Bought these for my 8 year old son and he loves them. He has a narrower foot and I do notice that the toe box on these is a little on the wider side. However, that doesn't seem to bother him at all. Overall a double thumbs up!

Great shoe! I purchased this shoe for my 7 year old and he loves them. They are very lightweight, but durable. I would highly recommend these shoes.

Leaving review for my 5 year old who's been through 3 pairs of these, but I use Free Runs also which I feel are about 1/2 size shorter than my 3 other pair of Nike running shoes. My son has worn each of his consecutive pair of Free Runs daily and is very active. Baseball on a sandlot we have in our backyard, bike rides, school, everywhere. He has beat up on these things and he has always grown out of them before they are completely toasted which is the 2nd reason I keep buying him the same shoe. The 1st reason is because he is fairly flat footed and as a toddler his Dr. recommend we let him go barefoot as often and as long as possible to let his foot do its natural growth thing. Since the Free Run design was initially based on a minimalist shoe concept, I decided to go with this to let his foot work more naturally (and on the side "encourage" his running strike to be more mid-forefoot). He loves them. Always loves getting a new pair, and loves to run in them. His model has always been with the velcro closure which is great and doesn't require tying the shoes. The next pair he gets will most likely be lace-up.

These are great shoes for my eight year old son. This is his third pair and they typically last the entire school year. They are worth the price.

This is my son's sixth pair of this style shoe. That says it all. He has been wearing this style since he was 4 years old - and now he is 6½. These are fabulous shoes - I hope they keep making them! Also, since my son goes to a school which requires him to wear black shoes, they are perfect!

Bought these for my four year old and he loves them. They're lightweight and clean easily. Within a day of wearing them they needed to be cleaned so I threw them in the washer and then the dryer, they still look brand new. My kids only have two pairs of shoes at a time so spending the money on Nike is well worth it. His last pair he wore every day this winter and never wore them out!

These are super comfortable and they look great on my son. He broke them in during a three day visit at Disneyland and not a single complaint of feet hurting! If you are looking for great walking shoes for your kids, these are them.

They have been good shoes so far. Seem to hold up well to the abuse my boy doles out on his shoes. He likes the fit and they are nice looking shoes.

I purchased these from my daughter who wanted a pair of shoes for a three day camping trip. They were a champ! She got them completely filthy (rain/mud on a long hike) and I tossed them in the washer and let them air dry - good as new!

My daughter needed new shoes for her school with a dress code. These worked perfect. They are very comfortable, fit true to size and she loves them!

Purchased these for my incredibly active 5 year old boy. He has destroyed all the other shoes that we have purchased. That being said, all the others were much less expensive. This purchase is well worth the money. He loves them, they are light and never caused any discomfort and after several months they have outlasted all others.

Purchased these in a size 10.5 for my two year old grandson who wears size10/11. Fit him great with just a little growing room. He should be able to wear them all summer. They are very vivid with an open mesh fabric great for summer. Very lightweight so he can run fast. He has a wide foot and has no problem with toe scrunching. He loves them and wants to wear them all the time even though he has 10 pairs of other shoes.

Newer shoes for my son (age 6). He tends to be sensitive and picky and so far these are a pleaser. He takes tennis lessons in them, and so far, so good! They are about a month old.

My 6 year old loves these shoes. This is 3rd pair of Nike Free and first pair with shoe laces. Easy for him to tie and very flexible. Colors are true to what is shown in picture.

Delivery was FAST. I am very satisfied with my purchase and my kids love their Nike free runs! I love the older design compared to these shoes, but the comfort is still there.

My six year old loves them. He says they make him run faster. They look great. I will be buying them again.

Bought these for my nine-year-old little runner. She loves them. I think the size (length) and width are pretty true to size. She has slightly flat feet and these are comfortable. There's not a lot of arch support but she said 4 out of 5 for comfort. Note that these are newer very flexible shoes. I have the adult version and like them.

Nike Free Run for kids are a fantastic shoe! These are the only tennis shoe that I have found that doesn't wear down or acquire holes from my 5 year olds daily wear and tear. This is our second pair! We will continue to purchase this shoe!

I've had two pairs of these and I love them so much! they are so flexible and lightweight and I use them for everything. if you live in a place that gets a lot of rain, these shoes soak it up and your socks get wet. I would recommend these shoes.

Arrived the next day, just as described. I know from experience that Nike runs about a half size small in sneakers so I took that into account when ordering. Zappos is the most dependable internet company I've ever encountered!

My son loves this shoe. Very comfortable for him and easy to slip on. Laces are long and we taught him to tie his shoes by himself wit this pair. With most active kids the soles wear out fast. But no tears or rips in the shoes after a couple months.

I purchased these for my five-year old grandson. As usual, the Zappos delivery time was fantastic. The shoe fit his narrow foot well and it is stylish. Now, if we can just master tying those long laces into the much-needed "double-knot"!
