And it's texture feels odd on bare feet. Aside from the jolting color of the insole it's a well made shoe.

Quality, fit, etc. seemed fine but color was not as expected. I ordered the gray which appeared online to be a steely gray. Actual color was a very tan gray- not to my liking. So it was returned.

Please add blue and grey options

Great looking boat shoes, but too big. I normally wear an 11.5 sneaker, but these are too big. Hard to tell whether they are a half size or a full size too big without having them here for comparison. These will go back, and I'll start over again.

Shoe started falling apart after the first couple sails I had with the shoe. Very comfortable but not constructed well.

I had never ever had any problems with Sperry before on the contrary ww love Sperry's at home ! This shows seem very processing until close inspection :( the sole is not well finished ia only glued but coming apart. The robber sole is not finished there are little pieces coming out the material. Just not the usual quality.

They aren't very comfortable, especially at the back of my foot, above the heel. I can feel two lumps where the end of the thong that wraps around my foot is sewn in. Gave me blisters.

I have been buying and wearing the Sea Kite or Billfishb for over 15 years but recently the sole rubber compound as become a real issue, once you wear them a few times on hot pavement the rubber becomes really hard and the it is like wearing skate when you walk on wood platform. Otherwise the confort and construction of the uper part of the shoes is top notch.

Why did they change the leather ? These are not as comfortable nor as well built as the originals of which I have 4 pair in various colors. Leave things alone Sherry.

Yes, they're comfy, but that's about it. I bought these prior to a week-long sailing trip in the Adriatic. They fit very well, but the moment any bit of water touched them, the dye profusely bled on the deck and discolored my toenailsfor about three weeks. The rubber at the front of the right shoe came unglued, and the heel started wearing. This after only two weeks of travel with a full week on sailing. In addition, they are the smelliest boat shoes I've ever owned. I sure like the idea of this shoe, but having to spend more time than I'd like cleaning blue dye off my white deck (and my toenails looking full "goth") I find a hard time recommending this shoe.

I bought a pair online 6 months ago and I was not pleased with the condition of my order. The shoes appear worn and out of shape. I'm used to my Sperry's having a smooth rich finish. I've only worn them a few times and they aren't giving my look that finish that I expect when I dress. They seem bulky and deformed. I purchase Sperry's regularly online and these disappointed me when I opened the box. I'm including a picture . I've just order 2 pair of the sneakers for the summer the Soletide 2;eye and the Striper II OVO . I expect the shoes to be that quality and finish that Sperry provides.

I like the comfort and traction. But the rubber part in the front (the toes part) on one of my shoes peeled off within a couple of hours of the fist wearing.

Love Sperry but these shoes fell apart. The front toe cover came unglued immediately and the soles worn out of tred very quickly.

About two years ago, I purchased this same shoe in Gray and in my typical size--10 wide. The fit was perfect and I'm still wearing them. However, this 10w I just purchased was about 1/2 size too big. I previously tried the 9 1/2 wide, but that was too small.

I have owned 2 pair of the Sea Kite over the last few years and with both pairs the rubber around the front has peeled and separated from the leather. I thought the first pair was just a one time defect, but then with the 2nd pair the same issue occurred. Too bad because otherwise I really liked the style of this shoe. But I would say choose another style.

Had a pair of these in blue, 5 years ago, and they were made of real leather then. The new version blue sea kites are made of pleather and much cheaper quality. love the design but sperry is making cheaper quality shoes these days. we shall see how the hold up this summer on the boat.

After owning this pair (Gray upper with the gray sole) for only about a year, the bottom "non skid" became hard and not very flexible and slippery on boat decks. Same thing happened with a different pair with this type of sole, Very disappointing.

Worst sperry I've ever had! Wearing them since May...completely worn out today!

Shoes squeak on every step. Not like the last pair I had.

I buy one or two pairs of boat shoes every years. The soles always come apart and this particular pair are the worse. Stay away from these.

Attractive shoe however Sperry has not figured out how to build a wide shoe. I ordered 11w which was so narrow my foot completely overlapped the sole. Also, it's commonly known the brand has tanked since going to China for manufacture. Ended up buying an 11w from another company that produces true to size and width.

the style on these shoes are completely ridiculous.

This looks like an excellent product and I would buy it if they made it in wide. I don't understand why Sperry insists on making only medium width shoes is so many of their styles.
