Some tendency to slide down, but good overall gaiter for repeling moisture and saving cuffs of pants in heavy brush.

Great product. The material is quite stiff when new and took a little bit to wear in but now they are nice and flexible and very durable. The only con I have is the little hook at the bottom has frayed my boot laces and just keeps causing problems.

The Verglas gaiter is simple, but well designed. I also have the Crocodile gaiter, and wear the Verglas more often due to the lighter weight, superior breathability, and more supple material comparatively. My only complaint is that the buckle clasp to cinch the top of the gaiter bunches and limits how tight they can get. When one hikes in tights or has slender calves, these do not fit as well as I like. I ordered them online, and the fit guide is based only on the shoe size and I would suggest that OR list a circumference measurement range at the top to help with fit.

I'm 5'9 and the size large is about 2 inches too short. I can see where it would fit for someone with a short leg and wide calf. They stop on my calf where they slouch over time no matter how tight I make them. I love how they fit at the foot area. They cover a large area of the top of my boot and come down over the whole back side of my boot. There is a version that has an elastic bottom that will slip up over the back and expose the back of the boot.

These are great gaiters that are surprisingly tough for how light they are! I have used them bushwhacking in thick sagebrush and shrubs and they haven't ripped or torn. They fit on both my bulky work boots and my lighter hiking boots. I wear a women's 8 in boots and got a medium. They are awesomely waterproof and have kept my feet dry in mud and snow, and if they do get soaked through on a botched creek crossing they're quick to dry out. My only complaint is that I have to cinch the tops as tight as they'll go to keep these from slipping down, and even then they still slide down a little more than burlier gaiters do. But overall, these gaiters are a great lightweight option!

These are great gaiters that are surprisingly tough for how light they are! I have used them for work bushwhacking through sagebrush and shrubs and they still have no rips or tears. They have also kept my feet dry in muddy and snowy conditions. They fit well on both my pairs of hiking boots - one burly pair and one lightweight pair, so I'd say they're versatile with what kinds of boots they can fit. I only subtracted a star because I have to cinch the tops as tight as they can go to keep these from falling down all the time. Overall, though, these are great value and they've held up really well in brushy/wet conditions!

Bought these for my wife and she loves them! She has a pair of 3L Goretex gaiters however I find she will take these 9 times out of 10 because they are much lighter and simple! They have good waterproofing and are very light and packable.

Great for hiking or snow activity. Perfect if you are looking for lightweight and breathable gaiters. Mine eventually fall down if the top is not tight enough. If you plan to use them with crampons often, perhaps the Crocodile would be more suitable. This would prevent tear in the upper part.

I have a pair of men's gaitors that were too large at the calf so I created my own top closure with elastic but they wore out after 10 years of soaking in wet brush and poison ivy. I would not work without them. So I replaced them with a pair of women's medium. I am 5'4" with size 9.5 boots. These do not go high enough to reach above the calf for a secure fit. And how the heck is that plastic buckle supposed to work? I am afraid I will break the darn thing trying to secure it. I am going to return these and get men's again. OR should provide the height and width measurements and not just the shoe size.

Very impressed with the overall construction of the gaiters, however I found that they are too large. I purchased the XS and found that they are too large to properly fit my boots. I do have thin boots, but either way, I was hoping an XS would do the trick. Additionally, I did not love the tab at the top. I had to tighten it all the way in order for them to stay on my calves, and even so, they would eventually fall on trail.
That being said, they are a great product. If you tend you fit small, I wouldn't recommend them. If you are more average-larger size, I would 100% recommend them. They are light, resistant to abrasion, and easily packable. Perfect for backcountry snowshoeing!

Though I have large feet (size 10), I had no luck with making these gaiters fit my boots, and tried both large and medium sizes. The large would have fit my legs (the medium would have slid down below my calf), but needs a bulkier hiking boot than I own to actually stay on and stick to my boot. Also, my boots don't have a loop at the bottom low enough to accommodate the hook needed to secure it in. So, in short, while the design seemed really cool, the fit was very peculiar. If you have particularly bulky hiking boots, these may work great for you.

These gaiters have not been sized down correctly for typical women's boots. I purchased size small Women's Verglas for my mid-weight size 6.5 hikers. The Verglas MIGHT work on a plastic boot or other very wide heavy duty mountaineering boots, but it's laughably loose on regular hiking boots. High quality materials and construction, but the fit makes them a no-go.

I sized these to fit my boots and they are so wide they won't stay up. I wish they were more form-fitting in the calf. The material is nice and breaths okay, but it's not stiff enough to stay upright.
