I've found Superfeet insoles run wide. Although these wool ones can easily be cut narrower, they are too thick to fit comfortably in ANY of my boots without squishing my toes. Squished toes equal bad circulation equals cold feet. Wished they were more narrow and not so thick. Probably have to use them only in shoes that have a removable insole.

These are great. Superfeet usually don't work for me (the arches in the other models are too short). I over-pronate and generally wear Sole insoles, but tried these because I needed something more insulating for a pair of L.L. Bean "duck" boots. The felted wool insoles sold for winter pac boots are warm, but perfectly flat and with no support. I needed something I could walk in. These Superfeet merino insoles are fantastic. They feel like they were made for me, keep the cold from leeching through from the ground to my feet, are comfortable enough for miles of walking, and do such a good job with moisture management that I find I'm not changing out of my boots ASAP like I used to. They might be a bit much for regular shoes due to their thickness, but for higher-volume pairs they're definitely worth a try.
I'd also recommend:

I bought a pair of cheap mukluk-style boots on clearance elsewhere to use as slippers here in Wisconsin. They had zero arch support and I couldn't wear them without socks because the lining chafed and made my feet cold yet sweaty (things got real stinky real fast). I bought these and WOW...now those boots are my go-to footwear. I wear the boots without socks and the merino keeps my feet comfy (and stink-free). Not only do I wear them in the house, but I shovel snow and walk my dogs and run errands in them in complete comfort. No foot ache (arches supported) or foot stink (thanks, merino!).

My physical therapist suggested I try orthotics for my knee arthritus. I tried the Merinos and I was very pleased with them. They gave my feet more support, and the sheeps wool lining was nice and warm during the winter.

I got these insoles to replace the synthetic pancakes in my new Sorel Tivoli III boots. I got these boots to have something I can just step into to run outside in the morning when I need to shovel snow or take out the trash, and for apres-snow.
The Merino Superfeet insoles are much warmer, more comfortable and breathable compared to the originals. They do obviously take up more space--the original insoles were a flat 3mm piece of foam--but the style of the boots is relaxed enough that they feel great with the Superfeet in, still comfy but less sloshy on my feet.

I've had these for about 15 years, they have made it through many different boots, and are still in a pair of boots I own, today (currently my Hunters, which for the price, offers absolutely no support). I highly recommend. Worth every penny.

I have a issue with my left foot that is helped with padding. If you are looking for a thick insole that provides support these are excellent.

I just bought my second pair of these insoles after wearing the first pair well over two years on a daily basis in work boots. I realize I should replace them more frequently but honestly, the more I wear them the more comfortable they become! Plus, I've ditched my very expensive prescription orthopedic insoles!

I had a pair of green superfeet and loved them. I spend a lot of time on my feet and in hockey rinks so good support and warmth were necessary when shopping for a replacemt. These Merino Greys are exactly what I needed! I wish I would have bought them years ago. As a person who is often cold, these insoles provide a tad more warmth than the greens to keep the chill offf my feet.

These things are great in work boots but especially muck boots. Having warmth and support in adverse conditions make a long day more pleasant.

I have owned about five pairs of these. They're warm for winter and have the same high quality support I get from the green liner.

I have worn them just .once in the snow and cold but I did mention, several times, to my trail companions, that I really liked my new wool inserts. Wore them in my winter hiking boots on an 8 miles hike through the mountain snow.

Just put them in my boots today. Worked outside for almost 4 hours in low 30's degree weather. Never gave my feet a thought. Comfortable and warm all day.

I bought these last month and I wish I had them sooner. I was wearing the blue superfeet but my feet were cold in this New England weather. So I searched the website for warmer insoles and there they were! I could not resist, and I am very happy I bought them. My feet love them. Give them a try!!

I always wore Superfeet Green in my work boots. Due to a move from Arizona to Illinois I decided to try the Merino Grey as i have also always worn Merino wool socks in my boots. Thus far they have been comfortable and added warmth to my feet.

I have bought the green insoles before, then the orange ones. They were good, but the Merino Grey insoles are by far the best! Way more comfortable and warmer for outdoor use.
Definatly will be buying them again.

I bought these in late 2013 and put them in my military boots, I've put hundreds of miles on these insoles and they have given me nothing but comfort. The wool lasted several years but has finally ripped away. Guess its time for a new pair.

My family loves these merino wool insoles! They don't itch and they sure keep your feet comfortable, regardless of the weather. They help regulate your body heat.

I bought these insoles to replace my slipper insoles that have gone the way of the dodo. I have found them to be very comfortable. They fit in the slippers perfectly. They feel comfortable there warm and they are perfect for what I bought them for. The arch support feels just fine.
