I couldn't find anything in the stores that was what I wanted, or even my usual online swimsuit places. I am 66, and don't need to show cleavage or sexy legs. I wanted something comfortable, not too low cut, and simple. This suit was perfect. I don't generally wear it for regular daily lap swimming, only for playing in the pool or beach with my grandkids, but I COULD use it for lap swimming if I wanted. Some Speedo professional-type suits don't have any kind of bra, but this one does. So it has a good combination of features for all-around use. I noticed on the tag that Speedo has levels of durability in its fabrics, and this suit is third down; there are two kinds of fabrics that they use that are more durable than this--but I suspect they are MUCH more expensive. So for my purposes this suit has a good combination of style and durability. Like other reviewers I bought a size bigger than I usually wear, and it fits fine.

I'm 5'7" and weigh 128 lbs. I ordinarily wear an 8 in most clothing, but needed to buy this suit in a size 10. It's a little hard to get on over your hips, but then very comfortable. I like the conservative leg cut, and the suit doesn't ride up. I swim laps in a chlorinated pool 3 times per week, and the suit began to deteriorate and lose it's elasticity after about 4-5 months. I kept wearing it, but now going into it's 7th month it has become too saggy and broken down, and needs to be replaced. Seems like a short life span, even for a heavily used suit.

I was so happy when I received this suit - it fit perfectly. I used it for water aerobics and to swim laps. It never rode up, and I didn't have to worry about straps slipping no matter what stroke I was doing when swimming laps. Now, just barely a month later, the dark blue suit has lightened in spots so much I'm ashamed to wear it. I thought with a speedo I wouldn't have to worry about the color fading. I would have expected more from what I consider an expensive suit. I have suits that are a couple years old, speedos (too small for me now - else I'd still be wearing them!), and they haven't faded. Buyer beware. Not sure if you swam in a salt water pool if fading would be less, but can't express how disappointed I am about this. Suit looks likes its 10 years old rather than 1 month old.

I'm 68 and was looking for a suit that didn't come up high on the hip. This fit perfectly. I read reviews that said to order a size up, but having numerous speedo suits from years ago, I decided to order my current size. I'm 5'9, 180 and I ordered a size 12. I've recently gained 20 lbs, and older suites were simply too tight. I am using this suit to do water aerobics and swim laps. It doesn't ride up, and the cross back ensures it doesn't slip when swimming laps. I wish it was less expensive, but given the fit and how long I searched for a suit that fit and stayed in place no matter the exercise, I figure it's worth it.

I went to the store to find a bathing suit and there were none in my size. I went to Zappos, a site I use often and found exactly what I wanted. It arrived in a timely manner and I wear it each week when I play in the Rec Center with my 22 month old granddaughter.

This is a great suit. I have a pretty long torso, small chest and a round bottom. Normally one piece suits ride up but not this one. It stays in place, covering my bottom and is very flattering. I can swim laps and get in and out of the pool without having to adjust the suit.

Let me say that I started off looking for a one piece I can comfortably wear for hot yoga. I am 63 years old and cannot wear short shorts and bra tops. I am short and curvy, with wide hips. I need support on top and support and full coverage all over. I wanted something that covers me and will not ride up in back. I read the reviews and this suit sounded perfect. I was torn between ordering a size 8 or 10. Since it seemed stretchy enough, I tried the 8. When I received it, it was beautiful. I tried it on and fits beautifully. It has great built in bra support and is conservative enough to cover my wide hips. It has enough spandex to pull me in all over, but does not feel like I'm wearing a bathing suit. It is VERY comfortable. I will wear it for yoga as well as swimming.

I am 5'4" and weigh 138 (really) and built like a stick . I am 72 and use this for water aerobics. This suite is perfect, very easy to put on and take off and has a nice bit of modesty coverage . Its perfectly cit for water aerobics and does not rub underneath the arms. I love it.

I love this suit! I find the cut very feminine and covers all the essentials. Just had hip surgery and needed a suit that covered enough for me to feel comfortable after not working out for so long. My body is a bit tricky so I am so excited I got it right on the first try. I'm 34, 5'2, 34DD, and currently a size 6 but the 8 fit like a glove (I went up because of the bust & hips). Hoping it still fits when I drop the weight back down to a 4...being that it is so snug, it just might!

Flattering fit. With the cut around the thighs, the suit gives a nod to the 1940s look but with a modern athletic look. The top has a build in bra that acts like a sports bra, so the suit is comfortable for working out. Love it!

I was looking for something I could swim laps in comfortably and chase the kids around in the pool. The cut is flattering on me, 5'2" and 110 lbs (bigger on top, smaller in the rear and not as toned as I wish now that I am in my late 40's). I would like another if I could find it in a brighter color - got the blue.

