I normally wear an 8.5-9 regular to wide. In this shoe I'm wearing an 8 regular. I require Powerstep Pro Control orthotics, have a high instep, wide toes, narrow heel, and I supinate and pronate. I have a history of falling arches with hairline fracture and tendonitis, not to mention diabetes and RA. The pain, swelling and fatigue in my feet, ankles, knees, hips and back are gone. Switching to good shoes and insoles has played a major role in my recovery. The manufacturer's insoles are pretty nice, very cushy, neutral to good support and you can buy replacements, extending the life of the shoe considerably! Because I require more motion control and arch support, I removed the insoles that come with the shoe and put in the full length Power Step Control insoles, they're nearly perfect. If you have a low instep and use orthotics, you could get away with placing 3/4 length on top of the original insole. They fit like a clog, which means your heel will come off the foot bed as you walk but the shoe has a nice wide, stable, rigid sole, neutral to good motion control, adequate room in the toes and there is no risk of your foot coming out of the shoe. The strap has a discreet elastic piece making this shoe more forgiving and comfortable than those with an inflexible instep. It's so nice to find a comfortable, attractive shoe that is orthotic friendly and accommodates my very difficult feet.

Thank you Zappos for your amazing service! Please please please tell Klogs to keep making shoes with a one inch heel and an adjustable strap (Velcro or buckle) in half sizes! KLOGS are THE BEST shoes! I have plantar fascias in both feet, flat feet and narrow feet. I really love the Valley and Madrid styles .

Love these shoes, but like the reviewer before me, they are big! I also wear an 8.5, and sent them back for an 8. Am now sending them back for a 7.5. The ankle/heel area is really loose. I have tried tightening the strap but that's not where they are loose. Will try one last time.

The cushy footbed and supurb arch support of this shoe made me really want to like them, but I had a few problems. After reading other reviews about the sizing, I ordered down a half size, then returned that to go down yet another half size! But once I got to (almost) the correct length (it was still a tiny bit long!), the front of the shoe that goes over the top of the foot was much too tight. Also, it seems that the heel area is just a bit too shallow (possibly due to those great comfortable inserts in the sole). The back of my foot lifts out of the shoe when I walk, and the strap doesn't seem to help. The support and comfort for the bottom of my foot made me want to keep these, but I ended up shipping them back because of all the other problems with the fit. :( (I also didn't like the silver inset on the flowers on the black shoes as much as I thought I would, but I would have kept them in spite of this if the fit had been right.)

Loved the look but have to send back. 6.5 slipped in heel and six didn't do it as much but enough to create a good sore on back of heel. Not enough toe room for me. Will be sending back. Waiting on new order. Love Zappos.

I love this shoe. Fit perfect no need to break them in. I want a second pair just to have. On my feet all day and still feel good at the end of the day.

Cute. Wished they fit. Too tight with the liner in. Too expensive to wear without.

Excellent service. As others stated, they run large. I am an 8 or 8.5. I will be ordering a 7.5 the 8 was too big.

My podiatrist recommended I buy hiking boots for support and for easing discomfort from plantar fasciitis. I bought Klogs (in Madrid color) instead which are the most comfortable my feet have felt in months! Excellent toe room and attractive - not too heavy. Plus, if I am not mistaken, Klogs are made in the USA - an unexpected bonus. I will order them in red soon as they become available in my size.

Started a new job a few weeks ago and have been on my feet much more than usual. My other clogs were making my feet feel bruised. I have looked everywhere for cute shoes that didn't look like something my 80 year old mother would wear. These fit the bill! I received them yesterday and wore them all day today. Very comfortable!

The most comfortable shoe I've ever worn! Great support for your arches and superior padding for your heel. I have never had such a cute shoe that was so comfortable. I get compliments on how adorable they are- from men!

I've had quite the shoe search, looking for a basic black shoe I could wear with both bands and skirts, and works with my fussy feet. The support in this shoe is great. The insert is easily removable, but it's almost as good as my orthotics, so I keep them in. The toe of the shoe is hard and uncomfortable without the footbed support. This shoe looks good with dress pants and jeans, and mediocre with skirts. It definitely runs large, but with Zappos easy returns, it wasn't a big deal!

