I love this boot...I love the style, fits perfectly for my narrow foot and it's so well made, you can tell these boots would last and a lot....but but but...oh dear there has to be a 'but'!....the look of the leather is just too 'distressed' for me. The boot fits well and seems comfortable (walking around the house) but the look is just too beaten up and the leather seriously looks like it has been taken to with a hammer. If this is the look you are going for then this is a great boot for you but for me I was looking for this EXACT boot style but with a more smoother and refined finish to the leather. Sadly, I am returning. Frye...please make some more mid calf boots in this style!! but not in the distressed leather....

BUMMER! This particular Frye boot is not an easy fit. tried one size down and my regular size and both were too small.

I thought these were some of the best looking Frye boots ever and wanted them to fit so badly! Sadly, as so many other people said in their reviews, they were really narrow. Frye boots take forever to break in and I just didn't want to chance it that they wouldn't stretch enough to be comfortable, so back they go.

Friends, I should have listened to the reviews. I wear a size 6 in every shoe, and sometimes a 5.5. I got a 6 in this and it runs super small. Also the leather is very stiff, and so even if the fit felt good, there's clearly going to be a uncomfortable break-in period. Awesome style, though, of course. Ended up sending them back. :/

I really wanted these boots to work - I tried 1/2 and whole size larger than my usual. 1/2 size was too small and whole size was too large. Also, the leather was stiff and rubbed my ankle and heel. I love the way they look but not comfortable at all. So disappointed!

I loved the look of these online and I like how they look on my feet as well. However, I was disappointed with the stiffness of the leather. They are my least comfortable pair of Frye's. When I wear them, my ankle and little toes are rubbed raw.

Not sure why reviews talked about problem with arch or having to get true fit. The one boot fits perfectly and the other one was pinching my fourth toe. I really don't want to send them back so I will put a bandage on that toe until the boot stretch out. The boot overall really does not warrant the price tag, however, and the look is quite different than that on the site.

This is a nice looking boot. However, for the price, I feel like it isn't versatile enough. It has a seriously distressed appearance. While I liked it, I couldn't see it as an "everywhere" boot. Also, it was horribly uncomfortable. I normally take a 8.5 in Frye and a 9 in running shoes. I would have sized up to a 9.5, although then I would probably have looked like a hobbit. It was a nice boot, but for the cost I want perfect. Also, the leather felt much cheaper/thinner/stiffer than some of the other Fryes I have or have tried.

Loved this boot online so I splurged and was pretty disappointed when I received them! They were were very uncomfortable - too tight in the toe area on one foot. They were also really stiff. Maybe they need to be broken in but for this cost, I was not willing to test that out. I've sent these back.

This boot is really perfect in terms of color and style. Unfortunately, it's incredibly stiff and runs very narrow. I wish I could keep it but for the price am confident that I can do better! Try try again!

I was really saddened with the style, I saved and waited almost two years to order these boots thinking they would be the one. When I got them everything was almost perfect - except for the toes. It was as if these really cool motorcycle/almost engineer boots were for some reason paired with dress boot toes. They are much too pointed for the boot style. Also a bit polished considering the other leather texture. I said nothing of my concerns and tried them on for two friends, one who right away said "Oh, it is really too bad about the toes of those though."

Cool boots - but for the price the leather is super thick and stiff, almost rigid, and they sort of bent into my ankle painfully. I think it would take a long, long time to break these in and again, at this price, I expect comfort from the first try on. I wanted to love them but back they go.

These would have been nice boots, but I felt the factory-applied distressed look was overkill. They looked like they were beat to death and dried up. They did not look like the photo. Too fake looking for the price. They're going back.

I bought this boots after saving the whole summer for them. After three months of wearing them the sole of the boot got detached from the boot, it crawled wide open. Also, I was caught in the rain one day wearing them and my feet were soaking in water after 10 minutes. I sent and email to their customers service and got no answer. I am so disappointed!

Who has feet that thin? I have normal feet, size 6 1/2. I ordered up a size so I could wear warm socks.Even with very thin socks I could not even gt these boots on. They are very thin at the arch, or bottom of the zipper area. I have never paid this much for boots, but they looked so cute and they are Frye's for Pete sake. I expected more.
