The soles feel softer than the originals. I was trying to get away from the squishy softness of the Terradactyls. Stiffness is prefereable for pedalling a bike.

These are the third pair that I have owned, so you know I must like them. And I do, for daily wear around the house, to the store, etc. However, I really needed a shoe that I could wear in water, in creeks, in mud, rinse them off with the hose from working in the garden. And these are NOT made for that purpose. The sole is NOT one piece. It is made of three pieces and the bottom piece will separate from the upper layers after use in water. I wish it were not the case, but it is. I thought the first pair might just be an odd-ball so I bought the second pair hoping the sole would stay together. It didn't. The third pair I have bought just for daily wear outside of the water. For water work, I have bought an actual pair of 'water shoes' that have a one-piece molded sole.

These shoes are great! I wear them everywhere, from lifting weights at the gym to shopping at the mall. They are good because they are comfortable and provide support without being confining. My only caveat is that the run on the small side of average (I wear anything from a 7 at the smallest to an 8 1/2 at the largest). I got a 7 and they fit OK with no room to spare. I have very skinny ankles so the ankle straps are a little long, but the shoes stay comfortably on my feet so I guess I can't complain. I would definitely recommend these--reasonable price for a simple, practical sandal.

I've waited 20 years for Teva to reintroduce the original formula that I loved so much. I've not cared for recent offerings, some of which look like the sole from a moon-boot with sandal straps attached and which are so heavy as to defeat the purpose of sandals. I LOVED my original Tevas and went through a few pairs in high school/college, only to watch them fade. Now they're back and I'm quite pleased. I LOVE how light they are! I've got one pair, and I'm hoping to see the adjustable heel-strap return as well as perhaps some other colors. In short: good job Teva, and don't discontinue these again!

Time will tell how the strap fabric holds up, but for now these are great!

This is a great all around everyday shoe. I wear it with everything, including skirts and dresses. I walk a lot and I never get blisters with these babies. My only con is that i have wide feet and my pinky toe just barely comes out of the strapping. A 7 and a half would probably correct that however a size 8 would be too big.

I have wanted for Teva to recreate these sandals for a long time. These are very close but the most notable difference between the true originals is that the heel strap is not adjustable. The footbed is like the originals but it doesn't have a lot of arch support or padding. So, if that is a major concern, I would suggest going to the Hurricanes. Overall a thumbs up.

I took off stars because I cannot find half sizes for this style! Size 7 is too long and size 6 is too narrow on the toes. I enjoyed hiking on flatter trails with the larger size, but it does not work for steeper hills. If the back strap was adjustable, I could have made these work.

The footpads were much firmer than prior. Not soft and spongy as all had been prior. And even my prior ones, though soft, had the bottoms gradually losing connection and separating. What has happened to the brand I had hoped to live with forever?

The good: - Really wanted to like these. As a shoe, super comfortable out of the box I felt like I could walk forever in them. The bad: - The product description claimed "3-way adjustment," but as far as I can tell, there's only 2: the strap beneath your toes and the one on top of your ankle. - Colors were too faded for my taste.

The shoes were much lower quality than I expected based on prior year's purchases in a store. They will suffice for around the house but not for any long walking.

Used this for the rocky beaches. It's nice to be adjustable and going between water and land, but it feels like I'd get blisters if I wore too long or far, especially on my pinky toe on the outside of the foot. I have wide feet, so while the foot bed seems ok, I wonder if the odd pressure is due to my foot shape.

The front strap seems to edge into my skin, which is painful. I had to stop wearing these sandals after a few days for that reason. Otherwise, they fit well and had good traction.

I like them but they aren't as comfortable as my other ones. For some reason the right shoe flips in the front from time to time.

I bought this pair to replace another Teva sandal I had had for many many years until the sole began to fall Apart. Unfortunately, the cross strap on my left footy gave me a blister and regardless of whether I tightened or loosened it, it didn't seem to help. Also, after Wearing them in the water, The sandals seemed to retain the water and take forever to dry

I like these sandals I bought the 1st original back in 1989. Lasted 25 years. These aren’t the same so they’re really not original. The think I dislike the most is the lack of heel strap adjustment. It’s a fixed strap and shouldn’t be. Another thing that makes it not close to the original. Normally wear a size 11. The 10 was plenty long.

I loved the style and colors, however, the material was very stiff and uncomfortable. I also have a bunion on my right foot and the strap was painful. I will be returning them.

The original universal sandal is not my favorite but I really wanted a solid red and it was the only way I could get it. The red color is a little disappointing due to pinkish hue. I wanted the cherry red I saw on the website. My favorite shoe is the all day hiking sandal that I wish came in more solid colors.

Kinda regret buying these specific ones now looking at some of the other ones that seem more sturdy if I spent 20 more bucks on another pair might not feel the same but they are okay and comfy so hopefully they last kinda seems like rubber flip flops with straps

Every time I put these sandals on, or take them off, I have the same big problem. The TEVA tag is right next to the Velcro strap tab to open the strap. I don't want to bend my foot all the way up to my eyes to find the strap tab. I don't want to lower my head to my feet to do that either. I want to grab that strap tab easily to open it without looking down at it. As-is I'm constantly grabbing that TEVA tag and pulling on it to no avail. Come on people! NEVER put a tab and a tag in the same place! Never never never!!!!! There are lots of other places to put that TEVA tag where it doesn't interfere with anything. Just Do It!
