I am so disappointed that these are not going to work for me. They are cute and likely comfortable like my other Arche's, but that's all the good. The bad is that the sole is extremely narrow, yet the band on the front top is too wide. The elastic straps don't hold my feet back from going over the front edge of the shoe. Something is wrong because I even stand crooked in them. And... they have no arch support. Sorry, cannot recommend. However, I HIGHLY recommend Zappos for their excellent service and speedy shipping.

I have purchased a number of pairs of Arche shoes (4 pairs within the last 3 years)and was pleased with them. However, in all cases, the rubber soles, formerly black, have acquired a greyish patina like the rubber has oxidized. I have given them a low rating in all categories because I don't think any one will find them comfortable or stylish once the soles have turned grey. These are expensive shoes and should last both structurally and visually. Some pairs were seldom worn and are less than a year old; others were worn more frequently. The discoloration is the same no matter the rate of usage.

Beyond beyond comfortable and I know Arche shoes last forever. But be forewarned: if you travel alot as I do,and prefer not to check baggage these shoes are unusually heavy and I'm returning only because of the weight they will add to my suitcase.

Chic comfort and style. What more can you ask for. Arche shoes, sandals, boots are the best. I wear nothing else. These sandals run medium to narrow, so if you have a wide foot, go for the Satia. I wear a size 9/40 in all Arche sandals. I wear a size 10/41 in most Arche shoes and boots. Great that Zappos lets you try several sizes. Thank you for carrying this amazing brand of shoes. Please keep it up.

I took this shoe out of the box, put it on and said "aaaah". No other shoe feels like Arche right out of the box. I bought my first pair 15 years ago because I was walking around Boston and my feet hurt and passed the Arche store and went in. I bought two pairs, a sandal and a heel. I am usually very hard on shoes, but both pairs still look and feel fantastic. They are very pricey, but totally worth it.

Fabulously comfortable shoe! Size ran small so I had to order up a full size, which actually only ran about a 1/2 size larger, but fit perfectly. Time will tell if the shoe's wear & tear is worth the price!

Arche is superb! Very Euro looking. So comfortable. I have very narrow ankles with a wide toe area. Arche shoes fit fantastically and are the most comfortable shoes around.

I love the elegant simplicity of these shoes. Arche are a splurge shoe for me, but these got me through summer in style. The little heel is nice to dress things up (and it's helpful for my plantar fasciitis). I'm spoiled by comfort shoes and while these don't compete with those, they are nonetheless great to have on. The perfect 'little black shoe.'

This was small for me. An 11 in Born fits me well. I have a narrow heel and my toes like wiggle room. They are heavy to hold, but not so on the feet.

Wow, if these were a better fit for my feet, I'd probably want to wear these like slippers. But my feet are a tad on the wide end of the spectrum, and the front straps on these shoes are a bit tight around the front of my feet. Additionally, I'm conscious of the heels in a way that I don't feel I should be. The soles, though... Make me feel like I'm bouncing through clouds. The overall look is nice, although not terribly special (I tried on the grigio color). Overall, I feel like they give a hint of what perfection could be like, but they fall short enough in both function and fashion that they don't justify the cost for me.

I like the sandals but the front bands felt a little tight. One size larger might have worked better, but I decided that the style was rather child-like. I wanted more elegance, especially at this price. They were very light and comfortable, though. In the future, when I am more eager for ease and comfort, I may try the larger size.

Nice shoe but expensive for what it is. My foot was slightly too narrow and elasticized straps didn't hold my foot in, but if my foot was slightly wider would have been super comfortable.

These are fabulous -- except the elastic over the arch is too tight. If you have a high arch, it might be too too tight. But these are great for walking on cobblestones or uneven pavement. They're the only platforms I find that have both height and are flexible.

Oh, these shoes are so close to perfect. Beautiful, well designed, fit my narrow foot well, so comfortable I may never take them off. But...they squeak when walking on uncarpeted floor. At this price seems like they could have thrown in another couple bucks to eliminate the noise. I'm keeping them anyway. The elastic holds firmly without being too tight. The style is terrific and the brown color is gorgeous with almost a hint of burgundy. Footbed is soft as satin, sole is wonderfully supportive. I'm usually an 8, sometimes an 8-1/2 in shoes that run small, like Munros for example; I had to return these in 8; the 8-1/2 fits perfectly. Great for those with narrow heels and high instep like me.

What to do? I adore Arche shoes, when they are good they are the best. These are awesome in many ways - silky soft bottoms, beautiful design, no-rub leather...but...not only are the elastic bands too flimsy to hold up the heavier shoe, when you wear them they turn your foot black! The dye rubs off, very unattractive when you are out for the day and see your toes black. Haven't decided yet whether I can keep them. Too bad!
