Customer Reviews Caterpillar Brode Steel Toe

I purchased these under the impression that they would fit to the size advertised. The Zappos rating for fitment was 88% spot on. I agree with this assessment. However, the steel toe pocket does not align with the curvature of the foot pocket. It is actually smaller, such that the termination point of it collides with my fifth tarsal. This would be detrimental over the use-life of the shoe to my feet. Additionally, the amount of cushioning in the soles and heel are on par with a pair of Chuck Taylors. I need more than that. Thereby, I made the decision to return these.

These do not fit as well as the soft toe counterpart. Even when I purchased the wide size, the steel cap digs into the side of my little toes as I took a stride. I did not like these at all.

Nice, low profile safety toe shoe. Casual look and good grip on sole. Steel toe box a little tight - can fill it on inside and outside of foot.

I expected more of these shoes, I ordered a Wide size, and my big toes hurt the first day after 10 hours working, at least they're more comfortable than the cheap boots I had before, it goes comfy on the heels. Another con is they're not slip resistant, either concrete nor steel platforms

I really liked the look of this shoe and to have it with a steel toe, seemed to make it perfect for my needs. Boy, was I wrong. I wouldn't recommend this shoe if you want a comfortable shoe, a shoe with arch support or a shoe that doesn't leak water from the bottom when you wear it in wet weather.

First day at work wearing these shoes...they look great and fit well, but only complaint is the soles have absolutely no cushion, no shock absorption and that sucks...will definitely not buy these again.

The style looks good but they did not hold up. They shoe completely fell apart after about two months. The glue broke down and sides tore away from the base after a month of light, every day use. These shoes look good but are not worth it. You are just paying more for the CAT brand, which is just made by Wolverine.
