I bought these for my Bootcamp classes based on reviews from Amazon.com since there were no reviews yet on Zappos. I ordered my normal size 10 1/2, and when I received them they were too small. In true Zappos form, they immediately sent me a size 11 before I even mailed back the other pair. I received them in 2 days and they fit perfectly! I noticed what I had been missing from not using true cross training shoes for the past 2 years of Bootcamp classes. I always wore running shoes, so the support is more for forward foot motions and not for lateral jumping. I also noticed how much more side support I had while doing squats! I was suddenly able to go much deeper than before and not lose my balance as much! The bright colors are fun and they look great. I highly recommend these for any type of cross training work outs.

Comfort + Looks = Perfect (in a shoe anyway). I have rheumatoid arthritis and a very wide forefoot. All of this only adds to my self-consciousness about my large, not-at-all-dainty feet. Problem solved with this shoe, though! It is wide where I need it (the forefoot) and narrow in the heel. The color is not too flashy (I'm not into the neon trend) and, most importantly, my feet don't look huge. If anything it makes them look slightly smaller (and slimmer) than they would in other athletic shoes. They are ideal for cardio and weight lifting workouts - as well as just everyday wear. But warning to those looking for arch support - you'll want to use an insert with this shoe. It has no arch support.

I've been looking to try a new shoe for Jazzercise. These needed no "breaking in" at all. So comfortable and so much support for the high impact, and lateral moves that happen during class. I would highly recommend these to anyone looking for a great fit and all around support. I ordered a 1/2 size up and they are perfect.

I LOVE these shoes! I'm a group fitness instructor, and I bought them for BodyAttack, BodyCombat, and BodyPump. They have really nice support and cushion for plyometrics and lateral movements. They aren't bulky and the shoe itself is flexible. I've noticed that they slip on my heel slightly when lunging, which is my only complaint. Every time that I wear these shoes I get compliments on them. :)

I'm surprised that there are not any other reviews for these shoes. The first review for this shoe was very helpful in helping me take a chance on them. I had also been exercising exclusively in running shoes and never thought much of it. I liked the cushion of running shoes and that was what I wanted to do everything from step aerobics, jazzercise, Zumba, and circuit training. I came to find, however, that I didn't like the bulkiness of my running shoes for dance fitness. So the hunt for cross trainers began. I tried several other pairs and they were not cushioned enough, not stable enough, and very cheap feeling. Also, many of the shoes that were recommended to me for Zumba and cross training didn't offer any wide width sizes. These shoes are perfect! I the cushion they provide in the heel, the flexibility in the toe, and the medial support. They are light and comfy. For myself I need to wear it with a thicker sock because my heel does slip a bit even though it is my size. But that's not a big deal to me. I'm happy my search is over! I will be buying a dance sock to slip over my shoe to use during Zumba to be able to twist and turn.

I bought this shoe for a Zumba class and chose New Balance because it comes in wide widths. I ordered a 7.5 W and the forefoot area was wide enough but strangely, the arch area was super narrow -- a weird hourglass shape for the sole of the shoe. (See the sole view on the photos.) The shape of the sole was just weird overall, with the outer edge (near little toe) jutting well beyond the rest of the forefoot sole, yet the arch (center of the sole) was so narrow that the shoe fabric at the arch extends about 1/2" over the sole. Unless your arches are freakishly narrow, this shoe will cause your arches/feet to roll inwards which can't be good for anyone on a long-term basis. A very bad design in my view. I opted for the Avia: Avi-Select A1440W in size 7.5 W which were perfect. Not only were the Avia shoes 1/2 the price of these New Balance shoes, but the entire sole was proportionally wide enough from arch to forefoot without being loose in the heels. These Avia shoes also have great cushioning. Even if I don't use them for Zumba, they are perfect for use in the weight room.

I loved v1. I loved the version of this shoe like 5 years ago. Why does New Balance keep messing with this model's design? This used to be a minimalist shoe with a very light upper. New Balance keeps building up the sole more and more. This doesn't even look like the shoes I bought a year ago. I'll buy Merrell instead.

I brought these to replace my New Balance WT110 Minimalist Trail Running Shoes, since I don't run on trails much anymore, and my trainer suggested more padded shoes since I was having some hip issues due to my old shoes. The fit was great, I got the same size and width as my old shoes and it is consistent. I don't have the hip issues anymore, although my knees did feel a little off when I first started breaking these in. The arch support does not feel as robust as it did in the WT110s, but since I have high arches, it's not as big of a deal to me.

Really happy with this shoe as a Zumba Instructor. I need more support in forefoot bed than my "like barefoot" flexible soles have been providing now that I teach 4 times/week. Almost tripped once as there is a little bit of a side flange towards heel than I'm used to. should have seen the students gasp...but I didn't fall and am wiser by it. My feet thank me with the addition of custom orthotics that I put in the shoe too.

