that sadly but always increases the price. All this being said, I will probably end up buying one more pair of Fryes before Christmas. I have a gazillion Cowgirl boots by Old Gringo & Stetson, incredibly cute & warm Sorel boots, and rockin' Uggs, which I could not live without. But let me tell you, Frye is always on the cutting edge of fashion and comfort and are fast becoming a favorite with this picky cowgirl. Buy these boots, or you will kick yourself for missing out. I saw this boot and had to have it. Fit is true to size with good arch support. I wear mine with skinny jeans, capri's, shorts and sweats. I bought the black it goes with everything. I love them.

This would have been my first pair of Fryes, so I really wanted to love these. I get that they're supposed to look distressed, but I think that the beat-up looking leather detracts attention from the studs, which are what motivated me to make such an extravagant purchase in the first place. Maybe they would be OK if they were priced comparably to the other styles, but I can't fathom keeping a pair of boots that are "just OK".