It is a very nice suit, but in the description it didn’t say it had not removable cups. I am very small breasted and I didn’t want anything. At least I could tolerate removable cups, but these are sewn in and too big for my small chest. The suit would have been perfect but because of that I sent it back. The modest leg opening and straps and princess seams were all perfect. I don’t understand why so many swimwear makers think I need a built in bra with removable cups for lap swimming. Personally I want no bra or cups inside my lap suit.

For reference I am in my mid-30’s, 5’8” tall, 130 lbs, and bought a size 6. I have to say this is the most flattering suit I’ve ever owned. I was looking for something with more coverage since things aren’t as taut as they used to be and this suit is just perfect. It’s got great bum coverage and has a slimming waist. It also covers my cleavage entirely, which was nice to have for the family vacation I wore it on. Why are 99% of swimming suits out there more skimpy than my skimpiest underwear? I can’t say much about how well the suit holds up in chlorine since I’ve only worn it a few times in lake water. I took away one star because the leg openings are a bit tight even for my skinny legs and caused some painful chafing after wearing it for a few hours.

Love the swimsuit but the color faded out completely in five months of use to the point you almost see through it. I swim laps twice a week for an hour so it lasted for approximately 40 hours in a chlorine pool. The swimsuit was washed in light detergent, cold water and gently cycle immediately after every use. My husband and I swim together and his swimming trunks still look like new so its clearly a Speedo material and dye issue. Because it fits so well, has good coverage, stays in place, doesn't ride up and the racer back straps don't slide off your shoulder, I ordered another. I'll just have to accept the fact that it must be replaced frequently just like running shoes, otherwise I would have given it a higher overall rating.

Not for an hour glass/pear shaped figure. It was too big up top, too long in the torso, and too tight in the leg opening and butt area. I kept it because I am overseas currently and felt I could make it work but when I went swimming (I swim laps for cardio) my bust felt like it was going to spill out because it was too loose up top. Disappointing. I am just going to have to wear it for leisure swimming - definitely not for laps.

i was a little confused on which size to buy, so i went with the size chart and got a 14. my measurements are 41-30-42, 36D bra size and i’m 5’6” with a long torso. i thought the suit was going to be too long on first impression but after trying it on it actually fits great. i haven’t swam in it yet but i’m definitely looking forward to it! covers all the areas you’d want properly covered.

This swimming suit is very comfortable and very flattering! I purchased it for swimming lessons with my 1 year old and it's perfect. Stays in place and covers all areas when he is grabbing at the straps! The lower cut leg is perfect for camouflaging wider hips.

Certainly the best made and most comfortable swimsuit I've ever owned. Quality construction, supportive yet comfortable built in shelf bra with cups (removable), and great fabric. I think it's very flattering, and I LOVE that I don't have to worry about it riding up in back. Very comfortable for water aerobics. Thrilled I bought this.

This is exactly the suit I needed for exercise purposes. I'm in my 30s, I'm 5'5" and around 140 lbs. I have an hourglass shape, and it's hard to find something that fits my hips and actually covers my rear appropriately. So grateful for this suit. The bust (and waist) is a tiny bit loose, but I know it wouldn't fit my hips if I went down a size (I got a size 14). I just wanted something I could wear to swim laps in the evening, and I think this will be perfect.

Really comfortable, practical swimsuit for swimming laps! I never have to worry about the suit not sitting right or anything accidentally *falling* out - really allows me to focus on my workout. The cut allows a full range of motion with my arms and legs, and it has the added benefit of contouring my body. While this is supposedly a "conservative" cut, I actually find it very athletically chic - no frills, no trying-too-hard. For reference, I am 5'4", 122lbs, 34C. A size 8 is very comfortable. It fits well around my hips and chest, with a little extra fabric around the waist (like wrinkly) so it can definitely work for someone who's taller.

The swimsuit was exactly what I wanted even if I did not look as good as the model. It arrived in time for my cruise. This is the perfect way to shop for a swimsuit in the privacy of my home. Thanks, Zappos!

Best swimsuit I've ever bought. I swim laps a few days a week, and this is so comfortable during the swim. It makes me look slimmer (didn't expect that), and it's well made. I love how it's slightly more conservative around the leg and arm areas, yet it doesn't have an outdated look. Speedo knows how to make a swimsuit.

This suit is made for a true swimmer with a great figure, that is no stomach. It shows every little bit of fat in the body.

I got a size larger than what I normally wear and it fits very well. I swim on average three days a week in a pool, and seems to be holding up with the chlorine. I also like the modest style.
