Just walked the dog for an hour in 34 degrees and strong winds. Felt the wind come through them a time or two, but they did fine. That's about the threshold -- any colder than that, and I find myself stuffing hands in my pockets. They're ideal for mid to upper 30s, 40s and even low 50s...situations where I often wouldn't wear gloves at all. So they're better than nothing because they are snug and feel really good to wear. (I got a M and am 6'1".) Not only can I use my phone, but navigation and music in my car, and I can dig into my pants pockets to find my cars keys. I am seldom outside for long periods of time in below 30 weather -- and if I was I would probably buy an additional pair. But for me, this is the best pair of gloves I've owned in years.

These gloves fit well, but they do not offer much protection from the cold. They do meet my needs as I rarely wear gloves anyway.

These gloves look nice and work well. I believe these are a newer model as my girlfriend has an older pair which only have smartphone touch material on the finger tips. For these gloves the whole palm (ie black part of the grey/blue gloves) works on a touchscreen. Touchscreen typing is a little difficult (which I expected) however basic functions (even pinch/zoom) seemed to work just fine. The gloves feel nice, and seem to do fine when driving. I'm sure the silicone will wear down over time, but it does well right now. The gloves aren't overly warm. I'm using them mostly just to keep my hands warm when driving in the morning, which they work great for. But, if it is cold enough to snow you will most likely want a heavier glove.

I had to order a men's medium because there weren't any women's large so I expected it to be a little big on me. They're more for keeping your hands covered during the cold but not so good with protecting you from the cold. Works well with touch screens though!

Touch sensitivity is not bad. As previous reviewers have indicated, probably not the best for typing on a touch screen, but does allow you to work with it. - Didn't find them very warm at all. Better than nothing, but don't think they can withstand much. - They are very comfortable. The stretch material affords great flexibility, so pretty good for grabbing smaller objects.

Not really worth the price, stylish but that's about it. The aren't very warm as some have mentioned. I use them as driving gloves anything else I'd lose my fingers.

These gloves are comfortable, but the quality is insufficient. I had them for three days before a seam came undone. Ever since North Face became ubiquitous on cold weather campuses the quality has gone south. Pass on these unless you're just trying to show off an oversized logo on cheap gloves.

The best gloves I have owned. Warm and thin to continue daily activities with ease. I use them at work and while riding a motorcycle so they are excellent for whatever activity I am doing. Very easy to operate electronics with them too. Never an issue. I am on my forth pair and I will continue to purchase when needed since they are so good.

i'm a 5'9, 110lb, 29yo woman with long limbs including long fingers. i originally bought the women's version of these gloves, but i ended up giving them to my girlfriend because the palm area was too short and the seam was cutting into my palm, causing quite a bit of discomfort. i bought the men's version of the gloves and the shortness issue was resolved... the men's version is a much better fit!

Got these for my husband for our upcoming trip to Ireland where the temps will be in the 30s, 40's and 50's, maybe getting to the low 60's toward the end. He was fussing about not wanting to bring his gloves because they were too bulky. He changed his tune went these arrived. He loved how light weight and stretchy they are and the fact that he can use his touch screen with them on. The clip for keeping them together is also a plus. Thanks, Zappos for having what we needed when we needed it even though there probably isn't a huge demand for gloves in late April!

Great and perfect for almost any use (above freezing). These gloves function well for those using their hands during the weather. Valet Parker's, runners, outdoor jobs and hiking. Skiing would be too cold though!

These gloves are fantastic. I have ordered them off and on for the last 4 years when needing replacement. The touch surface does work. They are sleek and keep hands warm during the cold weather here in upstate new york. My last pair was lost so ordered a new replacement pair this season and they work just as good as all the models/versions that came before it. Looks very nice on, stylish!

Overall, a great glove. I have really small hands, and they fit good, except the thumbs are too long. I have the XS size. The asphalt gray color is really nice.
