We loved these shoes! Unfortunately the wide insert did not offer enough room for either of my twin boys. They both have wide/thick feet and we couldn't even get their foot all the way in the shoe. If your little one doesn't have an issue with wide feet then I highly recommend these - they are adorable!

The go to dress shoe for my boys! Perfect fit for medium and wide feet, which each child of mine has. Makes it easy for them to share also once the other’s size catches up. Comfortable and cute dress shoe for my stud muffins.

This is a great shoe, good rich color that goes with everything. I like it bc it sort of blends with skin color & doesn’t show scratches, etc as much as a traditional white toddler / kid oxford. The only reason I say it’s narrow is because my son has a very wide foot. Wish they offered a “wide” option instead of a “M/W”

Cute shoes but not for chubby feet as it does not fit well. the issue is that it does not open well on top and does not have elastic which could help

Great dress shoes for my toddler with chubby feet since they offer them in wide sizes. I can only assume they didn't hurt or bother him as he kept them on for hours without trying to take them off. I'm very pleased with them and have gotten more wears out of them than expected.

Great quality shoes! They run true to size. Perfect for a suit & tie occasion but also great for casual wear. Well worth the money!

Love the traditional, classic style of this shoe for my 2.5 year old son. He is also obsessed with them and wears them almost every day to preschool. The change that I would really recommend to FootMates is that they need to be just a little roomier for a toddler foot. My son was previously wearing a size 7 in the brown saddle oxford version of this shoe, which he outgrew. Unfortunately the size 8 in this style is more like a 7.5, even with the wide width insert. I was hoping to be able to use the medium width insert and switch to the wide width as his feet grew so he would be able to wear them longer. When we previously tried this style about a year ago, his foot was so chubby/thick that we couldn't even get his foot in the shoe. It's still a bit of a struggle even though his feet have lengthened and flattened out a bit, but he's happy. Don't even bother with this shoe if your child has thick/chubby a.k.a. typical toddler feet. If you're looking for a classic buck style shoe for chubby feet, try the saddle version or a different brand.

Cute dress shoes for my son. I was looking for flexible shoes so that they would be comfortable (he normally wears shoes from See Kai Run). These fit the bill. Only two complaints- I wish there were elastic laces instead of laces I actually need to keep tied. And the suede scuffs very easily (probably unavoidable).

I’m not even sure what didn’t work. They’re adorable but as another reviewer stated , we could not even get then on my 2 yo grandson and he doesn’t have wide feet The instep area is way too low Disappointed

While the picture of the shoes depicts a rich royal blue color, upon arrival they are more of a washed out denim blue. However, the style was still cute and it came with an insole insert for wider feet if needed. We kept the shoes due to time constraints but I would have preferred the color shown.

Shoe is very cute but not wide enough as it does not carry any elastic bands which could help with what chubbier feet
