I had to alter the straps and add material to make the straps long enough. Fortunately, I have the skills to do that so that it cannot be seen and no one would guess that they had been altered. Other than that, I like them.

I loved this sandalsuntil two weeks into wearing them I noticed that the sole of the heel on the right sandal was coming away from the rest of the shoe. For the price of the sandals, I expected a higher quality.

There are not enough adjustment points and the padding under the straps is too thin
I have my original Tivas with construction cement holding on the soles. Still comfortable after all these years

I have always thought that this was a great invention in the world of footwear. Had them since 1992.
The previous Teva sandals I had, Torin M's, had arch support and contour and worked well for me to do a bit of walking in. That model was no longer available so I purchased Original Universals. The sole of this model is completely flat, which sometimes results in catching the front on something and tripping. Also, right and left are not mirror image fit with the straps so I am further forward with my right foot. Overall I am disappointed with these new Tevas.

Thin and flexible, if that's what you are going for

These sandals are ok for the sale price. Won't wear them all day long, probably around the house since they are not very comfortable and doesn't have an arch support.

I was looking for a comfortable, everyday sandal. I was advised Tevas were a perfect choice so I bought the originals. It feels like they have no sole support and just wouldn't be great for long treks. They are cute though.

The footbed texture is too course feeling for my liking and I want to wear them barefooted.
The strap across my little toes feels out of place.
I'll use them at the pool.

I've had several pairs of Teva sandals over the years, but this is my least favorite pair so far. While they fit well and are comfortable, the soles do not offer much traction and are very flimsy, and I've managed to shred them much quicker than my older pairs. I do not need or want the newer styles with the arch support, but I dearly miss the grip and traction my old sandals offered.

I am not really happy with these shoes. I should have know better than to order without seeing them. I have had several pairs of Teva's, but these are very stiff and run larger than the ones I had previously

I really want to love them, after 15 days in Hawaii they are coming apart on the sole. :(

Returned because the arches were very high. May have compacted to fit my foot with time but initially didn't feel right.

I REALLY wish the heel strap was adjustable!!! That's my biggest critique. One shoe came with longer straps than the other, but I don't really mind that. I also really wish the toe strap was moved up about a centimeter, but that's just me. I was impressed with how much more durable the bottom sole feels than it looks in the pictures. I was glad they offer some smaller sizes with fun patterns as well.

The buckle next to the pinky toe is in a really bad position. It rubs against my toe and irritates it. I wish I were in a different location because otherwise the shoes are comfortable and great for the outdoors

Very comfortable sandal. Unfortunately the sole has come off on the last 2 pairs. I used gorilla glue and it worked for a while. I will try again but probable will buy a new pair.

Wanted to love these, but they're not a fit. I'm normally a 6.5, I bought a 6. First, they are way too long in the toe bed, leaving a good inch above my toes (which you can see is the case for most if you look at photos). They're not only too long despite sizing down, but also too narrow for my wide feet. Being Teva sandals, you would think they would be comfy for a wider foot, but not the case. They squish my pinky toe like crazy, it's painful. I kept them for a trip out of necessity, otherwise I would have 100% returned.

Previous Tera sandals had a thicker sole; this one is thin and hard. Not as comfortable as my other Tera sandals of the same model.

I've been wearing flip flops since forever (and I'm only 18) and really only wear shoes when I absolutely need to (like when closed toed shoes are required). My dad got me to try on these Tevas so I have something more secure on my feet for when I go biking or hiking, and I totally love them! I wish I had tried these on sooner. So supportive and comfy. Now they have replaced my flip flops as my go to everyday footwear. Love 'em!

I have another 3 year old pair that feel better, perhaps due to wear. The left front of the shoe seems a bit longer and I've tripped because of that on more than one occasion. Light and comfortable otherwise.

Not very comfy and conforming to foot but still good for paddleboarding/water sports. I'd struggle to hike in these.

I don't think these are actually a replica of the original river sandal, which I purchased many, many years ago. I purchased that sandal and appreciated its arch support. This newer version seems to have no arch support whatsoever with a very flat footbed. In addition, I've noticed among sandals and shoes in general that, as they get wider and wider and expect the straps or ties to make it fit for a narrow foot, even if they have "arch support", the shoe is too wide to provide me with any significant support. Hate that. Other than that, the sandal is fine - always liked Teva - but not sure if I would purchase again because I need a flexible arch support.

Wore these for an AZ trip. After a week I felt something odd and the rear sole on both pairs were not glued. I assume this was a fluke since I've had good luck before. Hopefully the quality isn't going down. I just super glued them and trucked on. Still comfortable.

They are ok and I'm still going to wear them. The strap lays in a place that rubs on my little toes, and overall the sandal is not as supportive as other Tevas I've gotten. I'm disappointed because they were my go-to sandal brand.
