I really wanted to love these flats because for one thing, they are Fryes, for another they are simple and the right style to wear on the weekends or to work. They are just too narrow and I do not have wide feet. I have worn them over the past few months since I purchased them hoping that the leather would stretch to a more comfortable width, however they have not stretched enough. The narrowness makes my feet hurt by the end of the day. The quality is great, just not the width.

These appear to be nice shoes - the leather is soft and supple. My feet tend to run narrower, but I do not wear narrow shoes. Certain brands just fit a little narrower and work better for me. These shoes are too wide. I ordered half a size up (which is a perfect idea for flats) and the length is perfect.
I'd also recommend:
Born's flat is less stylish, but a better fit.

These flats required a 1 week break in period. It was a painful week, filled with bloody blisters, but once my blisters healed, these became very comfortable. I've only had them for 1 month (worn probably 15 times) and the plastic heel is already wearing. I can tell that they won't last longer than a season. Quality wise Frye should be embarrassed to produce such a shoe, nothing like my Frye boots. These aren't worth the price.

I have somewhat wide feet. I ordered an 8.5 in the Black Antique Soft Vintage color. The shoe material looked more like leather than in the pictures -- it was definitely true to color and shape, but it looked more like it had the "worn weathered" texture that other Frye shoes have. The toe box was just a little too snug for my liking, but it didn't show toe cleavage. What was unusual was how narrow the footbed was in the middle and heel of the shoe -- it had to be narrower than the width of my foot in those places. I don't think that sizing up would help, so they had to go back.

Wanted to keep these but we're too tight and narrow. The size 7.5 was too big and the 7 was too small. Guess Frye shoes aren't meant for my feet (I have narrow feet and can usually wear a 7 if don't fit my usual 7.5).

Why, oh why, do I keep trying Frye? Several years ago I bought a pair of Frye boots that I loved for fit and comfort. Every pair that I've bought since has gone back to Zappos. I bought this pair of Frye flats and two other pair of Frye ballet flats in the dark brown soft antique vintage color because the color shown in photos is a deep, rich red brown. I figured I'd keep the pair that fit best and was most comfortable. All three pair are going back. None of the three styles is as red as they appear in photos. Sizing with Frye is inconsistent. I bought all three ballet flat styles in a size 7.5. Of the three pair that I bought, one felt half size too small, one felt a half size too large, and this pair felt true to size. But again, the color isn't what I had hoped for.

While I love Frye boots, I've had trouble with the shoes. Inconsistently sized. Sometimes poor quality. These were too small. The Regina flats were too big. This try was my last.

Please Frye - standardize your sizing. Love the shoe, but it was huge! Disappointing, so it's going back.