My size in the New Balance brand is 1/2 larger than what I normally am. I also have differently shaped feet: wide. I like a bit of toe room too. I rarely find shoes that I'm satisfied with. I am on my feet all day and need comfortable shoes with lots of support. I got the 8.5 wide. As soon as I put these on I could feel the difference. My feet are definitely not as sore, some days not at all. These shoes are amazing and so worth the price.

I've been looking for a studio shoe so that I can dance in confidently. I love this shoe for dance classes like Zumba! The sole of the shoe has the perfect amount of "slip" so that you can turn and pivot without injuring yourself, but it also has enough grip to keep you still when you need to plant your feet. I ordered this and 3 other shoes to try to find the perfect studio shoe. I tried two Ryka shoes (Influence and Transition) and another New Balance studio shoe (WX867). I felt like I had the best turn and pivot ability in this shoe compared to the others. I dance on a finished hardwood floor. One of the best parts of this shoe for me is the slightly wider area for the toe box and ball of your foot. I don't have wide feet- wide shoes are way too wide for me- but this area of my foot is a little wider than the average person. This shoe is a great shape if you need a little more room in this area without going wide. The heel and arch are still normal width, but there's just a little extra room up at the top. I also like that I can take out the insoles and use my own orthotics so easily.

I love these shoes. I have a foot condition and cannot wear a lot of shoes. But these are extremely comfortable. And they look great too.

I love these shoes. Very light weight and they are working perfectly for light cardio and weight training. Ordered half size up as always for NB shoes and they fit perfectly.

I got these shoes for doing the Insanity Workout from BeachBody. The are very comfortable fitting width wise as well as very light. My only complaint is for this higher impact workout is that they aren't extremely cushioned like my Nike running shoes were. But even with that they are much more comfortable for side to side movement for Insanity as well as extremely light feeling on my feet.

Really comfortable shoe! I needed a pair of shoes as I developed foot problems. I wear an 11W and usually have trouble finding sneakers as I have a high arch and laces on shoes are too tight. I've worn these about a month now and have no problem. They also look very stylish and don't make my foot look huge as other sneakers do. Nice is how I would submit up!

I wanted a reasonably priced sneaker for Zumba that would fit a wide foot. I tried many pairs and these were by far the best. They're lightweight yet support and are very maneuverable on the wooden floor where I take class. Thank you to the other two reviewers for recommending this sneaker!

Cute shoes. I wanted a cross trainer for kickboxing because running shoes are not good for pivots, etc. Overall, I'm happy with these shoes. They are light weight and comfortable. However, they feel a bit more flimsy than I expected, and when I jump, I don't feel entirely supported. Otherwise, I'm happy with them.

I got these shoes for teaching Zumba and they work just fine. Lightweight, comfy, and supportive. I always order New Balance 1/2 size larger than other shoes. I get many compliments on the color too.

I had a tough time finding the right fit with these. I wear a 6 but first ordered a 6 1/2 as I normally size up for athletic. They were too big and slipped in the heel. I then ordered a 6 but felt it was too narrow and liked the width of the 6 1/2 better. I finally won with the 6 W. I don't normally wear a W width but in these it was great. I find that the one still slips ever so slightly in the heel but I think I just need to adjust the laces. I use these for aerobics (step, zumba) and weight lifting. They are great and are very comfortable. Glad I was able to finally get a good fit.

These are decent shoes for aerobics. I use them for Jazzercise exclusively. They are lighter weight than my previous shoes and less cushion at ball of foot. They provide great lateral support. No break in period either.

I adore the look of these shoes! For a black shoe, they're even cuter in person. However, they are the oddest fitting shoe I've ever tried on. I bought a size 5 in Wide, but they are still a bit narrow. They look and feel like a sturdy shoe on the outside, but on the inside something about them feels cheap. Also, the depth of the shoe is very shallow. I felt like it barely covered my heel, and even though the toe bed is narrow, my heels were slipping terribly in the back. These shoes are being returned, unfortunately.

These shoes look great, and the width was accurate. I did order half a size larger because of reviews. The cushioning was fairly good as far as I could tell. I will be returning these shoes because the arch support is so non-existent, my feet were actually rolling while I was just standing in them! I never tried to exercise in these shoes, and I will be sending them back.

I really wanted to like these, but they just didn't work for me. My heel slipped a bit, which would surely bring on blisters, and I didn't feel like they had nearly enough padding. Looking for a shoe I could wear for kick boxing and Zumba, but this just wasn't it.

These shoes look great but they had no cushioning. I felt they had little support. Also, they were so stiff. Quite disappointing considering how much they cost.

Very disappointed! I got these to replace my worn out NB 871 cross trainers which were very comfortable and good quality. These are not good quality. Feel cheaply made. Made my heels hurt in less than 5 minutes of wearing just walking slowly around my living room. Also felt like a small lump under ball of foot in left shoe. No arch support. Very uncomfortable! Not what I expected from NB. Returning them.