Love these shoes. Just had foot surgery, these were a saving grace. I like these much better than some of the other name brands at similar price.

Darn cute for clogs! I am usually an 8W, could have worn an 7-1/2M except the shoe cut a tiny bit into my foot on my left instep because I have had lots of surgery on that foot. So went back up to 8M for plenty of room and just adjusted the strap that will not wear out because it is NOT velcro which I hate. Nothing like walking along and have your Velcro straps give way and your shoes flopping around. Inserted my orthotics, spent the entire day happy because my feet felt so good. The platform on these is flatter than some of the other styles and very comfortable. Have two pairs of Sonora clogs I bought in 8 1/2 to wear with jeans and socks, but I love them so much I put anklet socks under tights so that I can wear them with dresses in the winter. Warm because you are up out of the rain and cold.

LOVE, LOVE, LOVE THEM! Put them on day one with no socks, comfortable, did not rub. I have bad feet and knees, they were comfortable the entire time I wore them. They run big, I usually wear and 8 1/2 - 9 and I got an 8 and they are PERFECT!

Lovely style. Cushy and comfy out of the box. Compliments rolled in, but I won't reveal I bought them for comfort and arch support, not style. Red color is rich and true, not brick or rust. Very soft leather-- but not so soft it will stretch out too fast. Have not taken them off, which means a winner. After developing plantar fascitis from too many cute ballet flats with no arch support, (ouch!) Klogs to the rescue. Will be buying more. One note: the other reviews are right. Sizing down is probably safer unless you have very wide feet.

My first time to order Klogs. Found them while looking at non-slip work shoes. I am now ordering for the 3rd try on these. Normally I wear an 8 1/2, (too big), ordered next size 8, still a little big. Have just sent for a size 7 1/2 and crossing my fingers. Luckily Zappos has such easy returns and no hassles! I have ordered many, many, many shoes and they are unbelievably over the top Customer Service like no other!

I was thrilled to find these 'cute' shoes among the styles that Klogs offers. All of them are comfortable, and I don't wear anything else, but these look really good with Spring and Summer clothes, too. I just wish they came in more colors than black and red.

I usually wear a size 8 but read that this runs large and ordered a 7.5. But this was still too big, even with my custom orthotics inside. I'm returning and not exchanging them because I think even a 6.5 or 7 would still be too wide for my rather narrow feet. So they're not kidding when they say it runs large.

I purchased this shoe based on other reviewers saying it was wider; however, it was tight on my foot on top and width. I normally wear a 7.5-8 in a normal width if the shoe runs normally but will choose wides if the shoe runs narrow.

I hate to admit that I have to send another pair of shoes back. I ordered a 10 originally, and sent back for a 9.5 as shoe ran large. But the heel is the same width as the toe area, and my foot just slips out of it with every step. So I do not know what the answer is. What a beautifully made shoe though. The leather is beautiful, the instep great, and a well made shoe. I need to investigate this line further and see if they are made with such a wide heel. I would like to find a shoe of theirs I can wear. Giving it 4 stars only because of the heel area.

I loved the look of the Madrid and they felt great on my feet but unfortunately I had to send them back. I ordered an 8 M(C), the same size as my Klogs Valley shoes that I love. I have wide feet but found that a medium width in Klogs is right for me. The Madrid fit well across my toes but the width was huge at the arch area. The shoes gaped open on the sides. Adjusting the strap tighter didn't help the problem at all...maybe made it worse. I was really disappointed because I wanted these mary janes. I LOVE Zappos return service....they make it so easy! And I live less than 20 miles from a service center so I usually get my shoes in 24 hrs. I ordered the Carolina Klogs as a replacement. They arrived quickly & have worked out great!

Very nice shoe. Would have been perfect if it had come in a wide width. Great cushioning. One of the few shoes I've found with enough cushioning for me. Why don't they make it in a wide?!

These shoes were very pretty and comfortable with the exception of the heel. The back of my heel continually got blisters from the back of the shoe rubbing against it. I tried wearing heavier socks and bandaids to cushion the rubbing, to no avail. I was hopeful that this would not be the case because they do have extra padding at the back of the top of the heel, but alas, this was not the case for me. I love the style, and were it not for the heel blisters, I would have kept them.
