The hard plastic triangle that all the straps attach to is in a very uncomfortable spot. No amount of breaking in would soften it. This makes the sandals unwearable.

As Teva has grown, quality has suffered. My first pair of Universals fell apart after 15 months. The replacement pair came apart after 7 months. The soles delaminated from the uppers in both cases. FYI, the sandals were worn 4-5 hours each week...light usage.
After being a loyal Teva wearer for 30+ years, I have turned to the competition. Previous sandals lasted for years not months. The current offerings are a sad excuse for the amazing shoes that Doug Otto created.

If the straps accidentally touch the Velcro, the material pulls out a little and gets fuzzy. Happened second time I wore them when I crossed my feet. Never had this problem with other material in Texas

I ordered the sandals and was very disappointed in the footbeds that were very uncomfortable for me . I have ordered Teva sandals before & was very pleased with the product. This new line were not the same. Had to send them back. Very disappointed !

On the water, Hiking. It just was not like the original so we glued the sole on the old pair and will continue to use them. The [air is a good 15 to 20 years old!
Thin, no support. awful.

Cheap footpad. No better than 99 cent flip-flops!
Returned product.

I had Teva a few years ago and expected it to be the same, especially since the top was leather. I expected a shoe built for a woman on the go. I use these sandals for just about everything but not this time. The sole was so cheap and thin and the leather would never stand up like it did in years past. Not sure what happened but I returned them. I need a rugged sandal that is worth the price - which I'm willing to pay if the quality is there and it wasn't there this time.

I returned these shoes. Style was cute, but straps were a big problem for me.

Although a very good looking sandal, I found the bed of the sandal to be slippery. Tightening the straps did not prevent my feet from sliding forward out of the sandal. I had to return them.
Despite the low rating for the sandal itself, I give 5 stars to Teva for their very easy and convenient return policy!

These are at least a whole size too big, and my son says they feel like he is wearing "cheap flip flops". Not comfortable for him.

The front buckle was in an awkward spot. It dug into my pinkie toe. At first I thought maybe I had to break them in, so I kept wearing them. After 4 days I almost couldn't walk an inch in them. In fact, I'd like to send them back for a refund. I've worn tea flip flops for years and love them, so I was originally excited about the universals. Apparently they are not designed for universal fitting of all foot shapes.

Bought my first Teva's nine years ago, and have worn them every summer since. Well, finally they wore out, and I decided to get some more.
I am VERY disappointed with the new pair. The quality of the product is very poor...it feels as though I bought a knock-off, cheaper quality pair of Teva's. Only thing is...they were NOT cheap!

I purchased them because I work at a summer camp requiring that we wear sandals with a back strap. They are truly much too wide and I would have to cut the velcrow down a few inches for them to get close to fitting. I'm pretty disappointed with the low quality of the bottom of the sandal. I tripped once while wearing them
and now the toe of the shoe is all scratched up.

I use this product every day to walk around outside, as part of my work uniform. It took less than three weeks for the sole to start detaching from the shoe. The triangular holder on the straps makes it very uncomfortable, and chafes very easily. The strap that goes across the toe line always causes my big toes to hurt or lose feeling, and the shoe is simply uncomfortable. The worst part for me, is that my job requires that I am often around water, and these sandals have no traction. I wanted these shoes to work out and be comfortable, but they hurt more and more every time I put them on.

I would have loved these shoes if they hadn't cheaped out and not made the straps too short. There is barely enough straps to get to the Velcro part. Your foot would have to incredibly flat for these to fit right. The pictures on their website show the strap covering your foot completely but in truth it barely covers and my feet are small.

The overall product quality was much lower than I expected, given the price. The sole felt very flimsy and offered no arch support at all. It felt like I was wearing a pair of flip flops with buckle straps.

These are not substantial shoes. I ordered them for my 11 year old with huge feet. I usually get the kids teas which are way better priced. They last all summer and are super versatile. The men's version of the children's teas that I usually get are considerably more expensive. Way too expensive for an 11 year old, so I got these instead. That was a big mistake. But they are cheap.

The sandals you sent are sleazy and unwearable, and are most definitely NOT the original Teva sandals. The original Teva sandals and shoes were well-made sport/water shoes and sandals designed to provide safety and comfort in water sports. My most current sandals, which I had hoped to replace with a comparable pair, have heel cups, arch support, adjustable heel straps, and a serious sole.
I wonder if you are a counterfeit imposter - what you sent me bears virtually no relationship to the many previous Teva sandals I've loved in the past.
