I now have 3 pair of these (black, brown, nubuck) and there was zero break-in i.e. comfortable from the 1st time I put them on. Well built. Stylish. Can wear with jeans, business casual, or dress. I wore Allen-Edmonds for years when I was working and for whatever reason I migrated to Ecco. I'm now back to Allen-Edmonds 100%.

First, let me just say the obvious that shoes are beautiful. They draw a lot of compliments so be ready for that. From the beautiful cut and handsomely stitched uppers, to the not so subtle good year welting, these shoes are exceptional. Then, there are the contrasting Daynite soles that are as functional as they are eye catching. Yet, they have just enough modesty to fit into nearly every social situation you encounter.

This shoe is simply a work of art. The crackled highlights and unfinished cut leather contrasting against the brown just looks great! AE hit this one out of the park IMHO, and the red Danite is the perfect compliment. It might take a few tries to nail the perfect fit, but customer service is top notch and it's all well worth it in the end. Super easy going for an oxford and a fairly versatile shoe. No complaints here. Great work on this one, AE.

The shoes are great. Fit, finish, and wear couldn't be better. I especially like the Dainite sole as it provides a bit more cushioning with the cork footbed. However, the most frustrating thing is the order management system and this website. I'll order shoes only to get them canceled a week later, or they end up being on backorder, or ??? It's a constant never-ending frustration. I recently placed an order for this shoe in Tobacco Brown Suede that was supposedly in-stock and ready to ship, while in reality the shoe is now discontinued and probably will cancel. Some days I regret leaving Mezlan, Santoni, and Magnanni. I never had these issues with their shoes.

Purchased these for my husband. He has worn them several times since and twice has gotten asked about where he got them.

Always wanted a pair of Allen Edmonds great Style and fit

I have several pairs of 'black' dress shoes so I put off getting these for a while, but I wished I had not. These can dress up or down easily and can replace several pairs of shoes I don't often wear now that I am not going to the office in a suit every day. Had my eyes on these 'blue accent' soles/laces for a while - Love 'Em!

These casual oxfords are singularly impressive. This extremely comfortable contains the added bonus of throwing in he "wow" feature. The blue Danite sole is the selling point. The blue brings out shoe from a mile away. Well done AE!

I bought these shoes a few days ago. I am just in the "trying them on to check the fit" stage. This is the best feeling, softest leather Allen Edmonds shoes I own. The sewing is nice, the fit is exceptional. The finish leaves a little bit to be desired. There was one glue stain on the leather, not removed. The sock liners inside the shoes are too small. I will go to the shoe repair store and buy sock liners that fits into the shoe correctly. I only received 1 small size shoe bag, not 2 bags or a double shoe bag, as is common with AE. In summary, I absolutely love these shoes, it is like sliding on a pair of gloves. For me, the blue rubber Dainite soles and blue shoe strings sell these shoes. This pair of shoes is a complete home run.

A great product from Allen Edmonds. I have been looking at the Strand shoe and picked up this Strandmok. I love the color and the red Dainite sole contrasts very well. It took a few days to break in the shoe. It is extremely comfortable. The size runs correct. I would recommend this shoe anytime.

I originally bought these loafers in brown to wear for business casual. I quickly realized these are extremely versatile and can easily be worn with jeans, khakis, or even a suit. The leather is super soft and the rubber soles add functionality for when you are on your feet or for wet weather, but the soles don't make the shoe too casual. The leather is softer than AE's normal dress shoe, but high quality nonetheless. I get many compliments on these shoes. I also purchased them in black a few weeks later.

Great shoes. Distinctive and quality materials and well made. Unlike so many brands today AE has consistently delivered the goods. These Strandmok Cap Toes are so versatile and just look better than any casual dress shoe.

I have this shoe and the fit, comfort and quality are excellent.

This is a great looking shoe. I don't have anything else like them. After about a day or two of breaking them in, they felt great. These look great with jeans, chinos or any dress casual outfit you can imagine. My daughter said the color was ombre - IDK but the brown does go from a dark to a light in parts and it looks great. Craftsmanship is first rate. Spending less time in suits these days means I'm wearing these shoes several days a week. Not saying you couldn't match these well with a suit, but I haven't tried it yet.

Just wanted to let you know my experience with Strandmock Cap-toe shoe. I have 5 pairs of this shoe. The big takeaway for me is it runs about one letter wider than a McAllister style shoe for fit. I use an A width in most but AA provides a better fit on this model.

This shoe seems very well made and fits my foot comfortabley. I am glad that Allen Edmunds offers this shoe in narrow sizes. I like the way it looks with casual dress, including jeans.

Go to style for years and years to come. Few shoes today can match the AE quality

I've looked at this style a number of times but never purchased usually going with something simpler like a cap toe. I've been very pleasantly surprised how much I like these. They are as comfortable as any of my other AE shoes so nothing to worry about there. I find the style goes well with my business clothes at work to break up my routine of other plain black shoes. I also prefer the deign over traditional wingtips. The Dainite soles are fantastic, all around great shoe so far.

I made this purchase to wear only on my casual Firday;s and night out in the town. This is a pair that scream CASUAL ELEGANCE. I was asked what where the brand of my shoes the other at the office, Cause theyd scream Cool and top notch casualness. I love these pair of shoes . I am recommending all of my colleagues including my lady counterparts..

First of all, I am very thankful that AE offers customers several shoes in a variety of hard-to-find sizes. I wear 15 AAA, which other than through AE is only available through custom shoe / boot makers. I do wish AE produced extra narrow boots though.... I recently received a pair of Strandmoks which I have wanted for considerable time. They are wonderful shoes that are extremely comfortable and good looking. I receive compliments each day that I wear them. I expect to wear these shoes for many years to come and have AE recraft them when necessary.

This is a very sharp, very well crafted shoe that is comfortable right out of the box. Size was true to fit with a 8.5 3E. Nice contrast with the leather color and the red Dainite sole. Always draws compliments.

This is my fifth pair of Allen Edmonds shoes and I truly love every pair. This one is no different! You will stand out in a crowd with these shoes on!
