The inside of the shoe is really soft and comfortable, especially the insole which feels like memory foam. I think the soles do provide some help with traction, but still can't go running around on slippery surfaces. Unfortunately, the boots felt quite clunky and inflexible to me, but that may just be true for all boots designed like this. Another major problem I have is that the boots are not waterproof -- they let water in at my toes. This is true for both left and right shoes, so it's probably due to poor design rather than a defect. Overall, these boots are probably fine for casual wear in mild conditions if you like the style, but need better features if you want to confidently handle rain/snow.

First day I wore these was forecast to be cold and rain all day so I thought since these were waterproof, what a perfect day for them. What I found was they were not waterproof, both shoes leaked at the toes and my socks were wet as well as the inside of the shoes. Sending them back for another pair to see if the second pair may be better and it was just a defect.

Only lasted a few winter seasons. Fabric wore down and boots started leaking. Not good boots.

Water gets in where the leather meets the rubber. Dude on the phone said they were aware of it. Didn't stop them from selling them though!

My 12 year old couldn’t even get his foot in the 10 EE. The reviews said it ran bigger so I tried to be optimistic but the boot is very narrow and small so now I have to send them back and find another pair ?

1) tongue is sewn to the sides of the boot so that it can barely be moved to open a path to insert a foot
2) After forcing my foot in, tried a few steps: a) high heels
b) solid rubber sole does not bend at all
3) I thought it was hard to get on, but removal is even worse
in short, a torture boot
