These are bloody brilliant shoes! I bought the orange/grey ones and have received more compliments and questions than ever before. They are my first high tops so I had a slight adjustment period of the best way to put them on. You have to be careful to get the tongue flat otherwise it rubs against your foot. They really showed their stuff when I went out for a long walk in 2-3" of partially melted snow: feet stayed dry, good traction, and absolutely stylish! Like a previous review said, I did not want to leave a review as to be more rare on the streets but at the same time these are some wicked Converse!

My son was absolutely pleased with his new Converses. Zappos' service could not be better. This pair of shoes was a go, but your free shipping policy makes shopping online a win-win experience, even in the case of a return. Thank you very much!

I gave up on my Chucks because they are flat/unsupportive and because they seem to fall apart quicker than they used to. I didn't realize these were "weatherized" (didn't read it) but bought them because of the color. They are really cool looking. At first they were a little stiff/uncomfortable (compared to the regular ones) but after wearing them a few hours they were fine. My old canvas Chucks are 7.5 womens. Not sure why when every other shoe I have is an 8 or 8.5. I bought these in an 8.5 and put a pair of black super feet in them for arch support. It's the perfect solution. The inserts made them feel more snug than I'm used to, but I didn't notice after having them on for a bit.

First off, I love Converse! I have several pairs of the All Star Ox and I am always a 5½ Men/7½ Women, but for some reason, the 7½ Women was just a bit snug on these and I went up to the 8 Women (6 Men). It fit perfectly! The shoes are made of leather and both the footbed and area around the ankle are padded. They are perfect for winter and will be great in the wet weather due to the fact that they are leather and they have a more rugged tread than the classic Ox. Of course, Zappos made the return easy!

I liked the look of this shoe and it is very comfortable to walk in, however one thing in particular drives me crazy! The tongues slip so far to the outer side of my foot I can't even see them and I have to constantly adjust them! There is no lace guide on the tongues which I see as a flaw on a boot-style shoe. I would probably not have bought them if I knew this would happen.

I really like these leather City Hikers for winter use. I gave 4 stars only because of the missing tongue tabs. I love my canvas Converse and PF Flyers for the summer, but the canvas Converse have very thin padding on the insole, and the soles are pretty thin too. (In canvas, the PF Flyers have better padded insoles than the Converse.) These leather City Hikers have much better padded insoles and thicker, beefier rubber soles with more grip for snow, ice or mud. The leather seems to be good quality and after wearing a couple times, is supple. Only criticisms are the tongue does not have the sewn on tab or slits for the laces, so the tongue slides off to the side. I cut my own slits in the tongues with a knife and now the tongues stay in place. Converse should fix this issue to make the shoe perfect. The laces are a bit flimsy too, could be thicker. I think Converse sizes up a bit, which is good for me, as my foot is wide - I'm able to wear my regular size (13) in a medium width.

As far as comfort goes, these are perfect, especially for winter in Iowa. My feet are warm and toasty. The only downside is the tongue slides to the side of the shoe.

I love the style of these yet I have one major complaint. When I walk they squeak and nobody likes that. They feel like they fit true to size so I am not sure why they squeak.

Waterproof Converse, hell yes. Take a minute to break in. If I wear them too long/walk to far they start to rub on my ankle they probably won't always do that.

I really like the look of these and that's why I bought them. They feel great and look great. My only BIG complaint is that when I walk they squeak or squawk or I guess sometimes make farting noises. That kinda sucks so I almost find myself walking different to try to avoid this. I walk heel toe so maybe someone with a different stride this would not happen.

Excellent boot. Only complaint is that one metal eyelet snapped off after less than two weeks of ownership. I've worn these in the wintertime with business casual clothing with extreme comfort and no clunky feeling a true work boot has. I would recommend highly, but beware of faulty eyelets as with any Chuck Taylor product.

Just got my pair of these Converse boots. Very pleased at the style. I went a little big on size just in case. I got an 11 where I usually wear a 10 - 10.5 and must say even though they are a tad big they fit perfect and felt perfect if that makes sense haha. Very comfortable right out of the box. No "breaking in" period needed. And the weatherized aspect should be great considering I live in OHIO. I almost didn't write this review because I don't want anyone else to sport these boots but hey I'm a nice guy. Shipping was again flawless as I received the boots in less than 48 hours.

I regret buying these shoes! Overall these look cool but they make my feet very hot and sweaty. I wish they had vents in them.

These are cut very small. Will have to order at least one size up from usual size. They are also very narrow. But they look very cool.

One month of wear, that's it! I tossed the box the day my son started wearing it, but a month later the shoe sole separated from the the upper part of the shoes.
