Well made leather tennis shoe from New Balance Size 9A. It's hard to find narrow sports shoes so I tried the NB walking shoe and this tennis shoe. Unfortunately, both have the same problem. Toe box is narrow but mid-shoe thru heel is wide which allows the foot to shift during lateral moves not to mention the heel slipping out. Sorry to be returning them.

He circular pivot spot on the soles make for smooth turns and twists. For anyone with "tender" knees or hips this is so important.
Would prefer some colour enhancement to add to the fun.

Long time wearer of NB. I wear orthothics. I am a true 10/B need a wide toe box. This shoe ran short with thin socks and no orthotics, so I will go up 1/2 size and hope for a good fit. Otherwise they fit well.

I needed a pair of not running shoes for the gym. I ordered three to try. This pair was the winner. the Mizuno's fit like a glove, but were not very supportive and did not have much sponge under the ball of the foot. This pair fit well enough and felt like like court shoes should feel. I will wear them in the gym and to play tennis and pickle ball. I generally like Asics, but I find the New Balance to be more supportive. I gave up on Nike long ago: too narrow and for people with higher arches than mine.

This was a repeat purchase. This is the third time I've purchased this model. It provides good support and is comfortable. I have injured my ankles several times over the years so am only allowed New Balance tennis shoes with a roll bar. This model has done very well for me.

I play tennis twice a week and need a wide shoe. These offer good stability and structure and a thicker foot bed for my slightly older feet. They have the largest toe box of any shoe I have ever had, there is almost too much room in the toe box. No pinch points, however, so I am good with the extra room. Very little arch support, which I miss from earlier NB models. I've added arch support.

I have a pair of New Balance that I aDORE, but following foot surgery find them too small. Unfortunately, for me, these are apparently in-between whatever size I need now. I said they're true to size, because they likely are for most people, but for me, they're about 25% too big (so, not even a half size).

I usually wear a 7 EE from New Balance but these were too short and too narrow.

I returned this item. I have a narrow foot with an orthotic so I ordered the 11 medium. The shoe was too narrow and pinching my outer right foot. The shoe on the left foot felt too short. All of my toes bumped against the toe tip. Typically I’ve worn New Balance for Tennis and Pickleball. But this time this shoe brand was inferior to the ASICS shoe I ordered at the same time.

This shoe was nice but too tight in the toe. A little firm on the sole for me.

I really liked the shoe and it was very comfortable, but unfortunately I had to return b/c the toe box runs smaller than the average New Balance.

As previous reviewer noted my sole separated from the top causing a fall on court. This is disappointing to learn it is an issue and not just unusual occurrence with the 806. I have worn New Balance tennis shoes for years and I agree Quality is declining. The web shoes my toes poke through quickly. Luckily I had an older pair of 806 which I am using till I find a new brand. Bummed as now I have to spend more time and aggravation trying different brands. Now that I have seen this is an issue I am sorry I did not photograph before discarding.

I wear this style sneaker for tennis 4x week. I've had 5 pairs in the last 5-6 years. Love the look & usually when worn in they're very comfortable.I'm btw an 8 & 8.5. Bought an 8 cause they stretch.
I played in USTA Sectionals this weekend & wore them for the first time on a hard court. In two hours of play I had a huge painful blister underneath a small bunion, a middle toe was sore on top from jamming into the shoe & I had to take them off. Not sure if the materials used are cheaper or this pair was a bit off, but my left foot is hurt, not forever, but

I had to size up a full size to achieve a good fit. From 7.5 N to 8.5 N.

I have wide feet (2E), for my entire life, this is not something new. New Balance used to be my go to shoe, the one that would fit no mater what. Not anymore. I am not sure what happened to how they make their shoes, but the width sizing is now smaller than what it used to be. I can no longer count on a double wide actually fitting - I all most need a 3E now in New Balance. Saucony is now my default. No where near the selection and cuteness in the double wide, but at least they fit.....
I'd also recommend:
Saucony

I love New Balance but the toe box of this shoe is stiff and my toe seemed to hit the top of it uncomfortably when I moved. I'm returning them.

Needed a new NB sneaker. Tried this, hoping for comfort, stability and style. The sneaker looks good and was somewhat comfortable, but while the toenox felt tight, my heel seemed loose on the left and ok on the right. The sneakers were very stiff and, while they felt supportive, I'm pretty sure I'll end up with blisters. Back they went.

Tapered in and tight at the toes. I couldn’t return them because I had worn them. I ordered a half size up and they were still too tight. I now look for round toe beds on sneakers because a half size up should be enough.
